The Carribean Empire likes to have a civil war every other year so use that to raid Miami whenever the opportunity is there. Avoid the HCC, they'll push your shit in hard. New York and Philadelphia are also good areas to loot.

Yes, work 5 days a week. I can only really take the time to play in the weekends. Whenever I play during the week, it feels less than optimal, because I have to stop my campaign every evening, then get into the mood of continuing when I get home from work the next day. For some reason it feels wrong. I would rather just play and play till I'm done with the campaign. Even a weekend feel short for a full comfy campaign. The best time for playing is therefore holidays and vacations during which I have more than 3 days to play.

My plan here on out is to take the rest of France + Brittany by force, but also claim the throne of England and Poland when I can and take those too.

I don't know if I want to trigger the last HRE reform. Britain, whom I'm allied with, launched a war on France just before and holy hell it's funny to watch 57 HRE nations just zerg rush into enemy territory. I just declare war and stay out of the way. pic related.

Just thinking of the amount of work I'd have to if I triggered the last reform makes me tired (organize and/or disband 57 separate armies and navies, destroy redundant fortresses etc.). And also I'd have to command my own armies in a war like some sort of peasant. Seems more fun to just be able to declare war and watch the zerg rush, though they'd struggle with a war on England I guess. Maybe I'll keep it like this and activate the last reform at the end of the game for the achievement.

The US can outpace Britain if US is player controlled and Britain is AI. But in the hands of a player Britain is by far the most powerful nation. Certain things like The Great Game just aren't feasible as the US and the US also barely has any incentive/ability to do things like the Scramble for Africa. Also while the US are the masters of their continent, the British have significant possessions on basically every continent.

Also, the US are pretty much forced to go through the Civil War event chain which takes up a lot of time and cripples them temporarily. Whereas the British are never forced into such a thing.

Also, with player control, the British can even go so far as conquering land in Europe which basically leads to them absorbing another GP, causing a meteoric rise beyond every other GP into a superpower.

I have 2k+ hours in CK2 and I just discovered that you can directly claim any duchy in the game by doing this and if the pope hates the target

Which means, if you manage to possess the pope as a Satanist or have him join your cult, you will quite *literally* be able to freely claim any catholic duchy in the game at will due to the "obedient" modifier

Also that AAR was only possible because it was done without the expansions. A House Divided instated the requirement to justify a war before declaring it. It (or was it HoD?) also fixed the borderline exploit where uncivs were so weak that any random yuropoor could conquer China and use its 10 billion manpower to take over the world.

Basically if you're going for a one tag WC you have the wrong game. With the expansions I'm pretty sure it can't be done, there just isn't enough time to justify all the wars. But if it's possible for ANY nation, it would probably be Britain.

Speaking of Britain, I'm doing a Britain in exile where the government is exiled to Australia. What should I do with India? Release? Keep and use for cheap manpower then decide and turn into additional states for more industry?

Overall my goals are for a Pacific-Indian Ocean Empire, I already have Hawaii at this point and will probably try to get Alaska bought from the Russians. I have a handful of problems with Kaiserreich/Darkest Hour.

1. My tranports keep getting sunk, even when I believe my combat fleets are patrolling the sea in question and have it on lockdown. What kind of ships are best to put in my transport fleets as escorts? I imagine battleships and the like would be better for my combat fleets.
2. I have found that paratrooper missions only allow me to paradrop from one province I own to another. What do I need to pay attention to if I want to paradrop into foreign territory (for example, quickly paradrop on enemy VCs to take them out of the war before they know what hit 'em)?
