Not at all. I play ana and shoot her down myself unless she has a pocket mercy. In which case I scream at the other hit scan until they help. I play a pretty aggressive ana though. I usually end up doing slightly more damage than healing.

Nah me and a friend calibrated low silver. We carried ourselves out all they way to play almost in one streak with one of us being rhein and the other him junk or me reaper. Once we got to plat we stalled for awile I ended up becoming a mcree main and him a roadhog main were we rested in high diamond we me even getting into master. Moral of the story thats the skill level were you can take any decent hero and climb for quite awile.

ELO hell is a mindset, not a SR bracket. This is why you see plenty of people across all tiers complaining about ELO hell and plenty of people across all tiers saying it doesn't exist.

If you say ELO hell is where a player that should be significantly higher is being held back by their team-mates, then the law of averages will tell you that this is wrong. 5 shitters + a good player will on average win out over 6 shitters. Don't bother bringing up streaks because again on average you will have win streaks about as often as you have loss streaks.

My theory about people trapped in ELO hell is that since they are convinced their team-mates are worse than them, they try to make hero plays and "one man army" their way to victory. Unless you are a widow/tracer GOD you can't do this, and this mentality shows a fundamental misunderstanding about how to play the game.

Distribute your bubbles based on need, not want.
A soldier walking around a corner into the enemy team __wants__ a bubble. That same soldier after being hooked by roadhog __needs__ a bubble. Both will give you 40 NRG, but the former might cost you a team-mate.

M1 for lone targets or targets that NEED to die quick. M2 for groups of enemies, far away enemies, and for when you have <25 ammo left for that extra dmg.

My reasoning is that ana's kit is game changing when used right. A well placed nade instantly wins a team-fight. A well placed sleep can completely shut down an offensive ult. Nano-boost can turn a mildly annoying wholehog into a massacre.

Lucio on the other hand can't really swing the tide of a fight by amping heals/speed at the right time. Speed is one of the best abilities in a well coordinated team but good luck finding that in the <3k range you asked about. All lucio really has is his boops which are less than stellar on maps without env kilss.

I think Mercy is criminally under-rated in terms of impact. How demoralizing is it to finally finish off what you think is the last of the enemy team only for them to be res'd and stomp you. Mercy is easy to play poorly though and a wasted res can end up just feeding the enemy team. A perfect mercy can take enemy DPS focus without dying, uses res effectively and often, and will dmg boost at key moments.

Sym is mercy-lite in regards to her teleporter. In a team-fight if she can dive the enemy backline at the right time she can melt an entire team (and get a free TP from it)

Zenyatta does dmg and some healing, but you cant force your team to focus discord targets. Transcendence is nice.

The problem with your logic as it pertains to Mercy is that you needed to qualify it as "A perfect Mercy".

A perfect Mercy CAN do all those things, much like a perfect Rein will ALWAYS Earthshatter at a moment when it guarantees a cap, or a Genji will ALWAYS Dragonblade at a time when it maximizes his team's advantage.

The problem is that the game isn't, and shouldn't be, based on "perfect". And in an imperfect environment, I'd wager that at least 85% of comp players would prefer an Ana to a Mercy because in that imperfect environment, Ana offers way, WAY more than Mercy does.

Sometimes its not about killing their idiots, its about keeping your idiots alive long enough to let them kill their idiots.

Mercy doesn't impact the game the same way that zen does. Zen makes mirror fights unfair. Mercy provides sustain. Its hard to compare them, which is why I chose the difference in their ults.

Zen can save a team from being wiped, but can be countered with LOS/anti-heal/CC

Mercy can turn a 5v5 into a 6v5, and I can't think of a way to counter it other than pure focus fire and ensuring she dies first. Then again, zen's ult can more/less be countered in the same way.

Orissa is basically okay. She feels like a mix of the other tanks (gun feels like dva cannons+mercy pistol, ult feels like sound barrier+nanoboost, m2 feels like smaller zarya ult, e feels like reinhardt+winston). She seems strong but not OP. Just decent.

I persuades my cousin into buying Overwatch. He really seems to be into it. He asks me for advices and texts me everytime something cool happens during one of his matches.

The problem: whenever we play together, we inevitably lose. Like every single fucking match. We do well by ourselves, but can't win a match together. I'm ~2600 while he is ~1800.

He told me if I didn't know any strategies we can pull off to increase our chances, but I could only come with the usual Mei/Rein/Zarya + Soldier/Pharah/Bastion/etc.

up to 3000 SR, it's completely random if you're going up or down. One match people are communicating and switching heroes to counter-pick, next match you got two people throwing right out of the gate because they started arguing over something trivial before the match even started.

There are no tickets out of it except LUCK.The moment I crawled up to 3200ish is also when I made my way up to 3895 which is my current rating. If I had been just a tad bit more unlucky and run into more throwers or whatever, I would still be be under 3k.

Also, Ana's "nerf" is nothing. Her rifle damage was the most inconsequential thing. The Biotic Grenade with its 4-in-1 Heal/Damage/Heal Boost/Heal Block bullshit is what is Ana's biggest problem, and they had the right idea starting with lowering the instant damage and instant heal. But then Ana mains everywhere threw a shitstorm over not being able to 1v1 the rest of the cast and Blizzard immediately reverted them and made their "Daaaaah we no like make big changes at once!" lie, which they have now completely shattered with Lucio's changes.
