It gives bonus to fire damage, spearfall (which is a great skill) and a bonus when using the lion spirit which I use often.

Low stance always dodge back first.
Attack from behind and using a fire weapon will increase the damage quite wonderfully.

Use a fire spirity and grind the living weapon or just use spirit stones till you have it.
Pop Living weapon when she's at around half health and you can bring her down to about an quarter and inflict burn.

Normally you're right but it's Onryoki, his shit is easy to dodge. Only one that might give you a problem is his spin, but even then you can dodge back if you're far enough, run/dodge into his direction, or just eat the hit while blocking

Besides, don't act like not getting hit is impossible, or that it isn't what you should be aiming for anyway

Its insanely easy to dodge most attacks in this game unless you're being swarmed, in which case pop the living weapon.

Might wanna think about upgrading your gear before ya go in again. I found that was my problem through most of the NG+ I've gon through so far.

I was doing level 190 missions with basic ass non-upgraded gears and weapons.

If you spirit match a +1 with a +1 it makes a +2, and a +2 with another +2 makes a +3.

I don't know how high you can climb that upgrade chain but a dude with a +9 Kusarigama melt the twilight mission onryoki like he was a basic as yoki.
