You only ever got the Souls games to begin with because console money and sales let the games even happen in the first place so there wasn't as much risk. No one will risk making a game exclusive to PC anymore.

Just finished the Ringed City DLC (except Midir), and hell they made Gael fight so fucking good. The attacks, the music, the large fighting areas, everything was perfect. After such a lackluster fight Soul of Cinder was, this one was the perfect way to finish Dark Souls trilogy.

Also why the fuck the 2nd phase of Midir is so unfair? Can't even attack him since he just jumps across the entire map everytime I get close to him

Undead Village, Cathedral of the Deep, Irithyll, Archdragon Peak, Irithyll Dungeon+Profaned Capital are all top notch areas. The only average areas are Catacombs+Smoldering lake and Road+Faron keep.

Even when you're fighting 1v1 you have more total HP (which makes a huge difference in terms of scoring a kill) and double the estus on average, it's not crazy to lure you into mobs when possible. Damage is generally low for invaders without hardcore twinking, especially thanks to upgrade level matchmaking, estus is fast, rolls are powerful and summons are common because the system prefers to match you with hosts that have summons; all these things make it difficult to score kills. Great heavy soul arrow. Stack as many of these as you can. That's basically it. These two spells will be your main spells for killing everything. Can also grab soul spears later.

Pyromancer is more viable and easier to make work and likely has a higher skill ceiling if you learn to manually aim great chaos fireballs. Sorc only does one kind of damage really while a pyro can easily do two types of high damage and even use sorc or miracles with sole reduced capacity. Also pyro can lob huge fast nukes to hit players in pvp easier than sorcerers.

Miracles have some new toys but unless you know how to get them early it won't be fun.

As for the spaz attack, I assume you mean the one that doesn't start with the flame breath downward? Know that he's going to track the first upward sweep, so you just have to roll it at the right time. You can avoid it by being close enough to roll directly under him, where he can't shoot the beam, otherwise you just have to keep timing it.

Best practice is always to stay as close to him as possible to encourage him to use other attacks.

Kill Dragonrider as early as possible, all of his weapons have Magic scaling. Maybe twice if you feel like it.

Ascetic on Najka and Skeleton Lords, the rings are godly on all caster types.

Fight Freja a total of three times (two Ascetics), for Major League Great Sword and Crystal Soul Spear. You also get a chance at an early Blue Flame or two via a NG+ phantom.

Optional is Santier's Spear, it's good damage and a great moveset on a weapon that doesn't scale with physical stats.

Complete Navlaan's questline, the spell at the end is worth it.

According to Miyazaki, yes, they literally reached the fire and failed to become cinder, instead burning to nothing and becoming ash. I suppose the difference between cinder and ash is more metaphorical; the Lords of Cinder managed to hold on to their forms, while the Unkindled failed and just immediately burnt to ashes. I guess the Unkindled just didn't have enough fire resistance gear.

Of course, its kind of bizarre because when did the other Unkindled try to link the fire? When would Hawkwood have done it? He presumably deserted before his fellow Abyss Watchers linked the fire, so he wouldn't have been with them, and he wouldn't have tried to link it after it had already been linked. Maybe his desertion was him trying to link the fire himself and utterly failing, with the rest of the Watchers then linking it.
