The first time I heard Kass playing I looked around and didn't see anyone, it was high in the mountains of Faron and there was a small sunny green grass patch with flowers and I thought it was just music unique to that very small area for some reason. Felt pretty atmospheric.

Pretty sure it was right by the blood moon shrine, which I've since opened.

What full moon thing?

>>171288575
>mindlessly
No, my hate for it is pretty thought-out actually and not based on the initial wave of hate for it, either. I didn't actually play it until the HD remaster and was appalled with how awful it is, and this was going in hoping it would be good because I had heard a positive review of it from someone that normally did not like Zelda (which I guess should have been a tip-off, since I normally like Zelda) and who compared it to Assassin's Creed 4 for the open-world sailing aspect (which I enjoyed in that game because it was actually done right).

The music and sound direction marked a sharp decline in that regard which, to be fair, has persisted through subsequent titles, so that's not unique to WW. While some facets of it were nice, the artstyle really isn't for me, but that's a small thing since the graphics aren't bad in a way that impedes gameplay. The dungeons are par for the course for the series, but shorter and with generally much easier puzzles. Even combat is easier, when combat was never the focus and was always easy to begin with. Even with the magic sail that I know wasn't in the original release the vast majority of your time is spent sailing, doing literally fucking nothing but listening to one of the worst tracks in the game (oh right, and running over rupee barrels for five rupees at a time, which is great because you're gonna need a lot of fucking rupees, since it is literally Worthless Padding: the Zelda). Outside of Medli there was also a phenomenal lack of any likeable characters.

I can say a few nice things about it but apart from "it's still basically a playable Zelda game" the good things about it are like BotW's flaws, insignificant. It's satisfying to cut grass, faces are very expressive, it's neat that you can pick up enemies' weapons.

You're right though, I forgot PH which is even worse and which I have played (though not to completion).
>>
>>171289248
What us the sword in the middle?
>>
>>171289378
Artstyle is a matter of taste and I wouldn't slam you for it, though I really like it. Dungeon design could be better, true, but I like the new things added with items such as Deku Leaf and the songs. Combat is fine, in my opinion, but they could have nerfed parry/press A to win; I personally love the Darknut fights in WW. Great Sea isn't mindless and the one island per square works in the game's restrictions (considering this is originally a GC game). I like the shift in sound, I think it works on the ambience and atmosphere of WW, but I can understand why someone might dislike it, especially if the world building didn't satisfy.

I respect you for raising up your objections in an orderly fashion, even if I mostly disagree with it. GG anon, but how dare you say Makar is unlikeable

He's just completely bland and unmemorable.

What I can tell you about Medli:
She's a member of an avian humanoid race that has not yet gained the ability to fly freely, who has been training to be a priestess to speak to and convey the will of her people's god, a dragon atop a volcano. This god recently has become irate, however, causing complications for her. She is extremely determined to be helpful and polite and to solve rather than cause problems to the point that she will immediately forgive you for slamming her head into a wall repeatedly when you're supposed to be helping her reach a distant ledge. She also plays a harp.

What I can tell you about Makar:
He disobeys the deku tree and gets fucked up as a result. He's a bit of a crybaby. He plays a cello made out of a leaf.

>>
>>171290298
Do the tarrey town quest. After they go there for the wedding don't talk to them in tarrey town.

Tarrey town is on a plateau in akkala, with a natural bridge leading to it from the surrounding area.
>>
>>171290247
You can break down any character to their most defining moments in the game to serve a narrative faggot
>plays the harp and prays to a dragon for her people. Also cant fly properly yet.
>>
>>171290247
Makar plays the harmony for the traditional song koroks use to get Deku Tree seeds and spread them through the corners of the Great Sea. His skill on his playing is crucial on getting the seeds and fulfilling the role his whole species plays. It's implied they NEED to do this to increase forested areas and get nutrients; basically to be able to survive. The pressure of being responsible for everyone makes him lash out at the Deku Tree and put everyone in peril. He knows what he did is wrong and does his best to fix his mistakes when he gets chewed out by his people and tries to keep his optimism even though the responsabilities keep piling on his little wood lap. He's adorable and his child-like innocence is very reminicent of the kokiri of old. Also, he kills on that fucking cello.

You're right about Medli though, she's awesome

Dude if you have the master sword just run to to them, maybe stasis, and go for the legs and face afterwards, it's the easiest shit ever
>>
>>171293461
See >>171293510
and also you get a lot more than you do from dead guardians, and you need an assload of materials if you want ancient gear (which is absurdly good). Also the easiest way to kill them, and one of the quickest, is to just parry the laser. Get close to them, raise your shield, wait for their eye to flash blue as the laser comes out and hit A (while still blocking), it three-shots walking guardians and one-shots the ones that have no legs.
>>
>>171293496
>>171293612

Completely untrue.

Go find any respawning weapon on the night of the blood moon. Grab it before midnight and as soon as the cutscene triggers, you can grab it again.

Someone has probably already done this, but I couldn't find anything like this online so I compiled a short guide/list for cooking in BOTW which gives the exact effects of all cooking ingredients as well as a short explanation of how cooking works. It doesn't include elixirs, but I hope it helps someone.

Robbie's gear is great though. It's really strong and rupees become plentiful eventually. Ancient Shield auto parries Guardian Beams. Ancient Bow has low dropoff and high damage. The weapons themselves are very strong and less fragile than Guardian Weapons found from dead scouts. The Chainsaw can cut a Guardian's leg off in one hit. Same for the sword.

You're talking to a guy who unlocked the Great Fairy who costs 10k Rupees and still had 6k leftover. Rupees are easy. I'm glad Robbie exists as a place to funnel my cash.

The max defence of the set is 84, which apart from the champion's tunic having even higher defence than the chestpiece ties it for the best defence. The bonus for each individual piece reduces damage taken from guardians, so their lasers no longer oneshot you, which isn't a huge deal.

The weapons have very high attack, close to the base value of lynel weapons (the strongest weapons in the game) but with way better durability than those, and the bow has very high range (I think it's the highest of any non-amiibo bow that isn't the one you get briefly in one of the boss fights) without the zoom-in effect. More importantly, the weapons and also all guardian weapons gain 80% damage if you have the full armour set upgraded at least twice. There's another armour set, barbarian, that has 60 max defence and boosts ALL damage by 50%; However, it doesn't stack with attack up food, while ancient armour does. With that 80% boost, outside of a few peculiar examples from crazy enchantments like 100-damage lynel shortswords that are possible (but very rare regardless) and multishot bows which have less range but are way stronger than any single shot bow including ancient, the weapons are the best in the game.

What's more, the weapons gain a 50% boost to guardian-type enemies that stacks with the aforementioned boosts (guardian weapons from tests of strength and other shrine guardians have a 30% boost instead). This means, for instance, that while with a triple attack buff the master sword does 90 damage to a guardian, the ancient shortsword does the same just from that 50% bonus damage and with the full set does 162 (more than the best lynel sword). On normal enemies you can expect 108 with the guardian++ or ancient shortsword, which is still fantastic and you can reliably buy more of them.

Also with the shield you don't have to parry to reflect the lasers directly back at the guardians. Other strong shields can deflect them in random directions.

I have both sets and usually use barbarian's for the crazy tribesman look and also that reason plus to use lynel weapons, I'm just explaining what makes the ancient set so good. Even without any attack buff the ancient weapons with ancient armour are extremely powerful, anyway.

>>171296230
Almost all of them. Rubber looks really cool and makes you immune to electricity (not sure if this applies to lightning strikes, haven't tried it for that, but yellow lizalfos fields for instance do nothing to you), barbarian is a 50% total attack boost and halves the stamina usage of power attacks so you can spin2win for twice as long plus it's a universally applicable attack boost that you can also use haste or sneak or whatever with like >>171296138 said. Stealth armour notably makes you as quiet as when crouching when running normally and nearly silent when crouching, and can also stack with haste (and has one inherent level of haste at night), which is really nice for photography, catching horses, getting sneakstrikes and generally fucking around- It also makes you quiet while climbing and swimming. Soldier's armour has the same defence as ancient, though no piece or set bonuses, and looks very /fa/ (same applies to the hylian set though it has lower defence). Rito set lets you tangle with ice based enemies at close range without being frozen, and climb ice taluses without hitting them with fire first. Climbing and zora sets together make getting around the world super easy. The list goes on honestly, they're mostly pretty good.

It's a little confusing at first but once you figure it out it's really easy.

So start with the symbol all the way on the left. Got it memorized? Good, now look at the giant board of constellations off in the distance. How many times do you see that specific constellation repeated? The correct answer is 5. Put the ball where the five blue glowing things are near the ball holes. Repeat for each constellation.

From testing on a decayed guardian, them seem mostly the same. The regular jump attack will often only hit either the slash or the shockwave against it, while the paraglide stab will stab into it hitting both hits. The stab is a bit easier to aim too.

The jump attacks seem kind of pointless though, as they deal the same damage as a regular slash, and so does the shockwave it produces. At best its worth 2 slashes. Using them from up high like with Revali's Gale only increases the range of the shockwave, but still deals the same damage.

So I finally beat the game (main quests) and here's my thoughts. As a first time Zelda player I'd say it's a nice intro to the series but I feel no compulsion to go and play all the old ones. I am more likely to purchase future titles so I suppose they've gained themselves a new fan.

What I liked:
>the game is hard but not impossible. it truly is a case of get good and the whole game can be your bitch whether you're fresh off the plateau or levelled to the max
>planning is rewarded but daring still has merit. So you can play the game how you like
>I like the Gerudo and this title did a better job on them thn the title in which they were introduced
>the puzzles are as taxing as the combat
>the story is pretty good for a Zelda game
>I want to explore every inch to see everything they've hidden even it's just some nice scenery

What I didn't like:
>Ganon is too easy. I fell more times to Guardians and Lynels on my way to Ganon more than I did facing him
>other races didn't get the same depth as the Gerudo. Fetching arrows doesn't match the Yiga
>frame rate. villages I can accept but this Moblin thing needs to be fixed ASAP
>not enough Hylian waifus. Past Zelda games had Zelda and at least one other girl but no other Hylians shone in this game

Overall a good game complaints aren't that bad I reckon it deserves 9s but 10s are probably tinged with nostalgia and name brand recognition

>>171313198
There's a lot of complaints about Ganon being too easy, but as someone who tried to fight (and got obliterated by) Ganon early-game I felt it was pretty cathartic to just nuke him with an orbital laser like that.

It would have been nice if the champions/divine beasts helped out a little more on the way to Ganon though.

The game could use 2 more dungeons after the divine beasts, like actual dungeons since the beasts were pretty short. Maybe 3, to force the player to go to other map regions they could easily avoid otherwise, like the southern jungle or the tundra.

Sure, the shrines were like a lot of mini-dungeons, but they all shared the same ambiance and aesthetic, and sparse enemies. A couple real dungeons would have been nice.

So by counting the framerate as something the game is at fault for, you're suggesting they nerf the graphics to stabilize fps? The designers are limited by the hardware. I'm surprised you think a person needs nostalgia to give it a 10 with those extremely minor complaints.

My point is for someone who hasn't played Zelda and had no interest to this game made me buy, play and finish a Zelda title. I even mention how I don't want to play the old games. Not to say you're not allowed to have that opinion or something but apart from the first game ganon's fight has always felt more like a reward for getting there than like a final, ultimate challenge, so I think this is working as designed. He was a pain in the dick in the original though.

>not enough Hylian waifus. Past Zelda games had Zelda and at least one other girl but no other Hylians shone in this game
Cus instead of Malon there's a cute girl that wants your dick in every ranch, none of them is a special character of their own but there's actually more of them :^)

Hylians have more square or almond-shaped, lighter coloured eyes, lighter skin and darker or blonde hair, while sheikah have slightly darker-cast skin (usually, there's black hylians and no black sheikah though), white hair and dark round or squinty eyes. >Control is awkward. I replayed it last year and it feels clunky. You can't even target and shoot. You have to aim and shoot.
>The Sky is empty. Wind Waker had more in its ocean, way more.
>Only one town. In the sky of all places, there's one town and a few scarce points of interest. And you don't need to go to them.
>The WORST companion to date. Fi actually interrupted the gameplay, many times over. Navi is annoying? Not even once, and I'm not trolling, nor blinded by nostalgia.
>Any potential breaks from the formula (Story/character-wise)was ruined by hamstringing the three Triforce wielders into those roles permanently. No neutral Ganondorf or abrasive Zelda.
>Very little to explore or any reason to do so. The dowsing mechanic is counterproductive to finding things on your own.
>Combat is a glorified puzzle game.

>>
I've gotten basically 100% completion at this point, only missing koroks, and this is my review of the whole game. Note that some things will be listed as pros and cons because I liked and disliked certain aspects of them.

>Pros
The world is huge, but you never feel like there's nothing to do or that it is barren. There are a few areas where content is a little sparse, but even then the actual set pieces in the area still make them feel unique and interesting. I never felt like Hyrule field was too barren, despite there being very little to do in the center. The entire game is filled with little things to find, including callbacks to older games (ranch ruins, etc.). The ability to climb practically anything and approach locations from any direction really makes the world feel more alive, and I don't think I'll ever be able to play another open world game again without complaining about the lack of exploration options
>Story
Despite being set 100 years before the actual game, the story between Link, the King, Zelda and the champions is actually really interesting, and I love it. It's funny how the game where Link has amnesia is the one where we learn pretty much the most of his life before the game compared to other games. Every main character feels important, like they have an actual place in the world with real emotions and thoughts. They aren't all just there to aim Link's story (Except the champions), and the more you learn about each character the more you'll come to like them.
>Combat
The variety present in the combat is astounding to me. You can tackle every single enemy encounter a different way than the last. The different weapon styles, and the varying ways you can USE those weapons, allow for a system that never gets old. I'm over 150 hours in and STILL finding ways to enjoy what should be monotonous enemy camps. The cooking system is fun and only overpowered if you abuse it. The durabiltiy system has grown on me, and I really do like the variety. cont.
>>
>>171316014
This has always been the case. They literally just make up whatever they want and throw in recurring elements/references because it seems cool and nostalgia factor. Hyrule Historia timeline exists only to try and stop the flood of autistic emails they got about it.

The world is full of stuff but the main quests had dips and spikes in quality at least in the order I played them. Gerudo was the best, Zora was fine, Rito was appalling and Goron was barely better. There's no reason they couldn't all have been as long and detailed as the Gerudo one

As another anon mentioned the Champions may not be developed but they're far more fleshed out as characters than the the new generation especially Teba and Yunobo

>NPCs and other interactions
The in-game story elements and characters are all very likable and fun. There are a ton of little interactions that just make every gameplay session unique and delightful. I remember stumbling upon my first disguised Yiga and practically shitting myself from laughter. I loved the side quest where you have to basically catfish a man outside of the gerudo town into giving you his shoes, and a million other little things like this are sprinkled all over the game. They are always a treat to find, especially the ones that are further off the beaten path, as those really start to feel like rewards for exploring. That dark forest is one of my favorite puzzles ever, just for the ambiance and out of the way nature of the quest.

>Shrines and puzzles in general
I love these so much. The puzzles are feel really good to solve, and since this game gives you all the tools right from the start, each puzzle is made to be solved a variety of ways. I've seen people ask how to solve certain puzzles, only to receive 3 different answers, some of which I had never even considered. Also, even the act of getting INTO some of these shrines is a puzzle, whether it be a minor one like getting past some vines, or a major one like the forgotten temple. Splitting the dungeon content up into these digestible chunks was one of the best decisions for this game.

>Cons
>Story
While I love what story we got, I feel like a LOT of story is missing. I think that for Zelda's story there should have been another 2 memories, bringing the total up to 20. Then from there, we should have gotten ANOTHER 10 or so memories for each of the champions, in order to really flesh out their characters. Daruk is in pretty much one cutscene, but Zelda's diary implies that there was a lot of potential for his character. I really wish there had been more story elements such as this.
cont.
>>
>>171316904
>Doesn't Navi quantifiably nag you far more frequently than Fi?
You don't have to reply to her. You can ignore her. Fi on the other hand actually stops you momentarily to tell you what you literally just did moments before she pops out the Master Sword in front of you. And she does so a LOT.
>>
>>171316904
>Doesn't Navi quantifiably nag you far more frequently than Fi?
No. The meme of Navi being annoying comes mainly from her voice clips being grating. She honestly barely interrupts you throughout the course of the game at all unless you specifically call on her to tell you something.
Fi on the other hand is constantly interrupting the gameplay to either tell the player things they should be figuring out on their own, or reiterating something the player was just told by another character (and sometimes even by Fi herself).
>>
>>171312794
I used both balls, they were visible, then when I watched people using tricks that looked neat
>>
Man, I just took down my first silver lynell.

>>
>>171317195

So basically Nintendo hardware is too weak for Nintendo's gaming vision. I feel like that's an additional problem rather than an excuse

>>171317369

Memories were sometimes rather hard to get but they were worth it and I wouldn't say no to more

I think expectations of what the DLC will deliver will become as inflated as the hopes people had for the actual game and I expect Nintendo is going to be just as tight lipped
>>
>>171316368
>>171317369
>In-game story
The in game story feels really bland. The only divine beast that actually seems to pose much of any threat at all is Vah Ruta, who is on the verge of destroying zora's domain and the surrounding hylian settlements. Rudania is more or less causing an inconvenience, Nabooris is causing a thunderstorm in an area of the desert that nobody cares about, and Medoh is doing literally nothing. There is no urgency to those plots whatsoever, outside of Link's own desire to sooth them for the final fight. The lead up to the dungeons is also a little lacking. The gerudo one is good, having you first get the outfit to go into town, then retrieving the helm, but the rest are pretty bland. There should have been a lot more effort put into the pre-dungeon elements. Also, the game does a bad job in some cases of making your actions feel impactful. In the zora's domain, beating the dungeon causes the rain to stop and make the entire region more explorable, as well as causing all the elder zoras to change their opinions about Link. Beating the Gerudo dungeon causes a sandstorm way in the distance to go away, and that's it. You don't even get special privileges to be able to walk around in town without cross-dressing first. It feels like everything you did for them was meaningless. Each region should have had as big of an impact as the zora's domain, where the tone of the people changes and new methods of exploring the region are created.
>Durability system
On the one hand, being forced to switch weapons is a fun way to keep the fighting diverse, as I've stated before. However, the weapons all break WAY to easily, and in the late game where you're really only going to be using 3 different weapon types, it just starts to feel tedious. People have talked this point to death already so I'll leave it at that, but basically it stops being fun around halfway through, and becomes a chore.

Final part incoming.
>>
>>171314752
>How about FUCK you, I want five, naw, MORE. 3 heart run, with respeccing to get master sword. Full stamina.
There's literally nothing in the game you can't climb with just 2 though.
>>
Can the master sword break if I use it too often?
>>
>>171317831
Mounting hits don't consume durability, so stun him with urbosa's fury or a headshot and use your strongest melee weapon when you mount him to really make it count. This is the only way to make a profit off of killing lynels (apart from upgrade materials), otherwise you'll break like three lynels' drops worth of weapons on each one you kill.
>>
>>171287595
I pity the fool who did not play thunderstruck on the pre-dungeon phase
>>
>>171317972

Final part

>Inventory
Navigating the menu is a pain in the ass in the late game, where you have to jump through 7 pages of materials in order to get to your food and back to your weapons. Not having a way to drop shields and bows without entering the menu itself is also garbage. These are things that could easily have been added to the quick select menu, since the menu doesn't even use any of the face buttons, but Nintendo was too lazy to do it. Big peeve of mine right there.

>koroks
900 was 500 too many, and the fact that the reward for getting them all is a literal shit trophy is just a slap in the face to completionists. Which segways perfectly into my final point

>post-game/completionist tasks
The end game is pretty lacking. While shedding most other Zelda traditions, they just couldn't help but include the one where there is no post game where you can roam the world after you've cured the blight. I would love to see a castle town under reconstruction as a group effort of the Hylians and other races, as they work to reestablish the kingdom. Now that Zelda is free there could be plenty of quests relating to her relationship with Link, going more in depth with their dynamic. But instead, we get a progress tracker and some shitty medals from Kilton. Overall the payoff is really low here, which disappoints me, but it's what I've come to expect from Zelda so at least it isn't a new issue with the series.

>Final thoughts
This is a VERY well made and fun game. It has a way of sucking you in and absorbing all of your time without you even realizing it. At almost all times during gameplay, I find myself having fun, with only a few instances of monotonous korok hunting or menu navigating dragging it down. For as polished as it is, it feels really lacking; like several aspects (story, end game) were only ever half-finished. It really leaves you wanting more, in a bad way, since you know that you're never getting the rest. 8.6/10
>>

The reason there's so many koroks is so you don't have to autistically track down every last one to get the upgrades. There's so many that you almost can't help but stumble into them so even if you're hardly exploring you can still at least get some upgrades. If there was only as many koroks as was necessary to fully upgrade your inventory then getting them all would be a monumental pain in the ass without just looking at guides since there's not even a korok sensor option. The leader of their people, Riju, respects your character and knows the circumstances of your slumber and the status you held in the kingdom. She treats you with respect and values your aid. As the leader she has more than enough influence to say to her people that this voe is allowed in town. To your point it could have even led to new dialogue in the OPPOSITE direction of the zora, where instead of liking you more the townspeople give you shit for being male all the time. Not only is it better gameplay wise as now you don't need to switch outfits every time you go there, but now the Gerudo have even more personality than they do in the game now.

>>171319260
Saying there are so many because they cost a lot for upgrades means very little, seeing as how that number could have been balanced to coordinate with a smaller amount. So if there were say only 100 koroks, each upgrade could cost 1-10 korok seeds. I'm not saying that's the right number, in fact it's a little low, but you get the idea. And similar to the skulltula house from OoT, the end reward should have been something actually useful. It's very similar, where the last main reward is given halfway through your collection, but getting them all gives you something else. Only difference is that the one in BotW serves NO purpose, while in OoT is served a purpose, although not a very great one. I don't know what you SHOULD have gotten, but it should have been better than a golden pile of shit that makes Hestu dance. It could have been a 5th ability like Mipha's grace, etc, that had some effect on the game at large. Like Hestu teaching you his dance that you can then use on enemies to distract them like in older games where you could get musical weapons that made all the enemies dance. That's a fun reward that makes autistically hunting them all down worth more than just the completionist number, and I would have liked to see something like that in the game.

I think there should have been more sandstorms and the area in which you could be struck by lightning should have been much bigger. I think travelling on foot would have you moving too slowly to avoid lightning so Sand Seals would've been mandatory. Although maybe having you being shocked rather than struck by lightning would be better

As for being able to freely move around the city as a voe. That would be a slippery slope. Why wouldn't all the wives in the Town campaign for their husbands to be allowed into the town.

There isn't so many because the upgrades are so expensive, there's that many because the world is fucking gigantic and the koroks are there to help fill it. If there were only 100 then you could easily play through the whole game and only find 20-30. You are simply not meant to find every korok and frankly doing so could just as easily have given nothing.

I still don't know what you're trying to say. Her diary explains that the rune made her age backwards until she was physically six, then it stopped. >>
>>171320318
Like I said, I'm not suggesting 100 is a good number, just a simple one for the concept I was referring to. I think 4-500 would have been the optimal number. As they are now, you often have areas where 3-4 are bundled together in relative proximity, so thinning them out by 2/3 even wouldn't have the drastic consequences of hurting game density. Also even WITH the koroks, there are areas of the game that went underused. Look on the northern wall of the Gerudo Highlands towards the west. There is an area with lots of scaffolding and platforms, similar to in the canyon on the east side. Even WITH 900 koroks in game, there is only one Korok anywhere near that structure, and he's off on the side of it, meaning you never have to explore it for any reason ever in the entire game. Adding more quests that send the player to these such locations would have been a much better solution than simply upping the korok density. And no, having no reward for something in a game is terrible game design always. Even if the main reward was unlocked after you got half of them, there still needs to be something there for the people that take the time/effort to complete the collection.

I'm not sure she has as much power as you think she does and even if she does she doesn't exercise it fully because she doesn't feel like she's a good leader yet. I expect she won't be repealing or amking exceptions to ancient laws and traditions with impunity for a long time yet

Very true, she did feel like she needed to grow as a leader. Which could have been an excellent result of working alongside Link to take down the beast. When you come back she could have been more confident, assured of her ability to rule her people, and finally proving her worth to herself. Instead she thanks you and then everything goes back to the status-quo. Like I said I like the characters. I just feel that more could have been done with them.

Royal weapons, at least one flame type weapon for utility, and lynel gear. In the late game this is pretty much the only shit you're going to be using. After you've beaten your third divine beast, all the mobs in the Colosseum by the plateau have royal gear, as well as all Hinox's. After the fourth beast they become pretty common with basic enemies as well, and still remain in Hinox's. The Colosseum on the other hand actually switches to having all 9 elemental weapons.

Nabooru and Ruto are mentioned in this game as having been sages that defeated Ganon. This only happened in Downfall and Adult timelines.

The sages in TP were weird old men ghosts who were the predecessors of the ones you awaken during OoT's Adult portion.

So IMO the Gerudo Voe set really didn't need shock resistance especially in light of the fact the Rubber Set does it and looks better doing it not to mention Unshockable. I feel that it would've benefited from getting Sand Movement Up but what would've been even nicer is if it had Day Movement Up but only in bright sunlight ie the desert but having some utility in good weather around the rest of Hyrule

>>
>>171328487
The voe set has shock res because the desert is full of lightning based enemies and electricity based shrines, it's an armour made for the area which is why it has heat res AND shock res.

Also temp res caps at 2 and sand boots give sand movement up so the voe set with sand boots is functionally the same as the full set with a sand movement up set bonus would be.

I'm bullshitting those who have yet to play this game or read up anything on it that the plot is that Calamity Ganon is this miasma thing because Link stole Ganon's body when the latter was just a child, attaching his own head on it. Ganon was so pissed that his power made him become the miasma and his body had enough of this residual thing that Link had to sleep for his head to attach properly and it weakened him.

Body snatching is bad, link

In OoT Rauru says he's one of the ancient sages that originally created the Temple of Time.
The sages in TP that try to execute Ganondorf when he's captured during the Child Timeline are ghosts that have served "since ancient times". Instead of being the people who didn't become sages until 7 years after that, in a different timeline.

yes but sand boots mess up my theme. Imagine if they were other pants in the Zora region which gave better swimming abilities than the actual Zora set. The Opal earings only provide an equal buff but then you lose spin attack

Also as mentioned by another anon there's electric enemies damn near everywhere. Sand movement up would have been better and if you couldn't live without shock resistance you could always put on the Topaz Earings

You're both wrong though. There's electric keese in most places when it storms but that's it. The desert is crawling with yellow lizalfos and is to my knowledge the only place they spawn. The regions clearly have themes to their enemies and the desert is where the highest concentration of lightning is (with a small amount of fire as well).

I have 5/3/5 which sounds like your dream horse. Not sure why you'd want slow speed though. It's the silver maned black one at Toabab Grasslands.

1 is super easy to find right next to a town and has a sidequest that points it out, which I assume is the one you have already. 1 of them might be hard to find unless you really go exploring, 2 of them are easily visible from towers

>What is the path up to Zora's domain
An extremely specific area where lightning arrows are used, not where there are lightning enemies.

>What is farosh's bullet spam
Something I'd be shocked to actually see anyone get hit by.

>What is a good half of lynels (the other half have ice arrows)
11 enemies scattered throughout the world, with extremely high concentration in three areas, one of which is in or around gerudo.

The existence of some isolated electric enemies in other parts of the world isn't a reason for the voe armour not to have a shock res bonus, it's a reason for the rubber armour to exist in the first place. However, you'll note every example you list is extremely isolated. By no means are there electric enemies "damn near everywhere," there's a few small spots that have electric enemies and then a big fucking desert that is absolutely lousy with them all over.

Which is apart from the fact that another set doing shock res better doesn't mean that the voe armour having shock res is somehow a bad thing, and if there WERE electric enemies "damn near everywhere" that would only make it better for it to have. Like you're wrong on multiple levels here- You're wrong about there being electric enemies everywhere and you're also just fundamentally wrong about that even being significant or relevant.
