What do people think of Capcom pro tour making it so you can only wualify via points (aside from the last place)? That sounds dumb as hell. It favors sponsored players that can just fly to every single tournament. If you can just go to one tournament ot two a year because of time or money constraints, or both, you are basically guaranteed to not be able to make it in no matter what.

I'm not sure if they did this on purpose because they're trying to drive the scene to be more esports and now players will need sponsors and shit or if it's just something random, but it doesn't sound good at all.

I fucking suck at fighting games and it really fucking sucks

It depends. All her moons are great for learning the game I think. She has the highest health in the game so you can make more mistakes than other characters. Her main weakness is how slow she is, she is VERY slow. All Akiha moons have solid buttons and have mediocre pressure midscreen while having great setplay in the corner. She is the sort of character you play when you want to dictate the flow of a match.
C-Akiha is really hard to be optimal with when it comes to confirms, I'd say she is the hardest of all the moons to play. Her main gimmick is her corner pit that drains meter and her tk j.2C overhead. Her air ribbons also give her good mobility that she really benefits from due to how slow her standard movement is.
H-Akiha has really solid damage and has a big, auto igniting pit. She also has great corner carry and her okizeme is pretty good. Her meter gain is also really good. Pretty simple character and so she is the simplest moon to play.
F-Akiha is the best moon and is all about sacrificing damage for corner carry combos into brutal corner setplay. Her gameplan is centered around negative edge pits, she can have up to 3. They are good for boxing off space in neutral but they become extremely powerful in the corner. She can end her pressure in a pit whenever she wants and then release it when she wants. This means she can choose where to place the gap in pressure and use pit accordingly to catch a mash or a jump out. Also for 100 meter she gets a free pressure reset and her specials deal good guard damage so it's not uncommon for her to guardbreak. Corner pits also allow her to set up fuzzies. Being in the corner against F-Akiha is a suffocating experience if the player knows what they are doing. F-Akiha is GO-1's main, the best Melty player in the world.

What does this mean? It's only like this if you make it like this. Until now you could go to exactly one tournament and if you won it you could qualify. Now, most people who go know that most likely, 99,9999999% they're not gonna win the tournament and not qualify. But there is that 0,0000001% possibility that they will. Now Capcom is telling them "if you can't fly to basically every CPT tournament, don't even bother". That's a bummer for anyone I'm sure.

Don't get why everyone mods games to be giant combo-fests. The reason I liked SF4 was because for most people, even the hardest combos weren't too long and too many hits, with Evil Ryu probably being the biggest offender. Combos were cool and they looked hard but they were pretty short and to the point. How does anyone like doing this, or on the opposite side, how does anyone like getting hit by something like this?

I've never watched any real matches of remix before, so I only have to go by these webms, but I watched SF4 for years and I feel like you'd see a combo like that maybe a couple times a tournament at most. In any practical sense most combos would last at most like 4 seconds. Pad or Stick for GG?
I've recently be switching off of pad to learn stick.
When playing Street Fighter, it feels pretty natural, and I've progressed to a a decently competent level on stick. It just feels right and I don't seem to have many issues with it.
However when playing GG, its like all knowledge goes out the window. I feel like playing in mud. I have trouble doing the most basic of movements and its really disheartening. Is it cause I'm new on stick, or is GG just more meant for pads??

Specifically the amount of dashing/air dashing in GG. Im not claiming to be a pad god or anything, but I feel like when playing GG on pad moving is much easier/more fluid for me. I can pretty much get where I want when I want and how I want without much issue. On stick I seem to fuck up the most basic of shit like that.

Honestly stick helps me (in SF at least) with move execution a lot.
I feel like the same would apply in GG, but floppin on movement options seems like a heft price to pay for it. We'll see. I'll just try practicing basic movement for a while and see if it helps out.
