Despite the fact that this game is supposed to make you feel like your are pioneer trailblazing a new frontier, they still had to rely on the story being driven along by introducing other civilizations and eventually getting embroiled in their conflicts. Its not necessarily a bad thing, but I felt ME works better when the focus isn't on establishing the logistics that will eventually establish a galactic community, and more about the moment to moment struggle.

I don't know, maybe I am not articulating it well enough. My point however is that I felt like the game would have been improved if the story took place AFTER some of the arms already arrived and more colonies and outposts were settled. It makes the setting feel more lived in in an organic way then by saying that the entire nexus crew of an indeterminate population decided to fuck off somewhere a non-specific time ago and somehow managed to establish several colonies almost overnight. It feels forced just so that you don't have to constantly fight on kett ships or in remnant areas.

For anyone wondering, they both increased the speed you move between planets, and made it so you can skip. The button for it seems to be the Tab button, webm for reference as well.

Bad news is that the skip only works when moving between different planets, not different systems. They still sped that up a bit in general as well though.

It's an open world game and it's much longer.
I remember that everytime I played ME3 it took me about 25 hours doing all sidequests and such and without DLC.
