Dude if they were spiritualists then all historical civilizations were so, they had a religion but they were very low key about compared to most other historical nations.
Unless you are thinking about late roman empire and the byzantine, then yes they should be spiriualist and have the divne mandate gov as the religious aspect of the Emperors became a lot more important.

>The Romans believed that gods controlled their lives and, as a result, spent a great deal of their time worshipping them.
>After the reign of the Emperor Augustus (27 BC to AD 14), the emperor was also considered to be a god and he was worshipped on special occasions.
>Each family home would also have a small altar and shrine. The Romans had personal household gods or spirits called ‘lares’ which were worshipped every day at home.
They may have been slightly more secular than other ancient civilizations, but spirituality was still an extremely important aspect of Roman society even while they still followed Hellenic paganism.

No, but many ancient civilizations and societies, Rome included, were strongly invested in a mythological pantheon of some sort (except the Persians and Israelites, they had Zoroastrianism and Judaism respectively). By the time of the Middle Ages, this was transposed with Christianity in Europe and Islam in the Middle East. Only in the Renaissance did secularism begin to circulate as a common practice among nations.

Should I invest fully in armor/shields or should I have a little bit of both?

Depends on your power tech, weapon tech, and who you're fighting.

If your enemies have armor-pierce, use shields. If they use shield-pierce, use armor.

Personally I care more about power use. You always want to be as close to 0 power on a given ship as possible, so I give each ship the best systems it can have, the best weapons, and then see what I have left for shielding. I think all ships should have at least a small amount of shields, because shields recharge so it's effectively damage reduction, but if I don't have enough power for shields and a free slot left, I'll put armor on. For bigger ships, I like to keep it at 1:2 shield / hull ratio and fill the rest with armor.
>>
>>173275316
Fanatic spiritualists and militarist
>>
>>173275380

Kind of off topic here, but I wonder why the people who made the all white mod didn't just make a race-based mod in general, so it seemed less 'offesneive'.

Like just a little option or tickbox that makes a human faction 'All white, all black, all middle eastern, all asian, etc.'

That way, everyone is happy.

>WHY IS THIS GAME THAT I STOLE NOT WORKING REEEEEEEE
>>
>>173273819
At this point even for shit i actually own, i just pirate it because it works just fine without 3 layers of download managers with ingame reminders to login and shit, and i can actually archive them for the time when a mandatory patch (wich it will want to dowload before doing anything else) fucks everything up 5-10 years from now, or it gets cucked from content like the old GTAs with the music license running out, or saboteur losing its DLCs because the authentication server shut down. And thats not mentioning games with gamespy sickness. On top of that thanks to general DLC and preorder fuckery and releasing GOTY/gold editions and shit its usually the only viable way to get the full experience wihtout shelling out 300 bucks

So yeah, buying a game is a formality nowdays to show support for deserving devs, as the pirated copy is a flat-out superior product most of the time.
>>
>>173275348
>I'd be more inclined to actually purchase it
No you wouldn't. Paradox could make this game a 10/10 and you'd still pirate it. Don't even try to pretend otherwise.

The fact you pirated it in the first place demonstrates the game is good enough for you to spend your time on. Hence, it's good enough to spend your money on, but you're just too entitled to do so, and too delusional or insecure to admit it.

+ It has many role-playing and gameplay features.
+ Mods
+It's more fun than most 4x space mods.

-All of it's role-playing and gameplay features are bland as fuck and paper-thin complex.
-Mods do not really redeem the job of the developers.

In vanilla Beyond Earth you are always fucking poor because they didn't properly.balance health.
In Rising Tide you are always fucking rich because they also didn't balance health, but in the opposite direction.

"Unbalanced" is the theme. Trade agreements range from "Literally Nothing" (party politics) to "Completly gamebreaking" (estate tax) and the AI can't tell the difference. Hybrid ethics give you endgame units in the early midgame. Several units you will never, ever see built as they are both in obscure pointless branches of the tech tree, and shit (Aegis, Roktopus). They didn't rescale the map sizes to account for the viability of water cities so there is never any "fight for territory" and you can easily go an entire game with your borders never touching somebody elses'.

All in all, it's a bunch of theoretically OK ideas, but the devs just picked them up by hand, threw them at the canvas, and said "Good enough".

Best thing about the game is artefact combination. Think Civ V archaeologists, but instead of putting the things they dig up into a museum for Suitcase Mana, you fuse three of them together to give you access to otherwise unobtainable buildings and wonders, some of which are insanely overpowered. And there's dozens of them. I've still not even seen them all. The excitement of seeing what crazy shit you'll get when you combine them is what keeps me coming back to the game despite its many terrible flaws in every other aspect.

It IS stupid, and you get the impression that part of the reason they did it is because Swedes don't understand any playstiles other than "The Federation" and "Literally Hitler".

>>
>>173285091
>I feel that these late game threats are pure bullshit on the smaller maps.

You're not wrong.

They literally don't rebalance crisis strength in any way for map size, so you'll be facing the same strength Unbidden fleets on 200 stars as you will when ypu have 5 times the resources on 1000 stars.

I mean, I kinda like it because *I* know that 1000 stars = easy mode and 200 stars = death wish mode and I know what I'm getting myself into and can choose according to taste, but if you're a n00b who doesn't know that, I imagine it is quite frustrating
>>
>>173285123
Slavery only works on a per-species basis now, you can't enslave individual pops. You change a setting in your species management window and it either allows the species to be enslaved or doesn't, and if it's allowed it automatically enslaves all pops of that species. So if you have slavery allowed from the start, literally your whole race will be enslaved. The same is true for purging.

Authoritarian is garbage right now because their bonuses are 25% reduced cost on resettlement (who even cares about that?) and -10% slave unrest, which is literally a shittier version of the Spiritualist bonus of just -10 unrest. So basically they gave Authoritarians one bonus nobody cares about and another that's a worse version of another ethos's bonus.

Combine the shitty new bonuses and how fucked slavery/purging is, and there's no reason to play authoritarian at all. You can't enslave and purge pops anymore, it's just done automatically on a per-species basis.
>>
Hows the late game lag? Last I played med galaxies became slow af in late game and large ones were comic tier speed with almost no movement.

>>
>>173283963
Satellites have never been balanced. Some of them are expressly designed to take cities, but they never fucking work.
You can't overlap any satellite aoe, so you can only have one satellite in range to attack a city, and cities themselves have massive fucking anti satellite missile range, satellites also all die in one shot.
So you spend 10 turns building a giga orbital ion death cannon, launch it, shoot once and do 40% of a cities health, then in the transition the city shoots down the satellite and that's the end of it.

Also if you ally every AI in the game and one of them declares war on another everyone in the game will end up at war with each other.

>You can't enslave and purge pops anymore, it's just done automatically on a per-species basis.
Fucking why? It worked perfectly in older versions if you just wanted to enslave or purge cunts off of one planet. This would also open up the opportunity for other planets that hold the species to revolt, making revolt mechanics actually interesting and a result of your actions.
>>
>>173285456
I really don't know why they made satellites immobile. It would solve most of these problems.
They're the unit that MOST deserves a large number of movement points.
You want balance, just keep the fuel gague as -1 per turn and ALSO as -1 per hex moved. Can't move out of orbital coverage, requires launch complex to deploy. Can move into others' orbital coverage but that requires 2 fuel per hex not 1.
There, satellites become good enough to use, but not ridiculous.

>>173286131
What's wrong with memeterialist? It's always been alright. In the very first version it was never a choice because spiritualist just gave you like 10% happiness which was straight better. As it is now the revolt chance instead is good enough.

So by fighting a protectorate war against a nation that's attacking a city state that's a vassal of mine, there's no warmonger penalty for either capturing or razing their cities? Or is the pic related popup just misleading?

There should be a setting in your policies about how to deal with pre-sentient species. If you have it set to "exterminate" they will be automatically killed off. Collectivist/Individualist made sense in that they contradict each other, but the bonuses assigned to them in game didn't make sense. Collectivism doesn't necessarily imply slavery and individualist societies aren't necessarily free of it.

Authoritarianism/Egalitarianism has the opposite problem. Slavery being associated with authoritarianism and not egalitarianism makes sense, but egalitarianism and authoritarianism aren't necessarily opposites. You can have a society that enforces egalitarianism through authoritarian means.

The other problem is that neither of them really make sense as a democracy vs autocracy slider. You can have individualist, egalitarian monarchies (Netherlands) and collectivist, authoritarian democracies (Singapore).

Personally, I'd say Paradox should bring back Collectivism and Individualism, but make the slavery mechanic independent of ethics and remove their influence on democracy vs autocracy. Instead, give collectivism bonuses to unity and influence, and individualism bonuses to energy and happiness or something.

My last game in 1.4 I was the thrall of an awakened empire. I had been for about 150 years, and I percieved them as getting kinda pissed at me for my relentless efforts to grab border worlds before they could and generally interfere with their expansion in a plausibly-deniable manner.

They DoW'd a third party and one of the war demands was that *I* liberate one of the third party's systems. Of course, they won as a pushover without me lifting a finger and I was duly given a big relations boost and a "Guarantee Independence" on this new shitty one planet empire.

The very next month the AE declared war on this one planet empire - since I, legally, was its liberator, they had no truce with it. And since I had been induced to give an independence guarantee, this therefore left me at war with my master for the honour of this artificial one-month old country I didn't even like.

Now, I'm 100% sure this was a bug / exploit that Paradox was too stupid to notice and the AI just blundered into blindly, but from an RP-political-intrigue perspective it was fucking great.

I think what you're supposed to do is always run the maximum possible number of sectors rather than one megasector, so if you change a focus it only affects the 5 planets of the sector and makes only a marginal difference, rather than 95 planets of a megasector and it crashes your whole economy.

But this is never actually explained or even implied anywhere until you find yourself facing mass starvation and -500 energy and realise that this might not have been such a good idea.

But micro-ing sectors is fucking depressing. It is to proper planetary micro as putting six condoms on at once is to bareback sex

>it's almost as if building one single giant "sector" defeats the purpose of having sectors at all...

Implying that Stellaris sectors HAVE a positive purpose.
They're the aborted fetus of what could have been a good feature - ethcially directed migration leading to sector-based internal politics and the legitimate possibility of ideological civil war. This is why sectors have to be contiguous - it was in order to make those civil wars give vaguely sensible borders if the seperatists win.
This was all promised in the pre-1.0 dev diaries, but then when release time rolled around they decided it was too hard and just gave up, leaving us with the half-finished, no-purpose-other-than-a-millstone-round-the-players-neck system we still have today.

Maybe educate yourself about the game's development history before you sound off next time, kiddo.

I think my empire was at peace and happy for too long so they stopped being xenophobic and militant.

Right now only 10% are xenophobic, 12% militant while 50% are egalitarian and 28% are pacifists even though the empire started as a straight 33% split between Xenophobic/Militant/Egalitarians. 70 years of peace ruined my empire.

Not sure where the "Business Analysts' Foundation" came from, they want more rare resources and more energy stockpiled. They don't seem to be associated with any particular philosophy.

Internal Prosperity Organization are isolationists won want me to end every diplomatic treaty and stay at peace forever. Weird that there's only 2-3 of them considering there's about 20-30 pacifists in the empire.

For very small values of "Happening".

I lost several empire-wide slave revolts on 1.4 when I wasn't paying attention, but when the slaves take 30% of your worlds yet the resultant """""empire""""" is only one planet, the first one to fall, then the triviality of reconquest kinda takes the teeth out of the mechanic.

I really don't know what's best to be honest, but apparently somebody did the math and decided that spamming cruisers with medium plasma are the best in most situations.

However, Kinetics are the best overall damage dealers, particularly the large sized Kinetic artillery you can put a bunch of them on battleships.
Missiles and torpedoes do lots of damage too, but they are easy to counter and have overkill issues.

X sized weapons seem cool, but even giga cannons have a lower DPS than a pair of Kinetic artillery, the only advantage they have is 20 more range. Supposedly the X sized arc projector is good against the unbidden though.

I myself am partial to fighters and torpedoes, but IDK if I'm making a mistake sacrificing so many L and M slots for gimmicks.
>>

>>
>>173307176
Min-maxing is only really relevant if you're playing against other players or on high difficulties. I've done well just doing RP choices.
>>
>>173306860
After you have cruisers unlocked, you should only build corvettes for torpedo spam to clog up the enemy's point defense.

If enemy is using lots of corvettes, build lots of destroyers. Destroyers are extremely versatile and beefier than corvettes, they can build PD to screen out any missiles or torps, and their on-board computers favor tracking which is good for shooting down slippery corvettes with their high evasion. Tracking is more important than raw power, so you'll want small weapons batteries for dealing with corvettes. Missiles are ideal, but if they have heavy PD then just use kinetics (I like autocannons for anti corvet destroyers) or flak batteries if you have them. Lasers work too, but their armor penetration is kinda wasted against corvettes.

If enemy is favoring destroyers and cruisers, then you'll want medium and large weapons, which means you have to spam cruisers with plasma cannons. Nothing shreds armor like plasma, and that's the real threat on cruisers and destroyers. Their shields can be obliterated easily by just a few large kinetic weapons, most of your cruisers' arsenal should be medium plasma. Main reason for that is large kinetic weapons have very long range, so they can drop enemy shields before the melee even starts.

Against lots of battleships, it's just more of the same really. Big kinetic guns to pound through shields, lots of plasma to eat through armor.

Against strike craft, spam destroyers like against corvettes.

That's combat.
>>
>>173307346
Well I still like having powerful fleets.

by the way, what's the ideal fleet composition? Right now I do a 1:2 ratio of everything, IE, for every one battleship I have two cruisers, four destroyers, and eight corvettes.

Is this a good idea? Sometimes I wonder if I should simplify it. I understand corvettes mostly just exist to act as ablative shields for larger ships. But are destroyers necessary?
>>
So why can only xenophobes use slavery now?
>>
>>173307541
See >>173307497
You have to build responsive to what you're up against. Try to do recon on enemies and see if you can catch a glimpse of what their fleet composition is like. My go-to answer is destroyer spam, since destroyers can do pretty much everything and are pretty cheap.

There's pretty much no reason to have so many corvettes unless you need a lot of cheap torpedo boats. Or if the enemy has mostly large weapons I guess, since they won't be able to target all the corvettes.

Combat is completly opaque.
It's basically impossible to work out from first principles what will be best because the critical factor tends to be how a given build synchs up with the (broken/illogical) AI targeting priority system, not damage per second or shield / armour breakdown.
The only way you can actually work it out is by going into the console, spawning fleets, and doing scientific-method controlled experimentation.

And some nerd did exactly that and the answer is plasma cruisers with shield capacitors.

>>173308285
They're good against shields and not much else though. And with the way the combat AI works you can't be sure they're going to actually target the highest priority shield targets with those weapons. They might just fire on whatever is closest even if it doesn't have shields. With torpes and kinetics it doesn't really matter what the AI aims at.

If you actually had control of fleets and could micro the battle then I'd use a lot more specialized ship designs, but you're basically just throwing your fleet against their fleet. And if you want to be real then as long as your number is bigger than their number you'll win.

Relativistic tungsten rods could wipe out a planet with only 1 ton of mass
>>
>>173308684
Relativistic anything is an apocalypse. That's beside the point.
>>
>>173308684
At relativistic speeds it dosn't matter what they are made out of. Tungsten is only necessary for projectiles traveling at Newtonian velocities, in order to make sure they don't slow down too quickly or burn up when they hit an atmosphere.

However, it takes a lot of energy to accelerate an heavy object up to relativistic speeds. And Kinetic weapons can easily be countered with Whipple shields, even relativistic projectiles because they tend to explode the second they hit anything more substantial than a cloud of dust.

I think it's probably my least favorite part of the game. I don't know if it does a single thing right. There's almost no feedback either during the battle or after it, there's no player input during a battle except for the emergency retreat button, ship designing is tedious and underexplained, deathballs are the go-to strat, and positioning barely matters.

It sort of is like they designed it keeping in mind all of the worst attributes of any combat system ever made. I feel like they could pare it down to half of its current complexity and the whole game would be so much better.

>The Galactic Empire Insurance Company (GEICO /ˈɡaJkoʊ/) is a reptilian starship insurance company headquartered in Chevy Chase, Maryland. It is the second largest starship insurer in the galaxy, after State Hydropnic.[3] It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway that as of 3015 provided coverage for more than 22 million space vehicles owned by more than 14 million sentient beings. GEICO writes private passenger starship insurance in all 50 galactic sectors and the outer rim. GEICO sells its policies through local agents, called GEICO Star Representatives, and over the coms directly to the consumer, and through their hypernet website. Its mascot is a gold dust day gecko with a Cockney accent, voiced by English actor Jake Wood. GEICO is well known in popular culture for its advertising, having made a large number of commercials intended to entertain viewers.

You need egalitarian to go corporate dominion, which is vital when playing (((merchants))). Xenophile for more customers, maybe materialist for "muh gold".
Other trait should be cutthroat politics
>>
>>173309941
I was thinking pacifist because war means more insurance claims, but it could work either way. At any rate, pacifist is a pretty OP pick as long as you aren't interested in conquering. You can still fight wars just fine, and even liberate planets for later integration if you want.

At any rate, you should try to make as many friends as possible to represent good customer service.

It's not a pyrrhic victory if it wins you the war. Pyrrhic victory is when you've nominally won in some way (which in stellaris, is measured by warscore, not by who runs away), but are instead moving closer to losing. So if anything, I'd say it's the enemy who had the pyrrhic victory because, sure, he is currently ahead in warscore, but that doesn't matter when you took away their chance to retaliate.

Because in Wiz's imagination, authoritarian = despotism. And despotism has to be only one guy in command. Despite Crusader Kings 2 making it absolutely clear you CAN'T be a despot or your vassals will rebel and Europa Universalis 4 making it clear you only command your people because they let you do it.

Not every authoritarian empire is slave-driven, but many are. The game doesn't represent that well, granted, since authoritarian only gives slave bonuses, but blame Paradox, not the word.

>And despiste an Authoritarian-Egalitarian society being possible in real life, you can't have it Stellaris because "lol they are tottaly opposites - Wiz"
That was my whole point. Authoritarian vs Egalitarian does a better job of representing Slavery vs Emancipation than Collectivism and Individualism did, but it's still flawed because Authoritarian and Egalitarian aren't opposites.

I'm playing a Fanatic Purifier empire in Stellaris, and my default rights for aliens is "undesirables" which makes them get purged, and under "purge type" I have Forced Labor.
In the description it says they work to death, producing Food and Minerals.
Do they keep reproducing or does the tile become uninhabited after a while? Are they enslaved?
>>
>>173316086
What I mean is that Egalitarianism works better as a representation of "no slavery" than Individualism does. Individualism vs Collectivism are better in that they're true opposites, but worse in that they don't represent the "slavery vs no slavery" concept as well. Gameplay wise the only function Authoritarian/Egalitarian have is as a slavery slider anyways and the two words represent that well enough. I still think Paradox is retarded with how they went about it, but going back to Individualism/Collectivism makes even less sense.

Ideally though, slavery should just be made a civic choice or something, forcing Authoritarian empires to be slave empires is pretty ridiculous. Plus doing that would let us bring Collectivism and Individualism back without any downsides. Granted I think the idea of slavery in Stellaris' setting is pretty silly anyhow. I mean slavery stopped being efficient for humanity with the industrial revolution. Why would even more advanced societies use slaves when they can just build robots, who are both cheaper to maintain and more efficient?
>>
>>173316556
They're being purged, in this case by being worked to death under godawful conditions. No, they don't reproduce and eventually die off, albeit more slowly than via other methods of purging.
>>
>>173316086
I think Authoritarian is meant to refer to inherent authority between the groups of people itself, rather than just how much power the ruler has. A generally hierarchical society. This is probably why they now further differentiate between full on slavery, vs the caste system used in the Authoritarian ethic. Maybe "Hierarchical" would be a better name, but it does sound a bit weird as a pop-ethos.

So Authoritarian is about how there's just groups in society who are simply better than others, by law. These are people like the Samurai, they can just come by and test their new swords on you for, like, no reason. Whereas the Egalitarian is supposed to be about everyone being equal before the law, and your boss is not inherently just better than you. He can still fire you if you're being an asshole to him, but he doesn't just have more rights than you, he just has more property.
>>

You can make an egalitarian xenophobe empire but it just doesn't work in the long run.

There is absolutely no other game out there that allows for the breadth and width of Stellaris's content as a TOTAL PACKAGE. There are games with more fleshed out individual elements, but Stellaris combines them all, plus the more Grand Strategy elements that makes it fun.

Truthfully Paradox keep making good updates and DLC that fix a bunch of problems but also add a few new ones or mess things up that were fine before each time. In the end, I don't know if the game will get *better* with time, but that seems to be the formula with paradox games, plus hopefully once all the DLCs out you could get it bundled up and cheaper.

Or you could just pirate it and see for yourself. Also;

Whelp, after a quick read through the files, these are the faction categories, and each ethos is assigned one of these (normal and fanatic is the same). As far as i can tell there are no double ethos faction, unless they combine these categories which results in combining their names. i would appriciate if you could check if your factions are "pure" names, or combinations of the categories.

You can see what names can be generated for each faction category here: \common\random_names\00_pop_faction_names.txt

Is there a way to salvage this game?
Situation is as follows:
There is this huge militaristic blob closing down from the bottom right corner, in about 20 years from now they declared war on me and rolled me into nonexistance and this was the closest save I had, can't do nothing against plasmacruisers with double my fleetpower. There is another blob coming from the upper-right wing, they're just outside the vision currently, I hope they won't decide to expand at the same time as bottom guys.
3 blueish empires are federation, I have good standing with them and can join it no prob if I make my war laws more cucky, thing is there is this red empire who are everyone's rivals, they aren't too strong but aren't too weak either, I guess I can go over my navy limit for a while and overpower them to connect myself with the federation (it's hyperlanes only game), does that sound good enough? Our combined forces probably can stand a chance against military blob or at least make them not declare war in the first place. Can I count on my federation AI allies at all or will they just watch as I get rolled? Never had non-independent games before. Also won't they hate me for annihilating red guys?
I just don't know what to do and I don't want to spend half a day in early game again, I just wanted to build tall and get psionics, that's what I get for that.

You should probably build a colonial ship and colonize a planet as far away is you possibly can just to be safe.
Otherwise you could try donating money to the angry blob empire to better your relationship with them and maybe buy yourself some time. I'd say an alliance and a defensive pact is your chance. They do actually help you if they physically can (i.e not an empire with closed borders that prevents them from coming your way, but that was probably what you meant I guess).

Weird. You could describe any kind of fanatic, be it a religious bigot, a fedora tipper, or an anti-vaccine autist, it would be the same description : unability to accept things that contradicts their opinions.

Bumping this. I have no DLC so I can't play Utopia, only Banks.
>>
>>173333136
This is why we need "Open-Minded" and "Close-Minded" species traits. Same goes for a rework of government ethics so instead of "Authoritarian-Egalitarian" we have "Authoritarian-Libertarian" and "Hierarchical-Egalitarian".
>>
>>173331239
doesn't matter, paying customers won't get it fixed either, it's been in the game since launch
>>
>>173333136
Ya its almost like SJW'S are ideological fanatics or something.

I'm using one of the emblem from the Mon Emblem Pack and a background form another mod, probably the Big PixeL one. I have alot of other flag mods installed and they all work despite not being up to date.

Yes, and actual level of intelligence tends to be unrelated to those things.
Being intelligent and really fucking stupid have never been mutually exclusive
>>
>>173333260
Well, we already have politics like that, the "restrictive thinking" that lowers the science output but lower the ethic divergence.

Except that in Stellaris, being intelligent and being stupid are exclusives, so in gameplay, SJWs are retarded.

what you said can be applied to anyone who believes themselves to be in possession of the absolute truth

Did I ever imply that there aren't groups which behave similarly to how I described SJWs?

I'm looking for a recommendation:

I like the early exploration/settlement stage of Civ 5/6, where it's about discovering the map, establishing rapport with city states, and seeing who can get the best resources, and this is driven by your cities' availability to research and produce better units (or more units faster)

But by the late game I'm just bored, there's nothing new to explore, and it feels like the turns just drag on until someone made a little more tourism or a little more science and production than someone else.

What game should I play that's mostly based in exploration and settling?
>>
>>173333783
No, neither was I implying you implied that, just making a note
>>
>>173331761
The problem with SJW is that you can argue every ethic fits them.
Their love for minorities is clearly xenophile, but their hate of white and asian people will make them xenophobic.
You can say they are peaceful because all they do is scream and protest, except their last ones turned violent and how they will defend violent acts by minorities claiming it was the evil white majority
You can say they are equalitarian because that's what the scream about, but the methods are more close to authoritarian (but this one is on Paradox)
And you can make them spiritual because they are absolute zealots, but they also despise religion (as long as is not the muslim one of course, that will be like, totally racist or something) and proliferate in place of learning like universities.

I honestly can't say this is mostly the faults of how ethics work, or how the SJW are full double think

Why do the pops in my hive mind empire have ethics? Why aren't they part of the mind? It's a brand new start. Why do I have filthy pacifists within the hive mind?
