Yeah, after the nuclear option if you talk to gravy he should bring up that the Brotherhood is bad and the minutemen should blow them out of the sky with artillery.

The quest trigger can be weird though so check the wiki. I got it to work by killing one of the non-essential brotherhood lackeys at Dance's police station so that the brotherhood hated me.

Alright guys, i'm a role play heavy player.
And there are two chars that I want create after my actual one:
> A boxer girl, patriotic(USA themed) and dumb as a mule. She will side with the NCR (for obvious reasons) and is gona unarmed for all run,

How does one maxmize the damage values on Automatics in Fallout 4? Is it even worth it? I need a play through that is different to the usual Rifle/CritGunslinger.

I just have my eye on the 10mm SMG mod currently and absolutely loved the SleepyTyme and Sydney's 10mm in NV/F3. I think it'd be neat to build a Survival capable SMG/Medic/Grenadier chick but the perk points necessary are a bit crippling. Think Rebecca Chambers kinda build. If anyone wants to roll me a SPECIAL and a vague perk tree it'd be nifty. I'm starting with 40 Special btw, a la classic Fallouts.

I never gave the gangs much thought because I found the aesthetics of the Pack so unappealing that I've singled them out for eradication every time. Which is a shame, because I do actually like Mason, but the whole gang looks like a six-year old with a cold stayed home from school drawing shit with crayons. The pack is shit. I've never sided with them in my playthroughs. Mason's a man baby and is as loyal as any of the other gangs if you don't give him his tendies.

Disciples are edgelords but they're probably the most proficient at being actual psychos. They value brutality above all else so as long as you're not a pansy you'd have nothing to worry about. They're your mad dog executioners.

The Operators are the only sane of the three and the best at being actual raiders. They tread the line between raiders and mercs. They also give the best returns on their territories. So siding with them is usually a given regardless of what you think of the other two.

I think they actually spawn both at the same time, when you enter the gymnasium, but the Deathclaw is so much closer that you tend to hear and see it first. I think in my first playthrough, I went up the stairs and to the pipe, and overheard the Synths shooting the Deathclaw rather than actually seeing either of them first.

Not really even turning it to low doesn't get rid of it just makes it less obvious, type gr off into your console and see the difference it makes. On Far Harbor it's most apparent because the god rays and the fog combine to make it twice as worse. It makes it less atmospheric but it gets rid of the edge aliasing.

I said I didn't want Freeside Open. Also it's not that I want aesthetic changes, I want content. More refugees, more locals, to actually bring home the idea that there is strife between NCR squatters and locals. Also maybe traffic heading into the Strip might be nice.

Basically, I want some of the additions in Freeside Open Uncut, but not necessarily the open/combined map cells. Both of them seem ambitious and potentially troublesome, and I like be conservative regarding stability when I mod, especially on something that requires save nuking to replace or restore.

Is it worth playing fallout 4 on survival?

I'm going to play the game through again, now that I've given it time and waited for all addons.

The main put-off is losing time. I don't want to have to redo the past 30 minutes because of stepping on a landmine

In addition to YUP and the standard 4gb/NVSE/NVSR/NVAC (and then the 3 fixes that YUP's page lists as needing NVSE) I'd say get Navmesh Fixes and Improvements, since a vanilla game is going to be able to make full use of the fixes.


I'd also recommend this guy's fixes and "NVSE Upgrades" that fix issues cased by the engine, but really we need a single file version that merges everything.

Anyone mind helping me out? I'm trying to get the NMM to work with F4SE but I don't know how to run them both at the same time. If I launch Fallout 4 through the NMM, F4SE doesn't load, and if I launch Fallout 4 through F4SE, I'm assuming the mods in NMM won't load either.

Haven't tried yet, but I meant more like an official merged version available on the nexus. The downside to /that/ I guess is just the few mods that have different versions of the plugins. One has an MCM menu though.

And let me know if you find out, I want a merged version of IWS with all the DLC patches. Bashed patch merges them easily, but if I don't actually have the plugins enabled I don't get the options. There's really no reason to not have a complete DLC merged version for anything, but I get IWS and NVCE didn't get that memo. Though I guess I can merge NVCE and just let MO take care of loading the archives.

The thing is, modern game music is inspired by motion picture cinematic scores. Since the ambient music is "simpler"/less melodically based, the player---instead of emotionally interpreting the music as something singular and separate---associates it more easily with the game. To "fill it out", so to speak. They flow more easily together when the music isn't a "complete package", in a way.

I love the For Auld Lang Syne quest in FNV. For me, the phrase wasn't just alluding to the glory of times past, but more the whole Courier's journey, finally culminating in meeting Ulysses and settling things with him.
Alongside all the wondrous and crazy things the courier experiences both before and throughout FNV and its DLCs, there was also my journey as a player through the Fallout series.

There was this moment when I---after having talked Ulysses out of his rastafari rage---sat down with him in the Divide's entrance (on that rock where he usually sits). Right before I headed off to the Dam to finish the game proper. Two couriers meeting at the story's end.

God damnit. I-... never sided with the brotherhood before now. I thought the ending was sure to have at least some merits.
But Liberty Prime, man.. I just can't deal with it. F3/NV/4 are way too visually realistic for something as tacky as Liberty Prime not to break the suspension of disbelief.
It might have worked (as a minor plot point at most) in F1 or F2, because the simpler graphics allows more things without breaking immersion.

But the whole concept of it, and the ridiculous lines it spouts all the time. I just can't deal. I just keep imagining this grand circlejerk of subjugated devs at Beth whooping and pounding their chests during some showreel

Hell yeah, it would fit great in OWB, for sure
...The great thing about OWB is how it changes the tone over such a consistent timeframe and space, making sure it doesn't clash with the rest of the game. It's this own little bubble of reality, which---ironically---makes it easier to accept that it's a part of the game world.

..But the instant you mix, say, one of the floating brainbots from OWB into a serious gunfight battle in the Mojave Wasteland proper, the differing tones would clash, jarring the player out of the immersion and ruining the ability to take NV seriously.
Kept appropriately separate, though? Works great. Damn, I loved OWB and its humor

I liked Liberty Prime in FO3, I never played BS or the DLCs for it though (so my Lone Wanderer died reactivating Project Purity). Liberty Prime for me seemed alright though, it was some stupid long shot superweapon type thing, made sense for the wierd pre-war assholes, and as an old relic superweapon made sense for Lyon's BoS to try to reacquire it for their use.

After putting a couple hundred hours into Fallout 4, I'm going back to NV for a while to cool off while waiting for new FO4 mods. Unfortunately returning to the Mojave made me realize just how limited and undesirable most of the body types available for it were (being completely spoiled by Bodyslide) so I decided to try creating my own modded body to suit my tastes, while also adapting a few outfits to it. I generally prefer the skintight look for vault suits, so here's what I'm working with for now. I similarly want to create some accessories that can be layered over it (hence the combat armor harness and cowboy belt, more to come soon).

Farming your own food might be fine, but the deathclaws and other unstoppable predators are going to fucking eat everything and keep multiplying. Unless the molerats multiply at a rate to keep the deathclaws and other predators amply fed, and the ecosystem stabilizes after a while, just differently. Thing is, Deathclaws are unstoppable Apex predators, and they're the size of Elephants, and have been seen as reproducing rapidly. That's a pretty gnarly situation for an ecosystem. A cougar or bobcat can get killed easily by bigger animals.

I'm not sure if there's a massive fucking creature in the oceans of Fallout that can eat Mirelurk queens whole or not, but I imagine they're probably one of the bigger predators of the ocean...unless seen otherwise. If they reproduced rapidly and ate everything, if left unchecked, they could empty the oceans. It might take them a long time to do so, though.

And Mole rats were supposedly (American or Chinese) attempts at biologically engineering invasive species designed to eat and reproduce a lot. Forgot where I read that, though. This also bugged me a lot about Cito's quest, there should have been way more gatorclaws all over Nuka world since that machine was pooping them out for so long.

That wouldn't last long. I guess the humans could either get by on just stuff they grow out of the ground, or the deathclaws would have to, in a weeks time or so, learn how to eat produce. The deathclaws would starve, and at that point the ecosystem may be so damaged the only meat left would be mirelurk or fish. Humans would have to leave inland and move to the beaches in huge quantities. They wouldn't be able to just eat vegetables forever. It would be a shitshow.

And this is assuming that deathclaws have utterly decimated everything on the continent to the point where it won't bounce back from 1 male and 1 female. I suppose they could use the Nuka World machine to 3D print about a few thousand cows and send them into the wild.

A: I set up my own quests. From using a bat to see how far a head would go or get like oh idk a shitton of c4 and put Veronica in some power armor and see how far she would go.

B: Fallout 4 it's shitty. sure it did some parts right but it's a big fuck up.

Besides you can use Survival Options to lower your own damage output anyway. the base game survival settings are 1.5x for you and 2.0x for enemies.

It's your game, do whatever you want. I personally just hate the aesthetic of piss poor raiders that can't tell their ass from their elbow all having modded f2000s and shit.

Raiders should get shitty AKs and M4/AR15s
Gunners have slightly better guns like ACRs, HK36s, etc.

It's honestly better to just not use it, or at least delete it's level lists. There's better versions for a lot of the more popular guns so spending a lot of time unfucking their level lists for them is just a waste when someone comes out with a proper WA 2000 model or something.

Plus you'd also need to remove the shitty modding system they've tacked on. Basically you'd need to rebuild the entire mod and the assets aren't remotely good enough to warrant that kind of work.

Who gives a shit? Have you gone through and made it so you can't craft mods for every weapon in the game except pipe guns as well? How about 90% of the shit you can plop down in the settlement workshop? It's inconsistent with the rest of the game all for MUH REALISTIC IMMERSION.

But alright, fine. You can have them be special snowflake guns and you can't make ACOGs out of duct tape, empty bottles and spit. But why is it a specific mod item required to make the mod? A system where you have tiered barrells/magazines/stocks etc. would be a lot less clunky.

They're not pristine though are they? The only pristine guns in the game are Institute weapons which makes sense most of the time. So where did they find these high tech modern guns? Did the army have them all sitting in a hermetically sealed warehouse? Same for all the tacticool attachments. Did they have a bunch of WW2 german tank gun just laying around too?

Yeah I do because generally most guns use a standard ammo caliber. It's not like FO4 only has four types of ammo named pistol ammo, rifle ammo, machine gun ammo, sniper ammo. Adding a bunch of extra shit for guns that really don't need it is the definition of bloat.
