The biggest killer with Proto-Ultima I think is inattentiveness. I see a LOT of people not just get killed by the ol' pounding laser from above thing but they end up getting someone else killed via it too.

That fucking mechanic kills so many people which floors me, since it appears a reasonable amount of times in 24 main raid mechanics. Inattentiveness is really the only viable reason I can think of, because too many people expect 23 other people to do the hard work for them.

I'm sick of my current server [Malboro] and have decided to start looking for a new one to transfer to and I'd appreciate some advice on where to go.

I'm currently 9/10 Mythic Nighthold in WoW, so any server made up of mid-range to higher up progression static's/FC's would be great.

I'm also looking for literally ANY server with a cheaper market. Malboro's economy is likely the worst of the worst in terms of overpricing, stagnation, and pure lack of effort from the servers gatherers/crafters. Sick of that.

Shatter is a PvE mode with the ability to kill people in. Seize (Seal Rock) is the only good mode other than Feast. On Chaos, you usually get to watch Maelstrom explode then Flames will win. Adders on Primal usually wins all of its Shatter runs because Maelstrom and Flames will spend the entire fight focusing each other and letting Adders eat all the crystals. Seize is basically a matter of you getting one healer to make sure you never die, and then you go around killing everyone while occupying, then you get battle high and keep going.

Adders will win most Seal Rock and Shatter runs, simply because Maelstrom either focuses Flame, or feeds Adders

Frontline roulette will almost always land you in Shatter around reset, so you can get a good feel for it just from queuing for that. Feast is pretty active now because of the new season, so once you're kinda bored of Shatter or Seal Rock, queue up for it as a solo entrant and get a feel for that, too. Seal Rock gets more active later into the day, so if you queue up for it as soon as reset hits (6 minutes ago) you'll likely have quite a wait

Yes, the daily reset. The only real rule for PvP is that Accuracy is absolutely useless and you should swap out all Accuracy pieces when you're in there. Also don't ever wear a Diadem piece because that's an even more depressing situation. One Ilm Punch is incredibly good in PvP, and pop Sprint because it doesn't cost TP in PvP matches. MNK can be the most annoying of the melee DPS in PvP, and has really funny burst as well as AoE Pacification on Axe Kick

monk has really good sustained burst thanks to gl3, so you can just pop everything at the start going for the kill, and still have enough to do high damage after, just because healers won't have many cds left on their own^

A single expansion isn't going to do that. Well, in the interviews they did say that they were working on the new battle system for 7-6 months. I agree that we probably won't see much changes, and I'm confident that 2.5 GCD will still be here.
With that said, It's not really impossible to add some of mine ideas to the current combat system without drastically change it. Actually it would require more changes to monster AI behavior than players skills.
For instance, look at Gowrow in Sohm Al (Hard), most of his attacks are easily visible and can be avoided. A behavior like that on all monster would be perfect for a new combat system that focuses on controlling you mitigation and not just having 30% damage reduction for 10sec.
