No you don't. The only way you can rank up as horde is by farming alliance at BRM. There's almost no point in queuing as alliance premades are autistic and stomp pretty much every horde pug. At least if you get some gear/rank you can start to get into premades. Horde have no options really.

Having 2 problems:
1. Disconnect immediately after connecting to a character. I've read all the troubleshooting topics about this issue and did everything that was recommended but nothing helped.

2. When I alt+tab more than once the game completely slows down and gets placed as "always on top" meaning the only thing I can do is force close the game.

priest are terrible to level during launch, unless you're poopsocking and can get ahead of everyone. you're free honor until level 40, and even then you're still food if it's 2vs1.
mages and rogues are much, much easier to level on crowded launches.
mages will always be wanted in groups. the aoe is great for going fast. rogues will compete with warriors for weapons and they're melee, which means autists from grizzley and nope and all the other big guilds will never want you in their groups.
