okay, so the way i compare damage between weapon+sets is pretty simple. i'll use that fatalis IG set as an example.

first, i work out a weapon's effective raw and element, factoring in skills and sharpness. fatalis overlord is 330 raw with 43 thunder, and gets purple sharpness and 100% affinity with those skills(and crit bug).

330*1.4*1.39=642.18; the weapon's effective raw. 1.4 is the multiplier for 100% crit boost, 1.39 is the purple sharpness raw multiplier.
43*1.2=51.6; the effective element. 1.2 is the purple element multiplier

then I multiply raw by 0.2862, a number i got by multiplying the triple up bonus(1.2), IG's idle X attack mvs(0.25+0.13+0.15=0.53) and a 45 hitzone(0.45), a weak spot. you'd get 183.791916 which is the raw damage you'd deal.

the effective element i multiply by 0.6, a number i got by multiplying the number of hits in the idle x attack(3) by common element weak spots(0.2). 30.96 is amount of element damage from the attack.

when added together, you get about 214, which is the amount of damage the fatalis IG would deal on 45 raw/20 ele hitzone with idle X(and triple up active, and all the other skills). so it's just working out the effective raw and element, then multiplying by 0.2862 and 0.6, and adding them together. okay, you guys can tell me how wrong i am now.

for example IG has Crimson Fatty

330 Good Purple with Sharpness+2 and 15% affinity with 3 Slots

Simply slap

Razor Sharp
Sharpness+2
Crit Boost
Repeat Offeder / Crit Eye+3

And you have one hell of a set for IG and like 80-90% affinity most of the time.

Also does not use mantis pieces.
