I don't know what the fuck they were thinking, that's just asking for a balance nightmare. With the sustain nerfs she should actually be okay though; her combos are very interesting. Her character design is awful, she just looks ugly. Nobody wants to be a grandma with knives for legs, especially in a skintight bodysuit, if she was a cute girl, she would have 80% pick rate.

Conclusion: Good year, but too many dumb ideas for the sake of being unique. Riot is fucking incapable of making a quality female character nowadays.

On a macro level I find League's worldbuilding pretty uninteresting due to how everything is described as a "melting pot" so all the native cultures sound very watered down. Plus it's grimdark but not taken to the level that makes grimdark fun.

On a micro level it's really fucking neat though, which makes sense for a Moba since they focus on individual characters. I think Riot needs to loosen up and be less afraid to introduce new cultures and landmarks into the setting. They made Jhin Ionian because they didn't have a wild west place but then they released Kled a couple months later fucking eating tacos in the Noxian plains.

In terms of actually working, my art and writing skills are pretty shit, so I think I'd be better on skins/champions/reworks or even balance if I worked there. Would jump on it if I could though.

Boxes are shit, the more individual things you have in a setting, the more interesting it is (to a reasonable extent). It's a huge mistake to make everything come from the same source.

I like settings with a lot of iceberg tips, since all we see in the actual video game are individual champions, a huge amount of depth could be added to the setting from the implication of just one champion's existence. Riot aren't really abusing that enough, they're designing champions around the setting instead of the setting around the champions.
