I've always been confused about this quest line. Seems like Hardin wants to overthrow McNamara because he feels that he is too much of a "wait and see" leader, but yet all the quests McNamara send you on contradict that.

He sends recon scouts to rival faction locations, several patrol scouts (although they all do get massacred), and sends the player character to retrieve repair parts that are essential to their bunker.

I just don't understand what exactly Hardin wants to do differently that McNamara isn't currently working on or has already done. Seems like he is upset mostly because he is kept out of the loop.

Modern dictatorships tend to be inefficient due the nature of its own system. They make the people on top rich since the leader needs to bribe the people up top to not kill him basically.

Fuck even a gigantic Yao Guai and giant green geckos in HH which caused me to die three times were less annoying because I could at least damage them. The robo scorpion was basically a fucking wall that soaked up insane damage and just took ages to kill as I ate through my medkits.
