The more people that I see being unnecessarily negative about MEA, the more I realize that I am having a way better time than them being actually being excited about the game.

I understand cautious optimism, trying not overload the hype train, etc. But all these people are so busy being hyper critical and nitpicky and I'm over here re-watching trailers, listening to bits of the soundtrack, and just getting amped up for a new Mass Effect experience. I think ME:A will be enjoyable. But it could be so much more. There's no polish, no love. It feels rushed and hurriedly produced by people who don't care.
The animations are a symptom of this, but they're not too bad of an issue for me, the models though, the little mistakes that someone who cared would fix. The game feels emotionless, there's no connection. Plus the scanning just removed most of the hype for exploration from me. What's wrong with a little text and problem-solving?

I doubt most of the people would even care about the Collectors since they only target human colonies on the fringe systems.

But Shepard goes around and has done countless of other stuff through the course of ME1/2 so a lot of people treat him/her as a hero, such as every single shopkeeper asking for you to say it's your favorite store in the Citadel.

Since there are tons of ship models for people to buy(and you get the SR-2 model right at the beginning of ME2), I think its reasonable to say that any toy company would love to be the first to sell the model of Shepard's latest ship.
