I wish. Savage Deviljho's SA has the coolest sword mode in the game but if you're using that weapon at all it has to be in axe mode or it's useless. It would be nice to seriously be able to use it for once.

Every weapon should use kinsects!
GS: flies from the tip of the sword, replaces sword slap
Hammer: stays on the backside of the hammer until you superpound, then flies straight up
DS: Kinsect is on your back and flies in the opposite direction when you do a dash, returns when you sheathe.
Bowguns: flies when you reload, automatically after the last ammo you have loaded fires, or when you try to fire with no ammo
S&S: Uses Nectar Oil to mark a monster part that the kinsect attacks automatically, allows you to get many extracts in quick succession
Prowler: airlifts cat like seltas does with S. queen

Mantis LS is overrated as hell desu.
Any LS with longer sharpness that isn't forced into Readiness will beat it.

Meant to =/= able to. You can dodge around attacks if it's easier, but dodging through them is a DPS increase because it allows you to stick closer to the monster.

From memory, in the third generation games you have two frames of invulnerability to dodge attacks with, increasing to 9 and then to 12 with Evasion+1 and +2 respectively.
