I wish I could still stream more often. My connection is really temperamental. It seems to work well enough for small stuff (usually browsing websites is okay) most of the time but when it comes to downloading larger files (1+ GB) or watching Youtube at 720p or something, it seems to like to cut out often.

I'll give streaming a try one of these days but it'll be a real bummer if something happens during a score run and nullifies it.

MBL1.1 mode entirely. Ice Palace stage is missing slowdown. Parts of the Gorge stage might be missing some slowdown but I don't know for certain. I would assume that Hades Castle with max-level Death Mode is missing some slowdown too but again I'm not certain.

Slowdown in that game is the oddest thing. Outside of MBL1.1 mode, it isn't just missing entirely. It still happens at times but I don't know if it's arcade-accurate.

The states for BL are a mess, 1 through 4 and 6 through 9 are bosses, D is 2-1, C is 2-2, A is 2-3, N is 2-4, and 5 is 2-5. For WL, 1 through 8 are bosses and Q through Y are stages. Everything else is just random points in the game.

I actually really just couldn't clear it with type I because of my starcount. I practiced the tlb now a bit though and if I'm lucky I can clear it with 2 lives only. This should be definitely enough.

I also never paid much attention to the starcount during training. That's probably also why I died so much at the stage 4 boss, even though I practiced a lot actually.

I didn't bomb, but honestly I got a bit confused by the green shots despite managing to dodge them so it is probably acceptable to bomb there in a run.

The pattern that comes after seems easy to me, and the one after it is just objectively easy of course.

I entered the final pattern in the middle of the second iteration of the opener.

My thoughts exactly! I bought Mushihimesama on sale but compared to anything else I could buy for $20, this is total crap. I bought the game and the 1.5 dlc (can hardly tell what it even did to the game, except add another button for playing on hard). I played on easy, spent lke half an hour and finished it. Of course, it wasn't nearly as difficult as I expected, so I went straight to the hardest mode I could put the game on. I also beat this in half an hour, and I suck at this kind of thing. sure, I had a shitty score, but i didn't even die until the final boss. This is all because of your hitbox in this game; it's like 2/5 of a pixel large and impossible to hit. I literally just moved in circles forever and held down A. I would just glide right over those "bullets", putting them right on my hitbox in the process. I'm not even sure how it works, but sometimes it shows you a little circle that i think is supposed to be your hitbox. That is a total lie, I submerged that in bullets too without showing any sign of damage at all. In all, the only reason you'd die is if you killed yourself, and even that takes some time. I mean I geuss you could play it frame perfect and get 200 digit score or something like that, but there is absolutely no challenge to finishing the game, which hardly takes any skill or effort at all.

I've never used a circle gate. Personally I've been using octagon and I think it's cool for shmups but it does kinda suck for platforms and shit. Square gate was fine though.

Yeah, telling them to shoot for a 1cc and why, telling them what the differences between the modes are, telling them the basics of scoring and the fact scoring gives you extra lives. People not familliar with shmups and arcade games are typically just completely lost when they boot up most games. Makes me wonder how many more people would get into the genre if the games did a better job at explaining themselves.

Yeah a lot of them are like that and I'd love to see them whining in the steam reviews after bitching how the games are too easy but there's also a lot of people who just don't realize how well balanced the games are if you're going for a 1cc. They think it's some crazy self imposed challenge. You can kinda see how that view would come about too, because almost all console games at least give you 3 credits to work with.
