A library where you can find out about the game if you're new instead of all the 'hey do you know how to plant a tree?' dialogue. Also maximum comf and short stories.
Villagers have gardens.
Instead of Main Street there are shops in the town again and you can choose where to place them and what they look like.
Placing PWPs on the beach is possible.
There aren't such big areas you can't place PWPs/trees around pwps and you can place more PWPs

Villagers do more than wander around town all day, and actually interact in more ways with things and each other like in HHD.

I mentioned it before, but I'd love a city sim Animal Crossing, maybe you get notified you need to expand your town to house more people and convert it into a city or maybe you leave your position to manage an apartment building or become mayor of a city or something, but it'd be cool the different routes you could take your town as far as design goes.
It'd really take the series in a new direction too which would be nice. I think there's a lot you could do with it, you could go for a modern urban town or an old beautiful one with victorian buildings or a green one with lots of trees..

Well I don't know if anyone else has had this problem but it seems there are no RV cards for sale anywhere around where I live. Seriously it's been a month and even then Toys R Us was the only place that seemed to have them. So between what I already have I decided to go on Amazon and order four that I wanted. Everyday your villagers will ping you about various things. This means that when you're in front of them they'll do the surprised emote and walk over to you. If they're thinking about moving, they'll ping you to tell you, and you can ask them to stay or say see you. If you ask them to stay they'll stay. If your say see you and your friendship with them isn't at maximum they might reconsider and stay.

So you have to just try to get pings from your villagers everyday if you're worried about them moving out.

I don't really like Fantasy Life that much. Don't get me wrong- it certainly isn't bad but it feels like it lacks a lot of depth. It's motto is do what you want, but if you eventually want to get somewhere in the game, you're gonna be focusing on combat mostly.
It's overall just kind of shallow. Not bad though. If anything you should be worried about feeling underwhelmed, not overwhelmed.

Yes, this is due to the plaza tree's mechanics. There is information about it online, but basically, the growth cycle is:
>stage 1 (sapling) - first day
>stage 2 - 1 day and 1 hour
>stage 3 - 5 days and 5 hours
>stage 4 - 20 days and 20 hours
And it continues the pattern for 50, 100, 300, and 500 days, along with its corresponding hours. Sadly, if you haven't played for the amount of days needed, your tree won't grow to the next stage.
