What are the essential mage spells I should be crafting and honing anyways? I wasn't around for a while, so I'm not privy to any of this stuff regarding mages and what the optimal set up is to using them and whatnot. Last I knew, you just used a Spellblade for elemental weaknesses.

XIII-2 is really enjoyable for her character and Noel and their interactions together really. It markedly gets worse as soon as other people are involved or the big bad plot stuff gets in the way.

Well, newish player reporting and I did my Last pull for a long time on phase 4, I'm not sure if the pull was good or not, all I Know is that now I have every relic for Onion Knight, plus I did a 100 gem pull and I got Genji Gloves, so.. Yay?

The banner is still pretty damn good for any newcomers to reroll on since if you get both Eiko and Beatrix you are set for a while since you only need Ramza/Roy and Rikku and you have a crappier version of team undying. And thankfully Beatrix has room to grow thanks to the fact that she has yet to receive her enhancements and still be this strong right out of the box. Heck if you get Eiko, Beatrix and Rusty you have a chainer, healer, and finisher all in one.

We mean wall as a literal term for stone skin ii or sentinel grimoire. Bubble is definitely nice, but only goes nicely when the enemy is broken down and you have wall/protect/shell to actually make sure your bubble stays up. Bubble is 30% of your hp, but the damage is calculated with your def/res. If you you take 3000 damage without wall and protect/shell, then bye bye bubble. If you take 300 damager with wall with pro/shell, then you can probably take several hits before it pops

Gladiolus can actually deal damage, and quite a substantial ammount, and lowers opponent's magical power.
The FFRK cards can only deal break damage and not as high as gladiolus even at 4*. But the FFRK cards have dispel and are support type while gladiolus is a warrior type card.

So basically if you have a knight or warrior type card that can draw earth element, gladiolus is without a doubt better.

The main problem with the FFRK cards is that they have no use outside of mp, but gladiolus can see use because it actually deals damage and has an additional effect that's useful in sp.

Oh, and you can cast gladiolus again the next turn while the FFRK cards have a cooldown.

I'm new to RK and need some pulling advice.

This week I've pulled Cid Raine's BSB, Orlandeau's OSB, Agrias's OSB and Eiko's BSB.

Is it worth it to pull again on this banner to try to get Agrias's holy imperil and Alphinaud's ATK/MAG buff? It seems like with those I could run a mixed holy team pretty well.

I could also wait until tomorrow and see if I can pull one of the Haste relics with ATK or MAG buffs and focus around that. It seems like Raines is the guy to build around though.

Waiting on Keeper's 3 for Stoneskin. What would you do, /ffg/?

III event will bring back the enigma dungeon that had his job motes drop. Those are needed for his sphere grid, so while you might not be immediately able to use him, it is a good idea to stock up on those. The other way to get that item is from the III mote boss, which is a random drop after defeating it.

They aren't totally necessary, they are for record sphere unlocking. You can't do his grid at all without unlocking each class with motes first.

Fortunately, his motes drop in the same event he mentioned, so you can get them soon.

Unfortunately, you still have to max the record spheres to unlock his 5* skill sets. So you might not have enough of the normal motes. He is still useable without it, but it's hard to renew his burst without access to lifesiphon or wrath.

It's honestly not that hard to get the motes, but the dungeon itself gives pretty good XP. So it's an excellent place to power grind any FFIII guys, including OK.

Start either at 4 or 6 and progress numerically (so 4->5 or 6->7) until you get to 8, which you skip, and either then go to 4 and 5 if you started at 6, or if once you palyed 4->7 you play 9, because it's the last big hurrah of the PSX era and you'll understand everything it kind of pays homage to once you've digested 4->7.

Now play Tactics.

At this point you pick if you wanna play X & X-2 or XII, both are kind of up to taste, though X is still closer to the previous era. XII is completely different, and XIII is completely different from that again.

Either play all of XIII, XIII-2 and LR or none of it really. Consider visiting the good remakes of 1 (Four Warriors of Light) and 3 before that.

8 is among the least impactful on the series and stands out in basically nothing, not even fucked up overcomplicated time travel plot anymore, thanks to XIII-2. It's about as skippable as 2.

And no I'm not saying skip the NES, but 3 and its remakes are better played after 5 at least and 1/Mystic Quest/various remakes are too. If I was gonna give an even more comprehensive list I'd recommend Crystal Chronicles and TA2.
