Not sure about the Pershing, but the Calliope used to be Op. Rockets seem to explode when shot now though, so it may not be as op as it was.

German T1 SPAA is Op... and the tanks are... ok-ish. They have a new Derp-gun that's fun to play.

Soviet T1 Light Tanks have good guns, but little armour or gun depression.

American T1 Tanks have... All the little Stewarts are kinda fun. America tends to find something it likes and then sticks with it.. so You'll see a lot of M2 chassis tanks.... followed by a lot of M4 chassis tanks.

Japanese early tanks.... are pretty horrible, but the Ho-Ni derp-gun is amazing and the armoured SPAA is fun.

British tanks... all but 2 or three suffer from terrible ammo till T5. Expect to use 4 shots where the other countries only need one. You learn to snipe drivers and gunners. Their T1 and T2 SPAA are quite good low-level tank hunters. Otherwise they're really good vehicles. Watch out for the Archer. Its main gun faces the rear of the vehicle.

General rules for low-tier play?
- You don't have any armour (unless you're in a T-26e premium and have realised how to angle it to bounce) try to read the terrain and use it to not get shot.
- Neither do your enemies.
- If their gunner is dead, it will take a while for them to shoot back.
-Research 'parts' and 'FPE' as soon as you can.
-You will learn to hate pilots. Mainly the ones who ram you with their planes.

I've always feared the Soviet 45's more than those. If you want a German tank gun that really scares me, the KwK 38 on the Sdkfz 140/1 is nasty. Probably the nastiest vehicle at it's Br spread when you use the Ap ammo, at least imho. Good for learning realistic mode too, because of its point-&-click mechanics. Also works as an SPAA, in a cinch. But it's a premium.

Basically what you want with tank is stick to mid range combat and try to avoid close range combat in smaller, close range comabt oriented maps (Poland, Eastern Europe, etc) It's pen is fairly decent for an american tank at that rank but the armor is non-existent and the turret traverse makes close range even worse.

For this, I recommend flanking, using speed to your advantage due to it's high speed. It's gun has great pen for that tier but it's armor is virtually non-existent just like the m10 but if you get hit at all you're going to be fucked. You can also outmaneuver other tanks with it's high speed as well making for some interesting strategies.

Basically a M10 with faster turret traverse and a 90MM gun. Use the same strategies as the M10 and remain cautious, while avoiding close range combat. I personally disliked the M36 due to it's less-than-optimal pen for that battlerating. Although if you park in a far off spot or flank the enemy you can pull off some good games.

Throw everything you knew about American TD's away because this thing is completely different. First off it's so slow and flanking is not an option at all for this tank because of it's poor speed. It's gun is the same as the t29's but you start off with AP. Decent pen for that rank and nothing can pen your front armor (except some if you get uptiered. Also your cupolas are a huge weakspot. (if a Tiger II hits one it's going to kill you.) Stick with covering up the cupolas with bushes and remain at a distance to help prevent death from the cupolas.
