Then you'd have to keep buffing the powerjack. Sounds dumb, just make the other melees acceptable in comparison to it. There are always going to be straight upgrades for melee weapons because most stock ones are largely ineffective and not core to the class' gameplay, just get over it.

I'm good-to-great at every aspect of Pyro. Yeah puff n sting was fun, but more to the point I primarily play funboats Soldier; since the Degreaser got nerfed, shitstain pubby Pyros (like yourself) got even worse at reflects and I never die to them anymore and it's not even close. I think Pyro ought to be at least a semi-competent class.

New pyro weapons:

Flamethrower that arcs and has a much longer range but sets the ground on fire for a few seconds depending how consistent the fire is, can cause (minor) self damage if you walk into it, sort of like a hose. Could use it to attack from different positions and the arc of the spray could allow for some longer range play as a primary but without it just being a straight line like the others.

Incendiary shotgun, this games got a lot of shotguns and considering there's a fire specialist i'm surprised they didn't include some sort of Dragons Breath shotgun shells.

Both of these things already happen. Even with the phlog because it follows the same particle path as the others

Sounds really bad. There is no purpose to this. Airblast is already based on a precision timing window, nerfing it from the refire rate it has now would only make Pyro weaker against Soldiers and sticky spamming med-range Demos (something Pyro already struggles with) as well as worse at cutting down spam which is a beneficial ability to have for the flow of the game
