My +Atk Reinhardt with an attack buff does manage to one-shot Effie through Wary Fighter though. And I'm planning on giving him Death Blow so he can do it solo without any buffs too.

One of the biggest contrasts between FE6 and FE7 is how strong Pent is versus how strong Cecilia isn't.

Pent is someone you first see in what you think would be an escort mission, except for the fact that he's stronger than everyone except the bosses on the map (if even those), making it so you're charging in as fast as possible to prevent him from stealing as many kills as you can. And then when you acquire him he's the best mage in the game overall (crushes Erk and Nino even when they're fully invested in)

So you play FE6, and his status of Mage General of Eturia in the interm between the end of FE7 and the start of FE6 was taken away/dropped and given to one of the shittiest mages to live on the continent. The first time you see her is when she gets completely fucking destroyed in battle by Zephiel and taken prisoner. Yes, it's understandable because it's the main villain of the game, but it just puts you in the mindset of "she needs your help" rather than "he doesn't need your help". And then when you rescue her she's only barely more functional than Sophia, and that only because she's a staffbot on a horse.
