Tone is superior at mid range, like she should be. Ion, Legion and Northstar are all better at long range and Scorch and Ronin are both better close range. The only part of her that was really OP was her Core because it instakilled Titans, which it doesn't do anymore. Even her map hack is balanced now that it can't be spammed.

The way I see it, since I'm either finishing off an engagement really quick with the EPG+pistol I don't really need the stim that many times to stay alive, but having the regen kick in faster lets me engage more targets more often.
For example in Stacks, I tried running power cell in stacks and found that the lack of quick regen fucked me over way too many times, and I don't want to have to pop stim after every kill to regen back up, which then leaves me open to not having stim when I really need it in the middle of a fight.

I ended up running quick regen on all my kits except the Cold War kits where I run power cell because I feel like extra ammo and speed loader are both necessary on the CW and neither is worth giving up for tactikill.

Any other TF2 fasteners waiting for the new Rocket League to start?

Going from 3 potential kills to 4 is massive, and if the first burst manages to not kill my target I just switch to my Hammond pistol and finish them off in 2 shots, easy peasy.

The thing is, sometimes you're going to face 3 or 4 enemies, and the difference between being able to shoot again or having to reload is night and day. Especially on a weapon with a reload that takes forever, the Cold War is not the Volt, the reload takes for fucking ever, might as well just kill yourself if you run out of ammo most situations.

I usually switch to pistol after the 3rd burst because for some reason they tend not to finish off people for me. I still like having a 4th burst at the ready at all times. I tried running the Cold War with just speedloader and it was painful. I don't have any webms of me using all 4 bursts to get 4 kills right now, but it has happened. Or getting 3 kills with one burst not being a one shot one kill scenario.

Sure they do. They do about half a bar of Titan Health, double up for a whole bar, easy to stick before a rodeo. They detonate on smoke contact too, so its a good plan to Rodeo with Low Profile, by the time you unplug the Titan will panic smoke and sit there, then you toss Satchels that auto-detonate. Satchels do about 75-80% of doomed Titan health too, and are a very efficient finisher if you're on foot.

they can't enforce file purity, otherwise they would not be able to continue making server-sided updates. this is a limitation with Source and how Source servers do their filechecking with only one filelist in mind; they COULD of course try to rework that, but an overhaul like that sounds like way more work than it would be worth, especially considering that it's respawn.
similarly, i don't see them changing encryption of the vpks or anything like that because that would be too much of a large-scale change, and honestly even if they did, it could probably be pushed through again given enough time.
there are probably highly technical internal reasons why the files themselves are set up as they are now, with only some stuff in VPKs and some stuff in RPAKs, only some stuff client-side and some stuff server-side, and i don't think it's unreasonable to assume that they have things set up as they are because they can't set it up otherwise without great inconvenience.

I used the archer plenty before the buff. If there was anything I wanted it was a quicker lock-on time.
The point of it is to deal huge damage after having to lock on and consider travel time, but after the buff the disadvantages are pretty negligible. Right now it's already starting to replace the MGL
When you've got more than one pilot locking on to you it's hard to deal with unless you've got a smoke charge ready. and even that's just stalling

Honestly I don't think archer is OP in its current form, and I main northstar. The only problem is how many of them there are in any given game because they nerfed MGL and buffed archer simultaneously. If they say in the patch that they buffed thunderbolt, all the kiddies will hop on that bandwagon instead.

You can add any non-Steam game to the Steam UI, but the game itself will never be offered on Steam. When it comes to EA, it's Origin or bust. That said, Origin has supposedly gotten a lot better compared to years ago, and TF2 is the only game that has ever compelled me to tolerate Origin, it's that good.
