I don't remember how much it costs to unlock a champ, but since essence now a thing, it's nice not having to waste gold on Champs. The mount is pretty meh, but I enjoy the Nando skin.

Overall, I think I'd recommend it, but only if you plan on getting every single champ. If you're only going to buy and learn one or two in each category, then save your money.

First Snek game went really well. I managed something like 50k healing which set up the Tyra and Barik for 100k and 60k damage games respectively. Going to need some practice with the ult, but it shouldn't be too different from Hun Batz in Smite

the original excuse lore of the game, which was also the excuse lore for Aurum (2012 paladins) was simply people fighting eachother to steal their treasures. the original siege game mode had you escorting siege engines to blow up the enemy team's vault door.

It's fun. MOBA gameplay gives a strategic depth especially with the lack of rearward visibility an over-the-shoulder camera imposes, and the moment-to-moment action games is engaging. The mythology of real cultures, even with artistic liberties, is more interesting than pretty much any video game lore.

Just picked up Torvald, and holy fuck people are right when they say he's brain dead easy to play. Just hold down left click, press Q on any teammate that's kinda close to the enemy, F on anyone who get in your face, and recharge when it's off cooldown.

Not sure, but I have 70k matches right now and Fernando is picked less than other champions.
So at 2000 elo there's only 400 matches which isn't all that reliable.

Also disclaimer for all of those graphs.
Since matchmaking is royally fucked, it often happens that even though team elos are roughly the same, the difference between the highest and lowest rated player is relatively large, which might screw with the data, especially at >2000

It still produces some really obvious and reasonable patterns though.

Her mobility and character model have literally nothing to do with her being powerful though, it's the midfight self heals she can pull off and lack of voice communication
Healing on pounce, healing on cooldown, healing while prowling, and resetting pounce on elims to get even more heals made her far more durable in direct combat than most flankers
Couple that with her high burst damage and mobility she was pretty free to roam around picking fights and losing little to no health during each encounter leading people to believe she was busted
In reality it's the self healing keeping her alive and the lack of communication among team members means she can sneak around and pick favorable 1v1s without anyone knowing about it
She can get really high burst damage out but has relatively little constant damage meaning if she doesn't kill them immediately (ie frontliners or groups of enemies) then she's dead meat
Removing her mobility is a mistake and is going to make the character worthless, all she really needs is her self healing reduced, but communication and situational awareness decreases as elo increases since people actually utilize [VGS] more
Unlike other flanks she doesn't have any means of protecting herself from direct attacks so she needs to just avoid damage outright and gimping her mobility will remove this

Maeve was probably picked on both teams a lot of the time

I think the problem with Maeve is that she just does too much damage too easily.

Both knives at close range is 900 damage, add in the 600 from the pounce and another 900 from the follow up knives, that's 2400 damage in just a couple seconds. A good chunk of champs will just straight die from that while others are heavily chunked.

Xboner here, combined with the atrocious hitboxes and console aimbot its extremely cancerous on kinessa while making every hero aside from buck bomb king cassie damba impossible to miss with, sha lin is unaffected by it but his hitboxs are so big he never misses anyways.
