Heroes was an alright port, not much else to say.

Sonic CD is pretty amazing but it doesn't work borderless and stops working if you alt-tab. I don't recommend the original 1993 port. There's a full fledged Metal Sonic conversion if you like mods.

Lost World is mediocre regardless, not sure if it's a good port or not.

Generations is pretty good, but the cutscenes are locked at 30 FPS, which can be jarring. It has lots of mods too.

Sonic 1 to 3&K are all fine ports.

Adventure is great, use the 1080p fix. You can also download a patch that replaces it with the Dreamcast textures, as it should be.

SA2 is pretty average.

I don't really know, its just unsettling.

How would you make a Dr. Eggman game? I've had an idea for a while.

It would be a twin-joystick shooting game where you play as Eggman in his Eggmobile, fighting against GUN robots. Clearing stages and collecting rings (why not?) would let you purchase new weapons and armor to attach to the Eggmobile.

The story would revolve around Eggman taking control of different cities and military bases by destroying GUN grunts and bosses, maybe have Big Foot, Hot Shot, and Flying Dog from SA2 show up as bosses. Of course Sonic would be involved. The last boss would be Super Sonic, you would shoot him and chip away at his ring energy until he's forced to revert to normal. I've got the ending cutscene all planned out, too.

Normally I don't want anything Archie to mix with the games at all, but I feel like if there's one thing that might be neat, it's a game where you take control of Eggman and the rest of the Egg Bosses. Each of them would have their own gameplay style and you'd do weird egg-missions. Thunderbolt might be fun as shit.

I want that Doc back with a wicked sense of humor. But instead we have a punching bag of a Doc.

Sometimes I enjoy it when Eggman actually pulls one over sonic in the Comics. How come SEGA can't be really coherent on making him legitimately a threat? At most in the games. The original Trilogy, Sonic Adventures, and Sonic Unleashed had the Doc very come-uppance on Sonic a few times.
*Sonic 1-Delayed him from reaching the final stage to another dangerous labyrinth
*Sonic 2- Not only forces Sonic & Tails to reach up in the sky to chase him but also takes it to the next level with not just one boss but 2 bosses back to back on the Death Egg making it a challenge.
*Sonic 3 Death Egg with gauntlet of 3 bosses at end
*Knuckles Lava Reef comes in mind destroying the areas afterwards with his tyranny of launching the Death Egg affecting the entire area into lava.
You get the picture. Each time he got served but even more so being labeled as a joke in the 3D series.
Hopefully 2017-2018's project cures my woes of such a matter.

Just posting pictures is guaranteed to pull a response like "shit character" or shorttext rants about how poorly written she is/how much better she was when she didn't have a body. It's been around for the past 10 generals or so.

From a discussion standpoint, it's just because she's very controversial due to the nature of her character and her role within the story. Some think she should be given more focus, some prefer when she was just a smarmy plot device. Some don't like the weird amount of focus she has in the reboot what with her supervillain and form, some prefer when she had actual growth in the original. A good amount of people just like her because she's a waifu and has a cute design. There's also the people who are furious about the possibility of Sally and Nicole having any sort of romantic relationship, which is what some say has been loosely been hinted at so far.

As a massive Nicolefag, I do have to say she's not doing too great at the moment. She really doesn't have a clear personality as of the reboot. At least before, she made up for her lack of real personality with the whole "growing and learning" thing (and the sass, which seems to have been toned down drastically here) She struggles here, which is nice, but she can't really grow now without repeating the same shit in the old universe. And she's too close to her original character (unlike King Acorn) to do anything drastically different with her outside of her origin story, which was established and resolved in the same arc.

As a whole, she's mostly just been a cute-looking exposition dump/plot device. Which I'm more than fine with. The way I see it, since she's essentially a plot device, if she grows into a proper character later, it's like a bonus. (thinking Trish from Vento Aureo) But if she never does, it's fine because she doesn't barge her way into every character situation. We've all got our expectations though.

She has some adorable chemistry with Sally though. If the comics somehow continue by some stroke of luck, I hope we get proper interactions between her and the rest of the cast.

Or she makes a bunch of new improvements that end up conflicting with each other, causing her to become chaotic. Have Rotor suggest reprogramming her to make her a more stable person with Sally or Bunnie objecting on the grounds that it would violate her rights as an individual. Have Nicole make a bunch of improvements to herself because she thinks it'll make Sally or someone else like her more, or make her more useful to the team, but it ends up slowly writing over what made the team start liking her in the first place. Have an Eggman follower defect to the Freedom Fighters and have Nicole use what she's learned to help the defector adjust to life as one of the good guys.

Those are just ideas off the top of my head though, a professional writer could probably do a lot more playing up her status as a program if they put their mind to it.

Basically what >>170225770 said, but probably I'd add to increase the sass, or the innocence. Increase fucking something. At least show a little more "humanity" within her character. Post-reboot she's supposed to have developed into a proper person, yet she rarely ever exhibits actual emotion because she's too busy delivering exposition and doing things for the plot. I understand that this is actually a decent part of her character which was brought up several times (her struggle between the emotional side of herself and her logical side) but if there was more downtime where we got to see more of how she actually acts around people when the plot isn't forcing her to do things, that'd be dandy.

I loved her to pieces because she was rather adorable and cool and I found her character arc very endearing and interesting - hell I still do. I'm a real sucker for that whole "robo struggles to become more human" thing. But I most definitely agree that she could be better than she is.
