Unless he can sit there and spam his Q on you (which is a huge waste, and really should only be done as a last resort "I'm losing this trade but I really need to win it" ability) his early lane is extremely weak. The only thing he can do is set up well for dives and ganks. If there is any sort of sustain on the other side, he isn't going to get anything done outside of farming, which is what he'd probably be doing anyways.

I usually go red/wolves/blue/gankgankgankgank but I end up falling behind on levels a bit too often. I get that zyonyas/abyssal are pretty much core no matter what, but I feel like between rylia's/liadries I have room for only one of those even though I want both, otherwise I get blown up in fights for not building enough resistances.

Soraka has amazing damage output very early on. She'll outdamage any poke mage support at early levels. I always rush in to get first blood as fast as possible (hard if they're not shitters) or at least bully them out of lane (almost always). As the game goes on you're constantly keeping an eye out on the map to make plays.

She has a super fast clear time, that should not be happenning. Zhonyas isn't core on elise, if you're playing elise right then you should be able to utilize your jump better than a zhonyas instead of using it as a gapcloser. Look up a guide or watch a pro play her, shes not hard to figure out.

Do you know how many minions spawn for a given lane at 30 minutes? It's 361. You can miss 61 CS and still be 10 cs/min. Undoubtedly you're not going to be getting every single CS in lane and you'll lose some whenever you're not in lane but it's not unfeasible to be 280 CS or so at 30 minutes and at 50 you should be at least at 400, which would still mean you missed out on 220 CS in your lane.

Learn to identify lanes that are pushing way ahead of time so you can be there to push back at the right time. Learn how to slow push and the best ways/times to fast push. Don't group mid and spam to engage a fight when your side lanes are being pushed in. Wave management is JUST as important to laners as objective management is for junglers. If you're not watching lanes and setting them to push while also securing most of the CS then you're fundamentally missing a part of your job.

Teamfighting isn't this stage of the game where you forget about lanes to have a deathmatch in mid. It's another part of the game where you need to weigh the pros and cons vs pushing/farming and very opportunity oriented.

If you're 300 CS at 50 minutes you effectively missed out on more than half the minions you had available to you. How is that remotely a good score?

Galio was reworked to be a comic superhero complete with the cheesy one-liners and puns. But honestly most of the champs in the game are filled with cringy quotes. Jinx being a prime example. There is depth to his character just every chooses to ignore it because they somehow miss the gloomy and binary old Galio.
