Got 4 sleeves and emblems if we count Bahamut's, spent way too much time trying to get the Bloodcraft rewards tho, it took me over an hour to get the 9 wins with aggro Blood, but it only took like 15 minutes to get the wins with unga Shadow. Dragon was also painful because of the huge number of OTK roaches destroying unranked.

Been out of the loop for a few weeks but just saw the changes they are gonna make.

I understand the need to reduce the effectiveness of the Roach OTK combo deck but why did they do it in the worst way that affects other decks?

Generally I don't want to pull a 1 drop from any deck because they are usually pretty shit in this game (where-as many 2 drops are broken for a lot of decks).

Not only that but their original intention to nerf OTK roach instead just kills it, pulling a team 5 when it comes to game balance.

Now forest doesn't really have any other strong decks in the meta. Even though I prefer playing wolf bolt whenever I play forest, it was no where near as effective as roach decks. Seems like the shittiest way to go about this change.

I've been playing Roach for the past two days and noting when I pull roaches. Most games I get lethal without even needing gobbu's help other than the free card from feena's gobbu. In fact I lost a game because I drew into all 3 roaches with no way to bounce them for lethal. So yeah, the nerf is overall appropriate and will reduce OTK roach's consistency in an outlier of games, but at the cost of fucking up a bunch of other decks that used gobbu.

The problem with Roach, and Ancient Elf for that matter, is they are used in 100% of all Forestcraft decks. They have become so important for these decks to function that these cards became integrated with the class identity. Whenever you here the word Forestcraft, you think of Roach and Ancient Elf, and if you are not playing Roach and Elf, you aren't playing Forestcraft. You are playing a class that is completely different and weaker. They are so powerful and prominent that they are restrictive on the design space of the Craft. This is why nerfing Roach or Elf is such a problem. If Roach and Ancient Elf were nerfed, the entire class would immediately fall to tier 3. Not nerfing them restricts the design of Forestcraft cards in future expansions. Cygames can't nerf any of these cards without completely killing the class, unless they release slightly less powerful cards that can be alternatives for Roach or Elf, and still compete with the top tier decks, but don't dominate the metagame. It's a very tough problem for Cygames.

It's virtually impossible to win unless you shove roaches down the opponent's throat. I've been toying with different decks for hours and none of them work. Their board clears are shit, their draw is shit, and they can't do much other than die a slow death.

With every other class I can just throw together some meme deck and have a fair bit of success. Not forest. Wolfbolt is the only semi-decent one, but it's inconsistent.

It's no wonder they're not nerfing roach, it's the only thing keeping forest playable.
