I don't remember it happening at all?
Maybe it's because my detection meter was 0% almost the entire game, but I never had it happen. Enemies that weren't the one I attacked would respawn, but that's a given.
The sole time it did happen to me was in Okumura's Palace on the route to the treasure; One of the Dalek things respawned immediately after an encounter, and I can replicate it every time so it must be scripted.

It's not so much that he's in love with P4. He's just really kneejerk and unable to articulate things but hides that behind a condescending persona. He goes on and on about how he doesn't like anime, about how drugs and sex are mature themes and anything that doesn't approach them or doesn't have gorgeous cinematography isn't worth watching. He's also instinctively against most anime art styles, even though he's the Brink of Memories guy and constantly works to emulate Soejima. He also called Ann's awakening scene badass, even though it's got about 20 seconds of her writing and moaning while there's a pink color filter on.

He isn't willing to admit that P5 is actually closer to his general tastes than P4 is, simply because he's so attached to his incorrect impressions. You'd think that it would just be an elaborate act, but he shows no signs of stopping, even though tons of people give him shit.

The first question Sae asks you in the interrogation. She lists off the names of the identities of the PT to you, and asks you to confirm that they're correct - basically selling your friends out. If you choose to say that she's right, rather than deny it, then you get the bad end. It gives you a save immediately before it and it's pretty fucking blatant from the tone of the scene that the decision is going to determine that though. You would have to be either incredibly dense or flat out trying to get the bad end to actually get it.

Because the Japanese promo material says "Anne". Honestly I don't either - the names are in fucking English, and Atlus USA's trailers for the confidants have the Japanese names for them in them for some reason, so the whole "they dont want japanese text in there" thing isn't really relevant either.
PV04 is miles better edited than every trailer Atlus USA have done put together and they are missing out on a good opportunity to advertise the game by not splicing the English stuff into it.

Tbh I liked to shitpost about Atlus USA a while back, and the in-game UI is atrocious, but they're at least trying as of late. The latest trailer had a bunch of animations made by them that were pretty good for what I'd expect a localization company to do, and the official website is actually incredibly well designed.
It's a great shame they couldn't put that effort into the actual game, and instead it looks like the coders were the ones designing the UI there though.

For the deadline countdown, I saw the assets for that back when I was prying through the files, but since everything is so retardedly named no way am I going to bother finding it again, but it's literally a single texture for the whole part on the left side of the number, eg. what pic related would be. You can kinda see this from the way that it animates when you close a menu and the deadline pops back up too. What that means is that it's 100% Atlus USA's laziness that made it so terrible, since Atlus JP made it the easiest possible thing to edit. It's a literal image, not some bit of text that needs coding, so they could've easily put anything in there. I can't say for sure that the other UI elements were entirely Atlus USA's fault, but it's pretty clear they are to blame for fucking a lot up.

Thing about Joker is he was publically IDed as the leader of the Phantom Thieves of Heart.

That's literally the point of the ending. They reject the idea that life should be simple and people would just trudge through, in favor of freedom. They know the consequences and for them, it's the better outcome. Sure, if you're shallow and look at it from your own perspective the bad end seems enticing, but it's clearly not the one the characters would be okay with in the slightest.

That's not really how I see them. If it's an ending where the player gets fucked over, is more of a punishment than a "choice," but I think P5 does a good job having both endings where you get punished for not beating a dungeon in time as well as the evil ending as a blatant decision.

Well, yeah. Getting Bad Endings for fucking up is one thing, but getting a Bad Ending for being evil in a game that allows it is kind of annoying, if no indication was given that that was going to happen.

Evil paying better, but picking the good path regardless, is normally my favorite way to play.
