If you like the theme of the run do it. That's why I did that run. ASS just does very little damage, it doesn't make the game that much harder. Fights only last longer. Four Kings can be tricky depending on the RNG you get.

The way the story/setting works in DeS and Bloodborne is very self-explanatory but there are deeper subtexts to both games' stories under the simple surface.

The level hub works also pretty much the same as DeS .

Although as far as the setting goes, DeS has more similarities with DaS3 than BB, with the way the player is guided with the story in BB is more reminiscent of DaS1.

the deep is "peaceful" abyss but the two are largely the same. apparently the abyss has stagnated over time the same way chaos has, settling into an entropic state comparable to a lake or ocean.

the abyss/deep is the same concept as chaos flame, but to clarify: when a soul becomes corrupt or "wild" it isn't just extending its influence on the environment, it is extending its influence onto -itself-, by which I mean a chaos soul will become "life", and an abyssal soul will become "dark".

as far as what this means, and the DLC is concerned, a piece of a great soul that has not fallen under the influence of the chaos/abyss essence, retains its stability and is a normal flame. you see this with pyromancies, and you will see this in regards to the dark come DLC2
