Just started playing Soul Hackers, does INT affect negotiations or am I just not supposed to be recruiting most demons? I have a Pixie and a Knocker but they gave me tutorials so I assume they were gimmes. They all just get tired of me talking to them or leave.
Also is there a way to see the full demon sprite or are you only allowed to look at the tiny sprites and portraits? There's a lot of really fun demons in this game from what I gather so it'd be disappointing if I couldn't.

Ah I figured, guess I'll just come back when I have better apps. I'm actually kind of glad it's not as easy as later games, being able to just recruit any demon right off the bat feels weird. Besides. In case nobody realized, in the actual II the implciation is that those punishments were threats for if you lost the fight. Not ones that would somehow happen if you win. Nocturne deciding after the fact to make hijiri turn out to be aleph was a shitty plot addition that was never mentioned again since it was realized how stupid it was. And even in nocturne, hijiri was implied to be a unique case. Its not like anyone who fights yhvh in any universe is implied to be fucked indefinitely. People challenge the ruling gods of their world all the time.

Giratina is merely a powerful otherworldly interference, no hints at rebellion against some all-mighty god are given, nor dominion over some fell legion.

Darkrai is a much better candidate for the chaos head honcho. It's the only pokemon that truly has been irredeemibly evil (in Mystery dungeon 2) (even Mewtwo was kinda misunderstood and eventually changed his ways due to power of friendship), instead of naturally expanding its dominion or defending against invaders.

So it would make more sense to have Cressellia's forces vs. Darkrai's, if you want to have a pokemon law or chaos faction.

Yeah, Lusamine was not entirely right in the head. More of a 'must create perfect being' (to the point of rejecting her own children when they let her down) thing than pure control, although those 2 desires aren't entirely separate. So, no that isn't really law, more like Yosuga.

As for law..., I can't really think of an example in the main series, but the closest I can think of is Dusknoir from mystery dungeon 2, who is a time-travelling agent of 'Primal Dialga'(corrupted by Darkrai), on a mission to stop another time-traveller from preventing Dialga's corruption . His clear devotion to his god and ignorance of relations with those who do not have the favour of his god is very law-like. But this is in a setting that is very different in tone from the main setting.
As I said, 'Law is good' is something that most often holds in the main setting, mostly since the pokemon setting is portayed as utopian and iddylic, so all who wish to upset the status quo must be 'evil'. In fact, it is the only kind of evil, since the world is so great.

There are parallels to other alignments though, Cyrus was Musubi or White, Darkrai in mystery dungeon was very much chaotic, Flare was Yosuga again, but most are neutral in the end, which isn't strange for a series that doesn't really focus much on alignments or factions of moral beliefs.

In Strange Journey, it stated that the Black Demonica suits were variants of the Investigation Team's Demonica suits built explicitly around for combat and fighting so they were better in that regards. But Arthur states hey also lacked the UN Team's ability to upgrade or use sub-apps.

I take the Great Will to be a more New Testament-ish (but not restricted to that, see Einstein's God or gnosticism) vision of the "supreme God".
This tends to be unpersonal (has no form, exists everywhere, etc). That's why it's easier to cast off YHWH as not-the-true-god, he's so personal in the Old Testament. Hence he's often said to be the Demiurge. The Great Will then would be the supreme being/reality above him. (I remember a Bible comic I read years ago had this interpretation, they had Old Testament God as an old man who is the bad guy and New Testament God as a separate thing).

Something that I was thinking of that was really interesting. It seems like the alignments in the series are always so extreme and intolerable for humans because they're obviously designed for the prosperity of demons instead. That got me thinking why in Nocturne, Chiaki and Isamu, to a lesser extent Hikawa, chose to follower those ideologies. I had the feeling that they were likely purposely swayed by demons to adapt more extreme views that would benefit demons.

So here's the scenario: Suppose each of them arrived in the new Tokyo, but instead of arriving as a human, they were given a magatama by Lucifer, and turned free to discover their own purpose like Demifiend was. How do you think their core beliefs would be different when they had the power to survive on their own?

In Persona 5, does Tae and Nozomi share the same VA? I ask because they both sound like fucking grandmas.
