I am playing DS3 again - third time, and first time with both DLCs. At what level should i enter each DLC, and what's the ideal max level for pvp in general at the moment ? Also i am going for a STR build with mainly 2h swords (hollowslayer greatsword at the moment). I beat the deacons last night, still pretty lowbie - would love any tips

What is even the point of being a Spear of the Church after the nerf. I got to rank 3 and I'm done until they undo their shitty nerf that ruined it. Being summoned into a fight against fours dudes with no reliable way to regain health just isn't any fucking fun at all. I may as well just invade in the regular DLC areas for the exact same exact experience.

I just started a sorc yesterday and muled over the damage boost rings and a court sorcerer staff. From level 15 or so I've been doing way more damage than phantoms I summoned or host who summon me. I just pumped INT until sl 50 and now I'm hitting 60 INT and can almost one shot players if I catch them with soul spear while ambushing them with obscure ring.

I also have been burning down bosses since vordt except for Sage. Fuck Sage.

Can't wait to get soul stream tomorrow.

wrath of the gods is a meme and it isn't good even with unfaltering prayer. I think you could find a way to save some spell slots so you don't have to use the darkmoon ring. I think 45/45 is the standard cap as well, but I'm not sure what the damage difference is

For pvp i use sage+2, bellowing, chloranthy, and obscuring.

For pve, i swap with dusk crown ring, and damage boosy rings.

I just killed dsa with maybe 6 to 8 direct spell hits or so and most were just soul arrows

I get my enjoyment from the game once my character is finished and I'm co-op'ing end game bosses and PvP'ing/invading people with my finished build. Lightning/Raw Dragonslayer Axe used to be one of the better weapons for a str/fth build. The lothric knight GS is a good choice as well, raw infused and buffed with lightning blade works really well.

For a Crucifix build you can use mine and move stuff around how you want, I basically use mostly dark blade for PVP/boss fights, lightning arrow and sunlight spear for range. You can keep yourself topped off with Projected Heal, and I have that much attunement so my FP bar is slightly longer than my stamina bar. https://www.mugenmonkey.com/darksouls3/164587

So to make it easy you use a weapon with high base damage and no scaling and then throw all of your points into health and stamina. Later you respec into faith.

Wizard Souls 2019:

>R2 shoots a soul spear. charge it to make it stronger, roll R2 for the followup to it instead which is a quick soul spear barrage type shotgun thing
>Weapon art "Burst" is a magic force thing that parries/deflects things/stuns things

Now, let's swap them around

>Same skills, but now Burst is in the first slot, Arrow is in the second slot and Spear is in the third slot

>With same sorcery catalyst:
>R1's are now a magic combustion type thing, like a localized shockwave you point forward infront of you, psychic blast looking shit
>r2's are now the soul arrow, but they're homing and larger
>Special attack is now a super soul spear laser mode thing

etc

You make your own magic combo's and be your own wizard. Basically what the hackers in Dark Souls 2 did, but an actual game.

I've tried SL99s, 120s, 130s and I had a character at 150 but he doesn't see many invasions at all.

So, for chaining NG+ runs, popping dried fingers and trying to fight my way through, what SL does /dsg/ thing'll net me the most invaders?

idk investing in faith and just using a raw straight sword is really good IMO and you still get the Faith feel. You get to buff your weapon, throw spears, and heal.

I'm using a raw dragonslayer axe at base stats, but 60fth. I buff with Sacred Oath and Lighting Blade and the damage is insane. I just melted away Friede's 3 healthbars in a minute.

As someone who just completed a dried finger run through a NG+ cycle past 7 (muh divine blessings and siegbraus), SL120 was "active" but almost all of them were boss invasions so you end up just running through the level while they hide and then crystal them out before you do the boss. If you're looking to spice up your NG+ runs, dried fingering really isn't even worth it - Just use a joke weapon or something.

If you don't mind stopping at NG+1 and also want to challenge yourself complete the game at a low SL anywhere between 15-35 with low weapon memory (1-3) and dried finger the swamp with seeds active.

It will get to the point you won't be able to stop until you die or walk through the fog, nonstop invasions and high dmg high health mobs running around swinging at everyone creates a crazy chaotic atmosphere, summon grandad if you want to wipe the entire map.
