I think the Preachers were an attempt by Fromsoft to partially explain the Primordial Serpents and the Deep, although I feel like they didn't do a great job of it. The descriptions we get about them and our talkative feasting friend imply they're some sort of product of the Dark and in that sense share a kinship with humanity, but also represent a taxonomy which came from that Dark from a base form. The idea I'm going at here is that they might be "Primordial Locusts", aka the Dark reflecting a type of life as spawned from itself.

I think the majority of its damage comes from Faith.

It has next to nothing when it comes to Int scaling (basically it's not a Hex weapon), and since the Faith also supposedly affects its physical AR I wonder how much difference Strength actually makes.

So best build is actually just min requirements and pure Faith to 60, since you can then use a Yorshka's Chime with Dark Weapon - it won't provide as much damage as 40/40 Caitha's will, but it's still pretty respectable.

The biggest mistake casters make is assuming because they're pure Int/Fai that it makes the Dark spells unusable. In reality they tend to just lose 100 or so AR which is significant, but not trash.

You can basically throw it on a Str/Fai build that's using Lothric GS or Morne's Hammer and it fits like a glove, but if you were to "build for it" I question whether Strength would actually do much.

Also you can wear the Domino Mask to increase its damage, but it's questionable if that's a good idea since if you make a mistake and get hit by your curse, it's going to blow half your health bar off.

You want an easy time? Get stats for raw ass then stack health to 27 and endurance.

Once you reach end game maybe 80 or so you can respec if you for greater lightning and gnaw to kill bosses and maybe a heal for co-op

You want at the very least 27 vig (the health one), 20 endurance. At least 40 faith.

Then it just depends if you want to be more melee or ranged.

Every build should have 40 Endurance unless you're a pure caster.

Saint-Tree doesn't stack with Sage's, if you use Saint-Tree then Sage's does nothing. The former puts you at max casting speed anyways.

If someone sees you with Tears on, they'll just proc it, then roll into you with Kirk armor to chip that last bit of HP.

You have to go on the elevator near where the Gwyn and Pygmy statue is, jump down in the middle of it, from there you can go to one direction which lets you drop down on top of the statue and pick up the item, the other direction holds an illusory wall that's the way to Midir. Once you kill Midir, you get the covenant. Note: You have to beat Midir on the cliff first before fighting him there.

[ Before going to Catacombs, remember to get the Dark Tome off Yuria. Also recommended to do this as it gives you access to Londor Pale Shade set, which is good fashion for clerics ]

- Kill Wolnir and get his Sword, it's probably the best Faith weapon in terms of just being a reliable pick for all situations.
- Kill Creighton and get Dragonslayer Axe, you can buff this with Sunlight Blade or infuse it with Lightning (the WA buff overriddes weapon buffs so I prefer to just infuse it). It's basically lightning on a stick and it's really fantastic.

- This is a good time to kill Dancer, but you could do this any time before if you're ballsy enough. This gives you access to Lothric Divine Tome.
- You can now also farm the Lothric Greatsword off the knights there, though without item discovery it would be very tedious. This is a weapon with innate lightning that like the Dragonslayer Axe can be buffed and infused, so what you choose to do with it is up to you.
- Assuming you have the other tomes you can buy everything off Irina and then get Morne's Hammer
- [Optional] Get the Flail from the Painted World.

Since you're Str/Faith you probably don't want the lighting spear weapons from Archdragon Peak, so only thing left is to get the Crucifix, which unfortunately is right at the end of The Ringed City.

Only infuse the innately Lightning Weapons with lightning, it's not worth it otherwise.

Blessed is worthless offensively in every situation. If you want to do a Regen Build, the entire infusion is still outclassed by Anri's Straight Sword. It's basically only for offhands.

The rest you infuse to Heavy (seems to be better than Raw even on low-level characters, so if you're doing Str then it's a no-brainer) then buff with Sunlight Blade or Darkmoon Blade.

Exactly this. Coop used to be my favorite parts of souls game. Now it's either a 3 man team that stunlocks the boss to death or a 3 man team fighting what is essentially a raid boss with 3 quadrillion health.
It doesn't help that a lot of phantoms with me when I get summoned seem to look like they know what they are doing, and then the fight starts and they can't handle a one of the demons by themselves and then promptly die.
The few times I was summoned to just a lone host his internet died halfway into phase 2. Fuck this game and the people that play it.

Eh. It took me a while but by the time I did kill it i had 7 out of 10 estus to spare. Once you learn that you can run to it's tail during the fire breath for some hits there, then to its head for bigger hits when it does the tail swipe, there really isn't much else to learn beyond not fucking up for the whole hour and a half of the fight.
Gael meanwhile took me maybe 7 tries or so but when I did beat him it was by the skin of my teeth.

Lightning Bow is everything casters need and it is the literal last spell at the end of the last DLC in the last game.

- Good damage but not too high
- Good cast range but not insanely quick
- Not too expensive FP wise but not too spammable
- CAN BE HELD for as long as you want so you can time its release, meaning you can't just lmaoroll out of it upon seeing the startup, but it still has a projectile and a slight delay so it's not retarded like regular Greatbows.
- Since it can be held, it can also be cancelled at will, meaning less windows of vulnerability and less wasted FP overall.
- Low skill floor as you can just press and release, but can also be manually aimed to catch rolls so good players can get more mileage out of it.

It's perfection. It is fun and balanced. It is what spell casters should be and it is the last spell at the end of the last DLC in the last game. Thanks FROM.

Leave my pyromancer (F) as a miracle caster, can also repec her into sorc or pyro

Scrap cleric and make a knight (M) 40 str/whatever dex/15-30 faith for blessed weapon/dark blade/lightning blade buff. Mainly heavy weapons

I find quality with no spells to be kinda boring so it should help to have weapon buffs while still being able to use all the high str/dex weapons

I think the Londor+Angelic faith was trying to get Lothric to do the Lord of Hollows ending, and Lothric actually wanted to do the End of Fire ending, while Emma wanted him to link the fire.

Well they still don't stand up to lmao2ultra!! or MAGA Doors, but you have an option for offence that isn't hoping they'll roll into your Sunlight Spear.

The main pleasure is using Faith builds as a Spear because they can't see you casting Lightning through your wall of electrical particle effects, you can literally just Great Heal whilst they wail on you and win the trade, and you get enough Poise to use Yorshka's without interruption meaning you don't need Sunlight Talisman for stuff like Lightning Stake. Lifedrain Scythe also has the same benefits as you they can't just knock you out of it and it heals you back up, so you win the trade against any group.

And Screaming Spook Axe, whilst heavily reliant on a Dark Infusion, is fun to use and fulfills the need for huge explosions - and again, is amazing as a Spear because you can literally summon a curse and run into a group of people because they WILL take more damage than you.
