No, his LB has a longer range than her cone and his FS has a longer range than her blizzard also his stun goes about the same range as her fb. Only her fb has an okay range after you upgrade it. Jaina is more of a flanking mage than other mages who just sit back and spam abilities, she needs to get in melee range to hit her cone which is her hardest hitting ability.

I've played Jaina excessively since beta.

I started as an elemental player. Takes a bit of work, but it's chase is superb if you know what you're doing. Use it to poke/slow while you come around and spam your three spells on the enemy. Running the elemental out of any potential attack range in the meantime.
Half the target's health is gone.

Now, this falls apart a bit when the enemy team groups. Which is where ring tends to shine. CC wins matches folks!

BUT! If you're playing for late game potential, the burst of double cast spells is absurd. You can solo anyone and kill them with two rounds of casts. Add in icy veins on 13 and anything dies almost instantly.
Popped a Mura that way on DK map while sneaking a shrine. So I know it works!

It has a completely different feel than any other hero, and it's very fun to be this commander who has global reach over the game. Your influence is also not very visible, and you push, and heal, and place a mine here and there. It also feels incredibly rewarding to get kills with the hat or with the mines. And you can pull of some retarded shit with your slug body. Or you can hat a minion to finish off an enemy. It's all good.

It is also not usually as stressful as other heroes, because you're not making decisions on where to go and now to position yourself (well, you are, but not like a normal hero).

It's also very easy to play him, since people don't know how to counter him in low-MMR QM, and you can just go Monstrosity build and push keeps and have triple kills. They never expect those.

Abathur MVPs are the best.

He's good against literally one thing, and that's diving backline mages. So he's drafted in those games, and he wins more often than not.

Cassia is the same, however she is 1) Too new to havbe a significant number of games in ranked, 2) Too new for people to her draft correctly 3) Her numbers are low because 99% of her games recorded on HOTS Logs (A near dead site with a shit number of replays now) are from Quick match.

I do think she needs some slight buffs to plate of the whale and war traveler, but that's it.

After a while, she will fall into like like Anub did.

One thing I do warn is that early game Kael's convection quest is pretty dangerous and requires extremely careful positioning compared to most heroes due to you losing stacks on death. Just play more cautiously and avoid potential scenarios where you can get focused or drived on.

Varian is in the same class as Thrall when he's not a tank. His abilities facilitate him to get up close and whack them with his sword, not the main source of his damage.

If you are in a game where it's dangerous to consider Convection, don't pick it. It's really, really not worth it. Kael's damage is fine without it.
