The current best monster line-up is 3 blue, 2 justice, 2 priestess and some stunny monster like jowgen and Kycoo, then the spellbooks and big load of stun. You could just take out the stun monsters and some stun and slap in Northwemko and pre-prep. Temperance and Destroyer are only worthwhile in the mill build but since we're talking about a petdeck 1 temperance couldn't hurt I guess.

Northwemko is an antithesis to both Demise and Ruin so there isn't a 1 on 1 parallelism. That being said you could argue the shadow behind Ruin might actual be Garlandolf and not Demise but that's pure speculation.

I can tolerate purple butterfly, she was the worst of the lunalight archtype by virtue she wasn't quick effect on her 1000 ATK boost but Kaleido Chick made her a combo piece for r4nk degeneracy so she isn't exactly the worst and doesn't brick as bad as another bitch i am going to name.
I can tolerate Criimson Fox only negating targetting effects because saving Panther out of ARK or Castel is always nice, and that LP gain for both players isn't so bad, this deck is an OTK fest. Good as a 1-of and she's a level 4 so she's also not a bricky card.

But this rabbit?
This bitch only triggers of normal summoning, it should've been in both ways, normal and special and she doesn't count herself for her backrow removal effect (she counts pendulum lunas AT LEAST) and the only decent play she'd have without polymerization is summoning Centaurea, who is super situational and outclassed by the fact the archtype has a full-field, battle phase long armades thanksgiving effect, on top of Future Utopia being also easy to summon you don't even need the horse anymore.

And the worst part is that this bricky bitch is a necessary 2-of evil because its the only out to floodgates like ASF or Imperial Order or Lose 1 turn, it just makes me want to hate fuck her to death

Oh, and I just realized the reason links have no def is turning them into def mode would change where their link zones point which would probably break the mechanic.

My main issue when building a deck with her started to get more complicated after releaser and chain got banned.
I realized that her defensive effect was too hard to use, and it was better as a late game card where the opponent has wasted most, if not all, his/her resources.
The thing she needs is something more of a control or offensive power. If for some reason she got a support or a retrain, it need to be something that makes her more hard to destroy or make her leave the field; or something that allow her to overcome certain monsters (because 2700 is really easy to overcome this days) or maybe something that rewards you for using a certain amount of tributes.
At the end of the day, I accept an Equip Spell or something else as long it help improving the lack of offensive-control power or improve her defensive effects.

Hey guys, what do you feel is the fairest format pre-DRAGONS? Me and a couple of friends are going to be doing a tournament most likely and a lot of the people who are gonna participate don't really know how to play around Pendulums and a lot of other shit that came out after DRAGONS, but looking back at some other past formats there was some unbalanced trash from before then too, like Dinorabbit, Inzektors, Wind-Ups, Cyber Dragons, etc.

So far me and the other person who actually plays and follows the modern game are considering either TeleDAD or GOAT since those seem to be the most balanced, although TeleDAD would need some balance changes of course. Do you guys have any suggestions?

Lightsworns aren't exactly what anybody should call "garbage".

Their design of milling will get stronger in respect to floaters and they always get support once in a while.

They're more or less those decks which go dormant but then rise up when the time comes, they're the last few decks left aside from Monarchs which are now in their dormant phase.
