that's not for the GoG version, is there a way to add a charm notch via cheat engine? I got 8 on my save, and only finished the first trial before the update fixed the coliseum, I stopped playing because I don't wanna start over nor finish the game lacking a charm notch. Accessible from inside the Hive, from the wall directly left of it, Crystal Dash left and jump up.
The one in the Waterways is similar, dash, then jump up and watch the puffer thing.

Not sure where to go to get more essence. I'm sitting at 1500 even, and I have a few more whispering roots, but no more dream bosses, I don't think. I don't think the last two and a half whispering roots will cover the remaining 300 I need for the upgrade.

Anyone else get a lot of anxiety from exploring the Deepnest, especially the first part? I'm not particularly insectophobic or claustrophobic either, I don't know how a person who is would handle it.

So i just found a lift that took me to the upper right area of the city of tears. And inside of a house i found what seems to be a golden noble bug. Looks way bigger than the average too.

He doesn't seem to be attacking me though. So i'm wondering if there's anything special about him or if i should just kill him?

Am I the only one who was upset when they saw the path leading under the wall in King's Station?

So how do you know when you've rescued all the grubs? I've gotten a change in the room that seems pretty final, but I also haven't managed to find the 'main' entrance to the Hive and there are a handful of other areas I haven't cleaned out so I'm assuming there are more grubs to find.

Also, what does the lighthouse do when you turn it on?

Obviously there are some optional paths to save grubs/get money/lead to later game areas, but there are presumably some that aren't as well.

Having problems with the grubs: I grabbed all the icons on my map, including the ones that are inside enterable areas, the aren't any empty holes in the Grub King's room, and I got a fuckton of Geo and the King's Idol in addition to all the rewards given to me before that (Pale Ore, charm, etc.) but still no cheevo and nothing's happened. I'm clearly missing something here. What do? Is there a super duper hidden one somewhere?

That was pretty well done, but the boss fight felt oddly simple. The music was nice though. I'm guessing that thing wore the skin of people's loved ones or people they knew to atract them and kill them? Kinda fucked up.

Explain the dream nail to me. Am I just supposed to use it on everything and everyone I come across in case it works?

I think that the non-linear approach of this game is mostly wasted because, unless you're replaying the game, you don't know exactly what are the rewards of each area.

Hell, NPCs should at least give a hint of where you can get certain stuff, I'm always going to the easiest areas(or at least the areas that seem the easiest) first because of that.

I wish they gave us the option to pick a different mask/head for HK, i thought it was cool how the shadows in the abyss had a variety of head types.

Finding out how it would work is this point. I've managed to skip the false knight and if you force quit after getting the vengeful spirit you don't wind up inside the area that forces you to kill the wall block, but i'm not sure how to get further.

It's possible that since they changed the spawn system, they forgot to also alter the aggro system for Womb Babies to match, so spawned enemies don't count as enemies to them. Do they still cause collision damage is the enemy collides with them?

What charms do you guys use? Is it at all worth going spellcaster build with the shaman and soul catcher charms? Maybe with the quicker dream nail charm for easier time refilling soul?

I don't really know what the damage values are on things like vengeful spirit, spores, thorns, etc are so it's hard to get an idea of what I should be using.

I'm not good enough to be able to spare souls for spells over healing. Even a point of two of health keeps me alive in some boss fights.

My standard boss setup is full blademaster with Quick Slash, Mark of the Pride, Sharp Shadow, Nailmasters Glory, and either stallwart shell, soul catcher or quick focus dropping Glory to fit.

holy fuck I might lose 10k geo because the game suddenly started shoving me left when I broke into this vertical room and I fell onto some spikes then kept respawning further left, and it persisted when I woke up at the last bench I found

first significant gamebreaking bug I've found, one other time I fell into a solid wall and could only get out by jumping into the bottom of a spiked roof, and of course the constant random hitching

Theres not really a whole lot in this game that requires money.

After you've cleaned house with the two merchants up top, its just Nail upgrades and the charm lady thats left for geo sinks.

Losing the 10k might hurt now if you still need to get most of that, but once you buy everything your geo count will just rise and you'll wonder why you ever cared about geo.

Keep your distance so that he does the stomp wave thing a few times, then he will jump towards you. Dash behind him and hit him, then dash away so you taunt his wave attack again. Repeat until dead.
