Taunt Warrior looks interesting, I remember trying to get that to work back in Gadgetzan with the buff cards. Was obviously pretty bad then.

The Priest quest also looks pretty fun, is that any good? I haven't been able to play much since launch, so I've had little experience with the new stuff.

I've played 50 games as Quest Warrior, and dropped the Deathrattle card twice.

What are better alternatives? Cornered Sentry has the same stats (1 less attack) almost, but costs 2.

Hell, Mog Warden is 1/7 for 4, and works well with Alchemist for dirty shit plays

Friendly reminder that Pirate Warrior is outclassed by Aggro beast hunter in every way , which is the true cancer of aggro decks with its 2 mana 'not' frothing berserker

You can play the quest in zoo discard, it's just 95% of the time you will win or lose before the quest is done, and even if it's done, the reward is not worth making your deck a bit worse or making sub-optimal plays to get the reward faster.

You can play the paladin quest in a specific deck for it, it's just you will lose because you're playing a deck worse than basic recipes.

Thoughts? I was thinking about it and I feel like crazed alchemist is really underutilized in zoolock, it has a lot of synergy with the deck itself but it's also incredibly useful for killing taunts or especially for dealing with doomsayer, and a 2/2 for 2 isn't bad at all. You can even proc the egg with it.

The only legit Turn 2 Dirty Rat I can think of is vs Quest Rogue to fuck up bounce, or maybe Pirate Warrior, as they may not be able to break through the 6 health taunt.

It is risky and dumb though.

I almost got killed by one the other day, although that was my fault for using my last 2 mana on a dirty rat. Put me to 3 but luckily I was able to kill it and forbidden healing back up to 20.

If my hand is bad, i.e. shitty mulligan, I lose to Zoo Warlock probably 50% of the time. Darkshire Councilman is pretty GOAT combined with those Elemental Battlecry things that give you loads of minions - sometimes I am seeing a huge fucker bearing down on me with no taunt in hand, no execute, no whirlwind etc, and it's a lost cause.

Other Taunt Warriors are a toss up - I'd say I outsmart most of them though - Dirty Ratting vs Taunt Warrior tends to be a safe move, and a double Dirty Rat on turn 4 is a decent play - slows their quest down a lot, and you can clean up later if necessary as you have Taunts down, and most Taunts are fairly weak (12 health on the board to break through).

Quest Rogues if they are fast enough - turn 4/5 completion and it's difficult for me to recover.

Pirate Warrior can theoretically wreck you with a bad mulligan too, as their starter damage is so fast. Once you get a big taunt out though, they are fucked.

I started to lose a lot to Lyra Priest but learnt the patient game works best here - I just hold back all my removal/whirlwinds/executes/brawls, and try to time a sneaky as fuck dirty rat to pull out lyra. Beat the last 5 Lyra priests.

Obviously Exodia Mage can wreck your arse - the infinite Fireball deck is a bit silly if they can survive long enough to pull it off / not get Dirty Ratted. Giant Mage is dog shit though.


No idea what the fuck Hunters, Druids, Paladins, and Shamans are doing - I wreck them all. Druids are probably the most pathetic of all.

The only other free2play game I play is Puzzle and Dragons, and have done for the last 3-4 years now.

When you compare the two models - Blizzard are a fucking joke, giving people crumbs, whereas Gungho (actually, most Japanese devs do) give loads of free stuff to hook you in.

Honestly - put yourself in a free player's shoes right now - you cannot compete at all. You can't even get in on Quests, as they are Legendary. The gateways and locked doors in front of players is ridiculous (either essential cards locked in Adventures, AND uncraftable, OR super expensive cards no casual could ever craft anyway unless they grind forever).

Who wants to grind forever with a shitty deck, just to craft one card out of a necessary 10+ cards, that all require almost as much grinding per card (if Epic or higher).

Hell, even players who are lucky enough to have loads of dust (I had a Golden Ragnaros), are stuck in a rut - I can only play one deck now, I am essentially locked in for life as I can't ever hope to craft anything else than what I aimed for from the start

*this is my secret tactic nobody knows about, as Dirty Rat into one of their Taunts doesn't count towards their quest. You can almost always safely double Rat on turn 4 or 5, and clean up whatever shit gets pulled out, as usually it'll just be some taunt that has low attack anyway (i.e. no worry about face damage with 2 rat taunts on the table).
