It still keeps him from getting doubled by the respective color, but it's still probably not worthwhile since he one shots red tomes, and Gronneblade or Triangle Adept Cecilia blow him up in one hit. Arguably useful for blues, but only with some major res support and as RobinF is the only one with that right now it's not worth wasting just yet in case someone else needs it.

You know what confuses me? Why people invest in characters like Sharena, Anna, Ursula, FRobin, etc when they can't even get merges. Granted only whales can +10 but if we keep getting orbs eventually you'll have your chance to + your mains right? Where's the fairness for the GHB/story characters? No matter what you do you're stuck at a lower ceiling than 90% of the cast.

Have they even confirmed whether or not you can roll those heroes later down the line? Or is it just a case of "Well these are free and special so they will never ever come back again and are just novelty."

You can slap Wary Fighter on him now to avoid getting him doubled, or switch out his sword for a lighter one to bring him to a respectable speed compared to other armors. Also that 4 armor challenge is getting people to figure out how to make the most of whatever armors they've got and now everyone at least has one of him to work with to figure out shit thanks to that mission that gave one away.

Chrom A+ makes sense though. Brave sword + death blow chrom can oneshot lucina unscratched. While lucina with similar setup can't oneshot chrom without taking damage.

He is alright, he functions mostly as a slow moving oh shit button. It's easy on some maps for him to get left behind but on others it's tough to avoid him.

If the rest of your team is that dangerous then yeah I could see it working real well, you're forcing the enemy to keep their Hector counter at full health through your first wave of 3 units attacking.
