It's not just 1v1 winrate. They have several different metrics and statistics they use, on top of community feedback, to influence their balance decisions.

Peacekeeper wasn't "buffed" because of her winrate. She was bugfixed because a core part of her kit was not working correctly ever since launch, on top of a small quality-of-life buff to let her confirm a light off a parry.

i try to open my opponent up with the dash in stunning tap or GB, but if they keep their block up and are good at cGBing, then that goes out the window
you can cancel your heavy into a stunning tap, and cancel any chain into an unblockable
the whole idea from what i can tell is to keep your opponent off kilter not with speed, but with your tools

Use your Stunning Tap cancel off a heavy or dash for a bit of sneaky damage.
Don't forget your forward-dash and side-dash guardbreaks.
If you catch them sleeping, your zone unblockable chain ender does mammoth damage. If you catch them with zero stamina, you can bait a parry with this and fuck them up.
Your HLH chain has funky timing and can mess people up.
Make sure your parries are on point.

Raider doesn't have the overall versatility of the Warden or the range and mobility of the Kensei, but what he does have is cunning.

I play him a lot. Use your heavy into top soft feint until you condition them to not go for the parry on the heavy. At that point, just throwing out a regular side heavy will often land because they move to top, and even if they block they probably won't dare to go for the parry because of the risk of being stun-tapped.

This is part of fighting game psychology. Condition your enemy, then fuck them up once their guard and habits are set.

Alright, I'll say it.

I think this game is a lot of fun and don't regret the money I spent on it.

Connection errors are really only prevalent in the 4v4 gamemodes, and I largely only play those to complete orders, so I rarely have connection problems. I can count on one hand the amount of times I recall having problems in 1v1

The core gameplay is fun. The balance is all over the place, and it's draining to play against the same 3 classes over and over, but I still derive enjoyment from the base act of fighting in general.

I think the Faction War is a bit bogus and exists only to give them ample time to work on DLC, but it doesn't detract from the experience at all.

Play defensive. Try to parry unless it's a Nobu or Pisskeeper. If they're bad you can usually shove to top heavy. Never forget to use the top light to mix it up. GB into walls, bully, shove, bully. If it starts to look bad back off immediately and try to regain the initiative after a counter if they get aggressive. Don't ever drain your stamina. Also try to mix it up, top heavy gets parried a lot, since most people who aren't shit expect it. Condition them to expect it then feint to side heavy.

I'm a shitter but I'm getting better. If you can't parry you're going to have trouble as LB.

I'm not even sure where the bad NAT comes from.
I'm not exactly using an optimal network setup (PLC + long as fuck ethernet cable) and I always had a Green NAT unless I try to play with a VPN in which case I get a red NAT even though I use it flawlessly in other games.

Gear is gear, it'll always do something. Prioritize attack/defense and revenge attack/defense. Revenge duration is really good because it allows you to execute pretty safely with the Impaler in ganks since your defense is so high. Stamina reduction is kinda shit since you don't get hits in often, so you want to maximize the damage you get on them. Debuff resistance is alright if you want to make it secondary to revenge duration, but don't crutch on max debuff hoping to not get punished on parries since that shit is getting patched out soon and it'll just give you bad habits. Sprint speed is easily the best for torso, it's good in Elimination for running and good in Dominion for getting to places faster.

Orochi and PK can kara-cancel an attack into their super-quick zone attack; the input for the first attack appears first before the corrected input for the zone attack appears. This can be construed as an exploit.

For Raider, it's just a soft feint. He can transition a heavy swing into a stunning tap.

Orochi, it's a bug where you make the game read a light attack in one direction before turning it into a zone. It's doable on every character, but is worst on Orochi, PK, Warden, and Conq.
