The real problem for ranged is that this tier most of the mechanics focus them, provided you have enough. This forces them to move, so classes like electric sham, demo lock, and a few others are fucked because you usually have to move mid rotation cycle, interrupting all damage.

For melee it is business as usual since fucking nothing in raid content has relevant cleave.

I've been juggling it and legion for a while. Unless you're a true blizzcuck, it also makes you realize how shitty legion is in some aspects too.

A decent amount of critical thinking will lead you to believe that both games have a lot of room for improvement, most of which will not be implemented in either.

Playing Vanilla makes you miss the convenience, instant gratifications etc from Legion, playing Legion makes you miss actual differences between classes and speccs, tough-but-rewarding gearing and actual wPVP.

I don't miss "instant gratification", I miss QoL features, and Vanilla has basically none. Its going from Legion->Vanilla you feel like the design choices of the latter are almost intentionally fucking terrible. They're not, it was inexperience, but it doesn't make it any better.

The only thing its got going for it is some level of feeling that classes had more interesting roles, but that to me is overshadowed completely by the fact that no thought had been put into balancing those specs, or making them fun to play optimally. Frostbolt spam for an entire tier makes me bored to tears, sorry.

they're not as good as drood/shaman/pally for high M+, but they work, mostly just their spot-heals are very slow, so people cant fuck up as much as with a sham or pally

and for raiding, they're a little bit underrated, but it's understandable why high end guilds would want a shaman/drood/pally more, but revival is really helpful for progress as a casual guild, and essence font has issues....
