They're not particularly difficult, although there is the odd spike in difficulty at some points looking at you, Three.
Some of the more interesting character development points are locked behind grinding each character to level 10. It's USUALLY worth it. A good example is Five. Her DLC is kind of shit but her memoirs are interesting.
