I don't play them so take this with a grain of salt. Afaik theres not much difference between them in damage, maybe one is a little better than the other but not significantly so. They're both highly desirable for raiding, and the current meme comp has both bard and machinist in it. Bard buffs caster damage and while I think mch has the capability to buff magic or physical damage it is most often utilized for its buff to physical damage. I can't tell you a thing about how they play.

Your 20% physical damage increase poisons effect Fuma because it's considered physical damage. Raiton is considered magic damage. Due to the latency and GCD clipping when using Raiton over Fuma, you're losing more dps than you gain. The ONLY time you use Raiton over Fuma is after using Kassatsu and when Foe's is up. If those two requirements are not met then the potency between a venom buffed Fuma and a base Raiton is very very small, and the gap is even less when (as I said) you take into consideration the GCD clipping.
