Was brainstorming a new hero, because I'm lonely and bored, I like what I got down at the moment, but I can't think of an ultimate that'd fit with the character for life of me. I haven't got any lore stuff, maybe it's being controlled by a God AI.

Omnic Defense builder
100 health
100 shield

LM = Quick three round burst rifle, hitscan.
RM = Electroshock
close range electric burst that stuns for a second, variable damage 50 - 150 (see passive). 8 second cool down.
E = Turret launcher
launches a turret at a similar trajectory to the translocator, when it lands it immediately forms a 100 HP 100 Shield turret. Deals damage in between a stage 1 and 2 Torb turret, cooldown starts at turret destruction, 6 seconds. 25m range.
Shift = Overclock
Similar to Sound Barrier, gives the turret 300 barrier that goes down quickly, slightly increases the turret's fire rate as well. 12 second cooldown.
Passive = Retaliation
Any damage given to an overclocked turret boosts the power of his next electroshock, using electroshock resets charge to 0, deteriorates even when electroshock is not used (meant to be used immediately after charge gained).

Meant to be a more active builder, since you launch the turret you can get it in more locations allowing for more strategies, LM requires aiming to a decent degree, overclock relies on quick timing and setting up in a good location to get the benefits of both it and the close ranged electroshock.

What ultimate do you think would work with a hero like this?

So does anyone really take this game seriously as an "esport" considering its an unbalanced mess? Every new season the meta becomes more of a joke and bullshit heroes like Widow (hands down most OP sniper in any competitive fps) Roadhog (give a hook mechanic to the hero that can one shot 19 out of the 23 others) and Symmetra (F tier shitlist never picked except on a few maps and then she's an OP bullshit 180 degree no aim required killing machine) and the hilarious ults like rezzing the entire team with a single button, a wall hack, and auto aim.

Since everyone here is top 100 players like they claim, can somebody tell a quickplay shitter is it wrong to switch off rein when people refuse to follow you?

I'm talking people running in front of your shield and basically yelling RAPE ME PLEASE or goofing around who knows where.

I try to charge ONLY when I am at least 90% certain it will land, but sometimes I drop my shield like a retard to get a cheekybreeky firestrike. Trying to unlearn that habit.

I take cover when my shield is about to break, I try not to let it break completely because of the cooldown.

Rein is only as good as the team behind him I understand?

How reliable is Oversumo?

Roadhog's gun is kinda flat and wide like a double barrel shotgun. I thought it was gonna be like that but it's this slow firing awkward 4 shot gun instead, and it also 1 shots in close quarter. Why don't they just make it a two shot shotgun with the same reload speed but faster fire rate, but you need to land both shots for a guaranteed kill (but the total damage is higher than 1 shot from current roadhog shotgun)?

seems kind of obvious, would be more fun to burst people down extremely fast (but not guaranteed from a hook) and retreat like the fat piggy you are to huff glue

she's such a homogenized overloaded character it's ridiculous. Her utility is supposed to be balanced around her 'difficulty' but grenade + 1 shot topping anyone but a tank off is not remotely difficult

she has the longest Crowd Control in the game
she has an ability that deals aoe damage, anti heal, boost heal and heals, on a 10 second CD
she has infinite range, hitscan damage at a moderate fire rate
she can still fire laser accurate whilst unscoped and jumping all over the place
she has one of the best ultimates in the game

She just crowds out the other supports that actually dare to have a support kit, and single handedly made the tank meta happen

The real problem is that Blizzard is so incompetent when it comes to balancing heroes that anything even slightly complicated when it comes to their kit is impossible for them to work with.

I mean they flat out admitted this. They aren't touching Sombra because they didn't want "another Ana situation". It's why she's been in last place despite being released months ago.
