If I'm being honest, I love two handed spears and polearms in general in games, and I'm upset that Bloodborne's only spear turned out like this when tricked.

It still performs decently on my 50 SKL/25 BLT build, with the shots doing decent damage and so it feels good to use the entirety of the moveset, transform attacks and all, but at the same time I just prefer to use the Reiterpallasch in this fashion.

The strategy for Amy in general is to get behind them to bait out the jumping attack. Your position should cause the attack to miss you and leave the head relatively close to you for easy pickings. Rinse and repeat until dead. Stage 3 actually becomes the easiest since Amy looses all of the attacks outside the jump that can hit you in that area.

Attack the glowing, blue arm safely until Amy tears its arms off. Afterwards, jump cheese by hugging its tail and staying aligned with it. You should be able to stand still and land a fully-charged R2 to the head without taking any damage.
During co-op, Amy starts spinning like a top and god forbid anybody so much as glances at its tail because it will leap and crush somebody. The jump is almost a death sentence in co-op. Sometimes you don't know who it's aggroing, and if you don't dodge correctly, you're a human tomato. You also can't jump cheese for the exact same reason.

Basically once you make a Depth 5 FRC, you can access any of the glyphs as long as you have access to the root chalice.
So run through Loran and Isz and make sure to pick up the Red Jellies and Sinister chalices as well. After that I'd go through Ihyll before making an FRC Isz, which is the cheapest.

Boop the snoot till it breaks. Bait its attacks and punish. Once you break the head, you'll do far more damage. The charge has a start-up animation, so watch out for that and dodge laterally.

Roll sideways, whack him on the snout. Do that enough and the armor on his head will break and he'll take something like two or three times as much damage to his head.

He's daunting at first, but all of his attacks are super telegraphed and almost all of them have enough endlag to allow a hit. Just keep at it, you'll get him eventually.

Patiently. If you stay in front of it you can bait out a bite. Then you boop the snoot while it recovers. It's long and tedious, but it's safe and can be done solo. If you need advice on the charge, learn it's startup and try to keep moving to the side slightly so that you can avoid it easier.

I attacked the legs till he collapsed. First the back two, then his front right, then his head. From there it was only 5 or so more hits before he dropped. I found the front legs to be difficult to target the way I was dodging his attacks though. I would roll into him to avoid his swipes, which would put me rather far away from his front legs. That, combined with the fact that he moves a lot, means I had trouble popping the front leg I could get.
Also, I found the type of weapon I use to help a lot. When I tried with the BoM or Chikage, it was very, very difficult. The Saw Spear was slightly easier than those two, but still not easy. I've had good success with the tricked wheel and with an arcane saif against him. The wheel has huge lingering hitboxes that make it tough to miss him once you're in range, and the saif swings quickly and untricked / transforming it has some good horizontal moves with a lot of poise break (which is important in this fight)

I finally did it, I made it to the part of the game which makes me question my sanity. Orphan of Kos is the Orsntein and Smough of BloodBorne

Every other boss killed me dozens of times but it was allright, I didn't get mad, just repeatedly tried again untill they died.

With this Oprhan I'm so fucking frustrated. I feel like the controller is just not responsive and I'm pressing the button but there's a delay. Either he slams me to the ground and then his second attack kills me before I manage to get up

It's almost impossible to parry him and the punishment for failing is too high so that strategy is off the table
He is just too fast. Too fast 4 me. Maybe I don't have these kind of twitch reactions required to pass this part of the game, maybe my electrical sygnals from the brain to my fingers are too fucked up slow from years of weed abuse

Orphan is hard because he runs counter to every other boss in the game.

Thats the biggest trick to Orphan. All his moves are designed to heavily punish people who dodge back to avoid attacks. Heal when you dodged into his personal bubble if you need to, then attack. You won't like it, but its the way Orphan works.
>Smaller is better
Again, Orphan punishes player who use the slower weapons. LHB, HMLS, Beast Cutter, LogWheel and the likes are all disadvantageous against Orphan. Skill builds should be fine, but Strength builds can use the likes of slightly faster weapons such as Boom Hammer, Whirligig, AmyArm, Axe or Saw Cleaver for a better chance.

,but rather than using the gun, its just easier to charge up an attack when he jumps over your head. Its an easy to recognise attack, just twig it. The guns can be used on some of the obvious attacks, but be more careful when using it.

It spawns on Kos's body, not Orphan. Hide in the cave you came in or far out at sea. Try to keep off the shore itself if possible because collision can fuck up a reposte.

Famr the frenzy Winter Lanterns for decent droplet gems (I think they drop about +18%'s?). Go for the ones like 'Vs beasts down' or 'Stamina usage up' for the negative effect, because it is easily mitigable

Oh and he aint classed as kin, so that ~+22% kinhunter triangle gem the game gave you? Yeah, its useless against Orphan.
