Running solo will kick you in the ass a lot (see Hema research costs and this current operation). At least join some discord server or an active clan to get 1 or 2 people to play with. You can thank me later.

Up until recently the only reason to join a clan was to get the researched weapons and frames. According to DE clans will get more attention from now on.
Get yourself into a very active storm/mountain clan (they will also require you to be very active) and if that's not up your valley (maybe a weekend player?) then get yourself into a ghost/shadow clan. Entering a clan that's nearing full capacity is preferable.

Know your farming spots and level everything to 30 before selling.

For melee weapons? eh, you generally want to use a weapon type with good stances, heavy blades stand out a bit with tempo royale for example, whereas machetes stand out with only having one stance that is a raging trash fire that destroys the entire weapon class with it's mediocrity.

Those strategies won't work at high level.

Solo equinox won't handle. Maim stuns only briefly and once you drop the bomb at high level you'll never get it back and it'll barely do any worthwhile level. That'll get you to the end of the personal score but it won't win the event.

Ember has some tricks up her sleeve and has some CC but if you're running more than two people you're gonna have to split the group. Even with stealth embers you're gonna run into damage and energy problems late game and her firequake doesn't work on vennins.

What you want is something like duration Haven Limbo + duration/range Nezha. Limbo can keep everyone invincible and away from auras and nezha can pop CC that works on disruptors and mutalists for it's full ~26 second duration before popping out of rift to push buttons/refugees. Refugees get some healing from haven, you can pick them up in the rift if any of them ever fall. Always keep everything CC'd when you need to work so nothing can ever hit you and it won't even matter what level the enemy is because you'll never need to kill them and you'll never need to get air support. Two groups of those for B and C and if they ever meet up at A have one squad take the lead on doing the usual. Congrats you can get as high of a score as you can stand.

Mesa would possibly work for near always on CC but it's not 100% of the time, doesn't work on vennins but works on disruptors. Inaros can do some CC/heal with swarm but disruptors bust it, and no vennin. RHino's CC won't touch vennins. Frost could use globe to push enemies before doing whatever they need to do as it's invincible for a few seconds but avalanche has all the problems of the above as well as being expensive.

But if you're bringing trin, surviving will be more difficult though. At high enough level even blessing is going to have trouble keeping you alive and avalanche is junk except for icy aug so it's globes all the way down which is stupid. Trin can heal but it don't help when you can't CC all the shit and infested are particularly good at shitting on frost's CC when they start pulling eximus, osprey, and disruptors nonstop.
It's a possible combination, but it's gonna be more work and harder than basically walking around and tapping 4, getting banished and walking away basically. Clearing the way as you said is extremely valuable and frost is so/so at it and trin largely can't do shit in that area. Limbo makes them effectively invincible and nezha freezes everything in place period.

Nidus is also possibly an okay call for CC with his larva/ravenous but it can be unreliable. He can constantly build stack as well meaning he can basically never go down if you do it right and will have invincibility. I haven't personally tested him to see if he can heal the survivors - he should be able too. But like frost, it's gonna be more work than just hitting 4 once and locking everything down outright to do your work. But he can heal better than nezha can since he doesn't require kills to do it.

Rakta has a proc, Cernos P. has a triple shot, but it's weaker because of it, and most of them have punch through if you fully draw it, so you can kill shit if it's in a line. It works for that if you catch everyone and have enough time. Find a sweet spot and it's partly CC and not terrible for casting. You don't need to recast it all day you just need to cast it once to clear the area while you get go in and out of the rift to activate. You wouldn't be doing it all day. But like I said it can be unreliable. Similarly ravenous does have it's issues but you're not looking to fill them up, you're looking to add enough health for them to get to the extraction along with limbo's haven. They do like to fuck around and split up for no good reason so you could at least add a bit of healing. How much healing it does depends on your strength but if Limbo goes forward and pops it as they run to it, it would be something. Again, not trying to heal them from enemies that largely won't be touching them at all, trying to give them enough health to make it to extraction without dropping.

I don't even have forma on my nezha and I can get him to 28 seconds of stopping around 32 meters. I don't have maxed vitality on the build for that but if you had an extra D I'd have the build filled minus exilus.

Possibly a team with 4 infested impedance or antitoxin would help as well. But a quick build that's close enough CP/energy, fleeting/stream 10/8 or 9/9 would better, narrow minded, overextended, vit 8 or higher if forma, constitution, primed continuity, stretch.

If you're going solo with it, you're probably gonna have a bad time with toxin and having to recast - it's really intended to work with a limbo for selective casting during interaction phase so you can touch consoles early and touch survivors to get them moving while limbo stays in the rift as often as possible only coming out to recast rift every 80 seconds or so asap.

Also just to clarify, since powers work outside the rift you want to cast divine spears while you're in the rift so nothing ever takes a shot at you if possible. Then getting re-rifted.
