When will this game get cute girls?
First for Blizzard rightfully rewarding old players/paying customers with free dust.
Freeloaders fuck off.
My sweet beautiful angel that did nothing wrong, my first legendary and first golden legendary no less, the card that I tried putting in every single deck, that has carried me through so many games and turned around so many unwinnable situations.
Rest in peace sweet angel. You were too good for this game. Your eternal brother Ragnaros will be missed as well.

/hsg/ "math is not that hard people" edition
>Gadgetzan Auctioneer was allowed to live.
So can someone fill me in on what's going on now? Are they cycling out Ragnaros and Sylvanas? I just recently crafted them since I was under the impression that Evergreen cards would permanently be in Standard...

I like how people are forgetting no more adventures which means no more guaranteed legendaries just because blizz is giving us a bunch of dust
Somehow Blizzard managed to outjew themselves each day
disenchant your rafaams, djinns and shit
craft golden sylvanas/rag for 3200 dust
get 3200 dust for free
sell the golden legend
brofit 1600 dust
>>168520510
they've being cycled into a "hall of fame" group that means they can only be played in wild (but might be cycled out in the future)

>Assuming anything in BrodeStone
The sylv and rag rotation was seen by a mile by most people anon
Since that Brode forum post at least tjat pretty much confirmed at least rag
So we went from 50% adventures to 33% adventures to 0% adventures.
I'm pretty sure I'm not buying anything from blizzard anymore.

>no adventures
>I missed that the first time
Oh goddamnit why. I know having more cards is good and all but goddamnit they were legitimately my favourite part of the game and I was really just hoping they'd fix the issue by doing the sensible thing and just do 1 full set, 2 3/4 sets, and 2 adventures every year.

I'm actually surprised and extremely happy that Thalnos doesn't rotate out. My favorite lego and first lego craft.

Oh okay, thanks. That kinda sucks though. I don't play Wild since I'm lacking most of the good cards and I'd have to buy like $200 in packs to get the dust to craft Wild shit on top of needing to craft relevant epics and legendaries for Standard
Free dust is nice for the next booster pack expansion I guess? Only it's not free if I crafted them for Standard and now can't play them in Standard...!
>>168520554
wait what
how
Up to the maximum number of cards you could put in a deck, we will give you the full dust value of any cards you have that are being added to the Hall of Fame set. (Yes, that means if you have at least one Golden Ragnaros, you'll get 3200 dust!) The dust will be automatically awarded upon log-in once the Year of the Mammoth begins.
HOLD UP I'M CRAFTING EVERYTHING GOLDEN.
JESUS FUCKING CHRIST
>>168520278
Does Blizzard even play this game?
Azure Drake is an autoinclude because the card draw in this game is garbage and because the other 5 mana neutrals are garbage. If they think people will play that garbage at as alternative think again, it will not be replaced by another 5 mana card.
Sylvanas? Nobody but Renolock even plays Sylvanas anymore because it's too fucking slow, only Reno can flame it/PO it to actually get a result from it.
Ragnaros? You know why people play it? It's the only high mana minion besides fucking Deathwing that actually has an effect the turn you play. Now it's a bad design of a card because that effect is both powerful and RNG dependent so you literally win or lose games on a coin flip, but if Blizzard thinks this will encourage people to play the "dozens of other" 8 drops in the game they're insane. Those dozens of cards are unplayable trash.
And the logic of how destroying a deck (Freeze Mage) will create "more variety" is unbelievable. Freeze Mage is not and has not been the dominant or even a good Mage deck in years. It's a marginal deck that was going to be crippled by emperor anyway. There will be fewer mage options in the next standard cycle guaranteed, just like how warlock went from 3 decks to 1.
>>168520942
I don't know anon, 8-mana 8/8 with Charge and Immune while attacking is pretty good, don't you think?

>>168520509
they got rid of conceal tho
>Blizzard gave Rogue six (6) stealth related minions this expansion to try and push a stealth archetype (which failed, just like their burgle archetype before that and their deathrattle archetype before that)
>Get rid of conceal the next expansion
What is Blizzard thinking? Also:
>Give Priest an insanely overpowered dragon card to finally push dragon priest into viability
>Standard rotation was already going to kill off its early dragon minions, and now it loses azure drake
Man, these refunds are not enough. I spent a lot of dust making my freeze mage deck. I knew losing Emperor and Torch would limit it in the next meta, but losing Ice Lance will break it. I just hope all the other cards I crafted for the deck are useful in the next meta.
Given the annoucements they made last year about rotation, I assumed they'd at least stick to their word for the first rotation. This is a huge let down to me.

LoE was a fluke, not the rule.
Kara has been a disaster. Adventures are hardly worth it when most cards are shit and wings are locked one behind another so you can't just get the good wings.

>>168521582
>he only has 5k dust

>>168521795
Why didn't they just make other 5 drops that would be competitive with it?
>>168521774
Idiot redditors complained about it because they think a card being in a lot of decks=OP.
They're gobbling this announcement up completely, Blizzard has won.
>>168521871

>>168521845
because it was a good filler card. the card draw added consistency and it has pretty good stats. nothing game breaking
>>168521719
Karazhan
Straight up good cards
-Firelands Portal
-Ivory Knight
-Cloaked Huntress (yes Pally and Hunter are shit but these are good cards)
-Maelstrom Portal
-Barnes
-Swashburglar
-Kindly Grandma
-Spirit Claws
-Netherspite Historian
-Cat Trick
-Babbling book
-Malch Imp
Usable
-Priest of the feast
-Valet
-Book Wyrm
-Medivh
-Curator
-Arcane Giant
I can spend 20 bucks in packs and I'll only get straight up garbage. And this was one of the worst expansions card-quality wise, LoE and BRM all had a shit ton of meta-defining cards.
>Auctioneer didn't get nerfed or cycled
It's like they think that Jade Druids going infinite and totally invalidating slow/Control archetypes and deck Fatigue is okay
Miracle can probably still asspull wins but it'll be harder to play Solitaire then Conceal.
>>168521956
That's correct
>>168522048
>Barens
>good
Meme aside, that's nothing but rare and common cards with Curator and Arcane Giant being legendary and epic.
>>168520807
Don't forget the next rotation is also killing Renofags and Dragoncucks
>>168521871
So I craft golden rag, get 3200 dust, disenchant him for additional 1600. Is that correct?
>>168522048
medivh might become better now that the better 8 drop legendary rotates out
>>168522250
he probably won't be dustable after they move him in the hall of fame.

>>168522189

>>168522321
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
>>168522312
> he probably won't be dustable
I dunno, current Reward set is dustable.
>>168522250
Yes, but dissenchant him first, before the year of the Mammoth changes kick in. You only get the full value refund that way.
>>168522296
>medivh might become better now that the better 8 drop legendary rotates out
Not playing Rag doesnt mean a deck wants to play Mediv
>>168522250
You won't earn anything extra over just owning a regular that you didn't craft.
>>168522154
Barnes is fine on any deck that can meme high roll anything, which aren't the current ones, but they exist.
Also there was only one epic in Karazhan, and that's 3/5 legendaries being good to usable. Medivh is used on a top 3 deck right now in fact.
>For the Year of the Mammoth, our release cycle will include a ~130 card expansion at the start of the year, a ~130 card expansion in the middle of the year, and another ~130 card expansion at the end of the year.
oh my fucking god they went full Jew. BUY THOSE PACKS, GOYIM.
(Also this fucks newer players who want to do Wild even more since they'll have to buy current packs in the store to disenchant in order to craft pivotal Naxx, GvG, TGT, LoE, AND BrM cards hahahahahaha)

>>168522551

>>168522445
no shit!
>>168522709
If Naxx is anything to fo by, yes.
>>168522501
Medivh was used for an extremely short time until people started saving their Ooze for him. He will never see play once Reno rotates out.
2 out of the 5 legendary cards see extremely limited use, never in competitive decks.
1 out epic sees extremely limited use.
>>168522709
Yes. I had the first wing of Naxxramas and I can still buy the rest of it if I want to.
>>168522048
Fucking this
Everyone's so quick to stick to their pre-Kara notions because Shaman stayed good, but Karazhan brought a shitton of huge game-changing cards to the meta.
Barnes was so good he was seeing play in Midrange Shaman for godsakes.
>>168522720
Even if they are the result dustwise is the same.
The only difference is if you want your rag and sylv golden or not.
Some anon did the math last thread just get it there.
So, they killed Miracle Rogue the only Deck that I have fun play.
Thank you blizzard.
Question, If I use my dust to create Ragnaros then I get 1600 Dust for free after can I dust Ragnaros for additional 400 dusts ?
>>168522631
They said they were going to support Wild more this year. I'm pretty sure they'll add Wild packs.
>>168522709
That's correct.
>>168522720
That's just one faggot making baseless claims. Such a change would be completely off the norm. Look at Old'Murkeye he is in a special wild set and dustable. They said nothing like that in the article so he's full of shit.
>>168522770
1 out of 1 epic was also the cornerstone of the best deck pre-MSoG. You can't really judge Karazhan's strength taking into account MSoG because MSoG is one of the most fucking broken sets so far.
The dragon warrior variant uses Curator for draw and it's fine.
Medivh is fine.
Barnes is good. Shit it's like everybody forgot already about Hunter rolling Savannah on Barnes.
>>168522883
>So, they killed Miracle Rogue the only Deck that I have fun play.
Man, what a shame, and you only had 4 years to play with it
>>168522767
>>168522808
>>168522889
Thanks anons
the higher ups must be looking at their finances to cause zeriyah to post and interact so much
>rich get richer
this also means that people in top and medium spots will have an easy time going full meta, meaning there will be a ton of full meta steamrolling around which makes the pay wall 10 feet higher
huge problem
on top of that not only do they get things now, with a decent dust haul you can go through a very efficient expansion by crafting the stuff you need to complete a working set and then stopping to save up for the next one, they will be able to save up a lot more than a player who desperately needs to open as many packs as possible
with the lack of an adventure at any point the following goes away, drop 20 or 2800g on an adventure and youre done, this gives a clear 100% of the new cards and you can either continue with the previous set or save up for the next, this is a nice interim/catch up period.
now that its expansion only, there wont be such a moment, everyone overall becomes much more enslaved to having to open as many packs as possible with no end in sight
i see nothing that is actually meaningful to me in regards to the economy, better dust ratios, more gold, cheaper packs, more pack giveaways, better grind. let alone any of this to offset how fucking insane jew all these factors above coming together are gonna be
these are just economy things, you can have a great economy and players have fun and are able to collect honestly and so forth to play the game (which i think is a huge issue atm that the barrier to play is so high, i think hs view numbers are pretty good in part because many people simply cant spend to enjoy playing it themselves)
but then even with good eco the game that is left will still have the card printing and balancing issue, on which they are simply full retard for now. the whole set rotation and even classic ones rotation plays into that a lot too
>>168523082
Yeah and in this 4 years Rogue had a lot of Decks to use!
So if I craft Ragnaros now I will get 1600 Dust and then I can shard him for extra 400 ?
so we all agree these changes were shit all across the board
>>168523651
I'm disappointed that Conceal has gone, I didn't think it was a troublesome card.
>>168523651
tard
>people on reddit saying 3 expansions per year is okay because even though you need to spend way more fucking money on packs/dust for cards, we needed more cards in the rotation
>because team 5 couldn't have just made a $30 adventure with 150 cards
what the fuck. $20 for guaranteed cards vs $50/40 packs to gamble on pulling good shit and dusting everything bad to hopefully get enough dust to craft the necessary meta stuff without needing to buy even MORE packs to gamble/disenchant is awful
blizz has gone FULL JEW. game's dead in a year.
>>168523651
I mean the quality-of-life stuff and the roadmap are all good, the card changes seem stupid on paper but if they actually produce a good expansion then it won't matter as much
Really getting punished for their spell heavy hunter deck, if you go control buster you generally include more minions
>>168523306
the order is a bit wrong ill rephrase to be clear
>people get easy dusts to fill up and complete an easy expansion surely
>plenty can gain from this and now lots more strong meta decks are running around making the wall for a new player really though, you are either in deep or you are fucked
>no simple adventure period allowing people to either catch up on previous or save up for next
>no real economy changes that make it better for players to earn the amounts they need to play
>balancing is still problematic and with rotations and pushing towards getting new expansions more it can easily be more issue ridden
>still playing kikestone in 2017
>>168523742
It kind of fits all the problems with Rogue tho
>can't remove because lol no inconditional clears except for lock
>triggers auctioneer
>stealthed auctioneer means next turn is going to be retarded
>>168523791
>but if they actually produce a good expansion
This is really the test of it. If we'd gotten some good Rogue weapon stuff then Blade Flurry nerf would have been fine
>>168523742
>I didn't think it was a troublesome card
>Was auto-win against some-classes and promoted non-interactive games
Yeah, sure
>>168523651
the cards rotated will have powercreeped versions this expansion :^)
Correct me if I'm wrong, but is there literally no reason not to craft golden Azure Drakes, conceals, etc?
I mean, if you're getting the full amount of dust back in a month or so, why not?
>>168523651
None of the cards were really crazy that makes you win the game by itself. Sure rag is strong, but it hasnt been auto include to everything for a long time. Sylvi is used rarely. Conceal I just dont understand. Freeze mage is annoying as fuck to play against but ice lance isnt even close to being problematic.
New expansion will bring new OP shit anyway so everyone will forget about these changes soon enough.
>>168524051
That the question I am asking myself.
>people don't understand what hall of fame means as opposed to the trash bin
>nerfing STB
>aggro paladin no longer playable (he wasn't viable before, but he was playable)
>only expensive Reno or Jade decks have a chance at doing anything
This is the future you chose, buy more packs.
>>168524051
There's only no reason to craft them if you already have 2x of each. So, if you have two Golden Conceals, you're not getting the full dust for the third, fourth and so on card.
New to this game. So I just disenchant all the cards that I don't need for dust so I can build decks that I want? Is that the way forward? Or do I keep spending money buying shitty packs?
So, do i buy like 20-30 packs of classic and pray for golden rago\silvo?
>>168524252
Hall of fame means that you can ban cards for a period and then pull them out.
>>168524343
Just paly fucking Gwent.
>>168524306
So do we get dust refunds for 2x standard and 2x golden Drakes? Or would it just be the golden ones?
>>168524051
Have they confirmed that they're moving those cards (or all classic cards) to wild?
>>168523769
what's great is that we'll get more pack filler and most likely the same amount of quality cards an adventure would have given. full jew indeed
>oh you spent dust on those ever green classic cards?
>into the trash they go
Man, if I was still playing I would be mad.
>>168524170

>>168524389

Dude, don't play this game.
It's not worth it.
Fuck this. RIP Freeze Mage. Literally nothing wrong with it, it's exactly what a combo deck should be. Maybe we get lucky and it survives without ice lance, but I doubt it.
Kind of pissed about this Hall of Fame shit and the dust refund is not enough. The dust I get for two ice lances does not match the dust I spent making freeze mage.
>>168524306
So there's no drawback to crafting them if I've just got non-golden versions of them, eh?
Neato, I might as well do that then.
>>168524592
Look at the bright side, you won't have to try anymore
>>168524441
You'll get the dust for 2x Regular and 2x Golden versions of the card, plus you get to keep the cards after they rotate to Wild, so you can additionally dust them for whatever value, depending onthe rarity.
>>168524647

>>168524495
I'll probably never know that. I am too lazy and not that invested in the game.
>>168524610
Why? I've already spent some money on packs.
JESUS FUCK YOU GUYS ARE DUMB
YOU GET DUST REFUNDS FOR THE HIGHEST QUALITY OF THE CARD UP TO AS MANY COPIES AS YOU CAN GET IN A DECK
EXAMPLE
YOU HAVE 2X GOLDEN DRAKES AND 2X NORMAL
YOU GET DUST BACK FOR 2 GOLDEN DRAKES
YOU HAVE 1X GOLDEN DRAKE AND 3X NORMAL
YOU GET DUST BACK FOR 1 GOLDEN DRAKE AND 1 NORMAL
OBVIOUSLY SINCE FUCKING LEGENDARIES ARE 1-OF YOU CAN ONLY GET DUST BACK FOR ONE
Time to panic craft golden rag/sylvanas
6400 dust investment now, get 6400 back + 3200 from disenchanting them

Wrong
Level 5 reached max retard level.
Hey kid you know tha basic set we give you so that you could have a nice collection of good Core cards ?
Yep those cards are so good in being core that we take it away from you.
At this point Level 5 could save themself only making Basic and Classic free for everyone.
This changes are so retarded and they conflict so much with the concept that I start to think they have a Cthunian Logic.
I'm ready
>>168524704
Stop spreading misinformation. If you have 2 golden and 2 normal versions, you only get the dust for the 2 golden.
If you have 1 golden and one normal lego, you only get the dust for the 1 golden.
>>168524704
You dont get dust for the regular ones if you have them golden
>>168524990
>tfw 1200 dust short of being able to craft a golden version of either of them

>>168525119
>>168525145
Oops, sorry.
So, now they're going to be releasing only 3 expansions a year instead of 4? This game is dead and Blizzard knows it.
>>168524990
Or spend nothing and just get 3200 from the regular ones
>>168525119
He's saying you can just disenchant the NON-GOLDEN you have left for additional dust.
>>168524997
Why are people even wondering this. Nobody said you cant disenchant them
Will the classic set get new Mage, Rogue and Warlock cards? Seems like bull shit for these classes to lose a card.
>>168525237
You're forgetting every expansion now has card packs, be sure to buy that $60 preorder for the "best value" goy
>>168525305
And not get free golden cards + dust :^) you're a retard.
There is 0 reason not to craft everything golden. If you wanted to go the poorfag route you could just dust the goldens afterwards.
If you want just ONE golden legendary you just got it for free completely.
>>168523651
Apart from azure drake it seems alright
Without those decks become inconsistent with draws and low to more aggressive decks who don't rely on drawing so much
>nerf molten
>rotate reno
>rotate fucking power overwhelming
Let me guess, they'll give warlock no viable class cards in the next expansion either because muh hero power.
Elise or rag?
>>168524609
Don't forget based tomb man rotating. No reason to try to keep playing the deck in standard.
Don't worry I'm sure you will enjoy the epic new rogue theme in the next expansion, just buy some packs.if I play this game at all it'll be in wild
>>168525434
I dont want a free wild card.
I dont carw for the gold.
If the result is the same then im ok with the regular ones.
You can post your math if you want. At least it will help people understand

dust bad cards in your collection, also small time buccaneer will be worth 100 dust when nerfed
so my friend who started playing a couple weeks ago has like no dust and wont be able to do anything while i will get at least either 2 golden wild legendaries or 2 free standard legendaries of my choice
the fuck man thats so fucking stupid
and you can say veterans need to get stuff, sure but what id like to see is for everyone to get stuff, so while i get 2 my friend gets 2 as well
2 for him is also a lot more valuable than 2 for me
God you guys are retarded. So retarded that you can't do basic math.
You're at 0 dust.
You craft golden Ragnaros. You're at -3200 dust.
Rotation happens and you get 3200 dust. You're at 0 dust.
You disenchant your Golden Ragnaros. You're at +1600 dust.
You disenchant your regular Ragnaros. You're at +2000 dust.
Final state is +2000 dust.
You're at 0 dust.
Rotation happens and you get 1600 for your regular Ragnaros. You're at +1600.
You disenchant your regular Ragnaros. You're at +2000 dust.
Final state is +2000 dust.
If you have a regular version of the legendary, you can't profit from this deal at all by crafting a golden version. If you don't have a any version, then you can profit 1600 dust by crafting the golden version or 400 dust by crafting a regular version.

This game is basically for whales now like pic related.
Why else would they change it to three yearly expansions? Now instead of having on set where you spend $20 for a full set of adventure cards while saving gold for the next expansion you have to drop at least $50 per xpac on to of gold to get all of the necessary meta cards. Or say you have enough gold now stocked to buy 50-100 packs of Un'Goro, then what? You have 4 months to save up more gold and if you quit for a few weeks/months, don't log in every three days and reroll cheap quests for maximum gold and/or don't get everything you need then you'll need to shell out $$$ for the next expansion.
(also this guy is a retard because he's making 0 profit. the point is that he's an example of someone who probably sunk a shitload of money into the game in order to have that much dust sitting around and will probably spend $100+ on each future booster pack expansion)
So let's say you have a regular Sylvanas.
If you craft a golden one for 3200 and get a full dust refund, then disenchant it your profit is basically 1600 dust right? What if they make Hall of Fame cards non-disenchantable to prevent this kind of abuse?
>>168526364
You literally have an option for dusting the golden one foe + 1600 on your post anon.
If i want +1600 all i have to do is nothing and i keep my non golden and get them
>>168526504
handlock is the most patrician deck this game has ever had
>>168526481
you only get dust for 1gold OR normal
>>168526521
I doubt it because otherwise how would people who don't already own the cards get them, they can craft them but not disenchant? Doesn't sound right
>>168526540
Because you still have the non-golden one. These cards have been staples for 3 fucking years, it's safe to assume you have a regular one.
Not owning ragnaros or sylvanas are out of the norm.
So I don't have sylvanas. If I craft her, I'll get the gold back, so it's a free card?
Almost tempted to do this, I do like wild more than standard. Less competitive, more variety.
>/hsg/ isn't talking about what the changes might mean for the game, just arguing over how much dust they get if they craft cards
wew
>>168526235
this is the best
do one for 0 rag and you sorted it all out
>>168526521

I mean with all the gold and disenchanting other cards a new player will probably be able to craft a cheap midrange/aggro deck (minus the legendary like patches) faster now than when the game released. I remember when i was playing zoo i didn't even have doomguards until i found them in packs much later and those were only rare

Though that is kinda crazy, if you have enough dust to craft either or both (3200 or 6400), there's a 1600/3200 profit with literally no downside.
Nicely done Blizzard. Completely outjewed yourselves and the whole of reddit is giving you thunderous applause. I had to scroll forever to even find a mention that you're increasing the yearly cost of the game tenfold,,and effectively destroyed the ability to farm enough gold between expansions.
>>168526861
Just read the thread and you will see how dumb people can get

>Post yfw Year of the Mammoth
What do yall think of the year of the Mammoth changes?
I like them and will probably start playing again once they roll out.
Still frustrated it takes them so long to do things and their rational is shit "we don't want to confuse new players!" and least now we know the real reason though, they're slow to make changes cause their engine is shit and they have to make people re download the whole thing. Hopefully their working on fixing that since that seems to be the real core of hearthstone's problems, shitty coding.
>>168526921
>tenfold
the yearly adventure got changed into an adventure
it's an increase of like $30 assuming you buy everything with money ($50 for each xpac, $20 for adventures)
Hello
I've been playing Gwent for a whole have found that I love card games so I've decided to give hearthstone a try. What are some beginner tips/decks a newcomer like me should know
>>168527049
Craft a golden Ragnaros
>>168527049
You might want to wait for the year of the mammoth to start
>>168521802
Exactly.
>>168527049
Here's a tip: don't play Hearthstone
>>168526901
Anon if you own them and spend nothing you will get 3200 dust too
The difference is having a shiny plaything for wild or not
>>168526692
Have 1 Ragnaros
1. Don't do anything, get free +1600
2. Craft golden and dust it, get free +1600
3. Keep golden and dust old one, get free golden ragnaros + 400 dust
4. Keep both versions, get free golden ragnaros
Have 0 Ragnaros
1. Craft normal Ragnaros and keep it, get free normal Ragnaros
2. Dust normal Ragnaros, get +400 dust
3. Craft golden Ragnaros and keep it, get free golden Ragnaros
4. Dust golden Ragnaros, get +1600 dust
>>168527049
play aggro and aggro only for the first year unless you spend mad cash
also it will be a lot easier to start in a 2 months or so when the new expansion drops but there's nothing that says you can't get it now
>>168526984
>>168526520
yea i really dont like that change, i think its the most telling and the biggest move to more greed on their part
i can back up your example with an anecdote, i came back after a while so i didnt have gold saved, i did a pre order once and it was so disappointing, i thought i would finally be able to get to play stuff, so many commons, so many dupes, so many cards still missing, horrible legendaries
that 50 buck mark its really not even realistic to me, maybe if you pair it with all the gold from having played then i can kinda accept it, but then also the rng from packs and the insane crafting ratios plus all the shitty cards
with this 3 expansion thing it really gets totally out of hand money wise
so i like your point about when you fall off the wagon at any point you are so behind that you will be forced to spend real money to catch up and not just a little but a lot
ofc thats very bad i think for allowing people to play
>>168527186
I mean, I'd rather just craft both gold legendaries now, and later disenchant both for 3200 dust and just play Wild with the normal versions.
I like shinies too, but 3200 dust man.
>>168526901
>Unless Brode goes back on his word,
His word ain't worth this.
Also if >>168526728 is to be believed then crafting the golden one will get you 1600 profit if you disenchant afterwards, but you get the same amount of dust for not doing anything if you already own a regular one.
lol all anyone wants to talk about is maximizing dust. it's like you guys don't already have all the good cards anyways.
>Have both leggies and two gold POs and others
>4,5k free dust
I like it, I dont mind playing Freeze in wild desu
>>168527465

>>168527196

>>168526521
You start with Regular Sylvanas
You Craft Golden Sylv: -3200 dust
Rotation Happens. You get dust back for the Golden Sylv: +3200 dust
You dust Golden: +1600 dust
You keep the Regular to play in Wild.
Total: 4800 dust. You make 1600 "profit".
OR
You have Regular Sylvanas. You do nothing. Rotation happens. You get +1600 dust. You made 1600 for doing nothing.
OR
You have regular Sylvanas and enough dust to craft a Golden one, so 3200 dust. You do nothing. Rotation happens. You get +1600 dust, for a total 4800 if you saved you original dust.
>>168527037
>the yearly adventure got changed into an adventure
it's an increase of like $30 assuming you buy everything with money ($50 for each xpac, $20 for adventures)
$50 worth of packs does not guarantee anything, it's more like $300 to complete a set

>>168527591

>>168527882
yes see
>>168527845
you won't get the dust until the new expansion drops and by then there's plenty of shit you'll want to craft
>>168527882
Oh nono
It will only happen with either Rag or Sylvanas since those are discussed about
>>168527651
I don't put any money into this game because its a piece of shit and I'm happy as fuck with this. I generally get 50 packs with gold for expansions and sure, I don't get much, but adventures are fucking nothing, the single player content is abysmal and 45 cards might as well be nothing.
As a card game player, the more the cards, the better
>>168527591
So if you already have normal Rag and Sylvanas, there's no insentive to craft golden versions?
Either way you'd end up with +1600 dust, right?
>>168527819
it could be but probably isn't, lots of rng
also you are assuming both a stash of gold and dust, where does that come from?
what will happen next expansion when you deplete it on this one? it's gonna run empty because its extremely unfavorable
and the argument that if you stop gaining gold and packs and dust from playing at any point will set you back, you also know that your argument only holds for a very active player.
a player who took a break will be looking at having to make up for that gold and dust you speak off with another 50 or maybe another 100
compare that to 20 for an adventure and 100% of the cards no matter what or when you get it
>>168528068
unless you want cheap (1200 dust) upgrade to gold there isn't
Please make this the next OP.
>>168527882
It's fucking obvious, jesus christ.
You get TWO refund slots on cards with 2 copies available.
1. Have 2 golden versions, get 2 golden refunded
2. Have ONLY 2 normals, get 2 normals refunded
3. Have 1 golden, 1 normal, get one golden and one normal refunded.
Cmon basic logic.
So if you have 2 golden you get 2 golden refunds. If you have 2 normals only you get 2 normals. If you get
>>168528105
my dust pile has only been getting larger as time goes on I don't mind having something to spend it on
either case you're right it's a bit more expensive but I think it's still a great change to get more cards every year
>standard packs getting worse and worse
when will they end?
>>168528149
next expansion = 5mana 4/4 spellpower, draw a card legendary in murloc beast and pirate form
>>168527672
congrats on your 100 dust
>>168528068
Yes there is an incentive.
1. If you plan to use the golden version OR just like the collection value it gives you a 3200 dust 'value'
2. You can dust the non-golden version to end up 400 dust higher than not crafting a golden version
3. If you ever decide you didn't care about it, you can dust it to end up with no loss for going the golden route whatsoever. If you didn't dust the non-golden version yet.
>>168527672
Why didnt you wait until the last day to craft them incase you get it in a pack
>>168528306

>>168528306

>>168528332

>>168528306
I lost 100 dust on each
but that's okay since I like muh bling and play wild
Hearthstone will soon have ZERO (0) combo decks.
>>168528281
sure i can agree with that especially if they make cool cards
but keep in mind 3 expansions vs 2 and 1 adventure, thats about 90 more cards
a big problem with the game is how greedy it is and how hard it is to get into and its impossible to be able to play/grind a bunch to earn stuff
we move away even further from that like this and what i find most important is that we move closer and make that whole experience better

>>168527307
Yeah it's pretty much greedy jewish antics.
Like you, I quit playing for a while. Like half a year or longer. I came back for MSoG. Didn't really have much gold so I dropped $50 on packs. Got PLENTY of dupes
(like 9x commons), got lots of awful shit and a few packs refunded for the day 1 glitch. STILL ended up needing to craft Aya, Kazakus, and almost all the necessary Epics which required buying more packs with cash and gold as I did my dailies. Now I have 0 gold and 0 dust (still needed to craft some Classic Epics and Legendaries) so if I don't take another break I should have around 2500 gold if the xpac drops around the second week of April. That enough for 25 packs which means I'll need to buy more packs if I want to have all the good shit. And from now on, if I ever take a break from the game for a month or two or even longer I'll never have enough gold to float over expansions so I'd have to continually spend more than $20 (cost of one adventure) per expansion.
I don't know if I'll keep playing after Un'Goro because $150+/yr every year on a "Free" game (and you can't even complete any expansion set without spending more) with no way to get even half much shit as IAP players is shit.

This is objectively wrong and I don't know what makes you think that.
1. Do nothing, get 1600 dust for free.
End result, 1 playable copy of the card.
2. Craft golden version, get 1600 dust for free if you dust it. AND the choice to dust the old version for 1600+400 because you have 2 playable copies, AND the choice to just keep the golden version to dust at any moment if you decide you wanted to go with the +1600 route.

The GvG and Naxx cards are way stronger than anything in the current rotation and it's just way fucking expensive since you have to craft everything with dust.

>>168529609
oh my FUCKING GOD HOW CAN SO MANY PEOPLE BE THIS RETARDED AT SIMPLE ADDITION AND SUBTRACTION
1. if you have normal sylv and do nothing come rotation you get 1600 dust. 1600 profit. you can then use her in Wild.
2. if you craft a golden sylv (costs 3200) you will get 3200 dust, making back what you spent to craft her. then you can dust her for 1600 dust. 1600 profit.
OR do #2, you get 3200 dust making back when you spent and you get to play golden sylv in Wild for a zero dust profit. your choice.
So if I have 3k dust lying around right now, but I don't have Rag or Sylv, does that mean I can craft them for free?
>>168530184

As many of us mentioned, it's okay to do it if you want the golden version. That's the real reason why anyone who crafts a golden one should do it.
But you can't actually make any profit with that move compared to just having a regular version.

Ben already answer that question. You can dust them.
>>168530975
If you dust a golden lego you get 1600 dust. So you need another 1600 dust to craft a golden Sylvanas.
Then you get 3200 after the rotation and end up on 0 with a golden Sylvanas. You can then craft the golden lego and dust golden Sylvanas for 1600.
So you end up with the golden lego and 1600 which was your starting position. I don't see any reason why you would actually do this.

Of course they'd announce it. But that's not today. And it's not moot, they can change their minds. People change their minds all the time. Especially companies. Especially Blizzard.
They have two choices: let people invest now to make free extra dust just because of the way their system works, and choose not to care. Or they can choose to care, change their mind, and then change how the system works. I don't know what they'll do, but it seems like a stupid way to make free dust.
Either way, anyone would be silly to make the cards now (and I'm not saying you were doing this; I'm just speaking in general). You could get one of the cards from a pack, and they could change their mind on how it works. Neither would be a good scenario for someone that does it now.

that's what was supposed to happen with MSG
goons - aggro
jade - midrange
kabal - control/combo
goons>jade>kabal>goons
Of course it didn't work because the new mechanics themselves are unbalanced with goons being complete garbage and basically replaced by pirates. Also, Blizzard forgot about all the degenerate cards already present in the game, especially those they've been giving shaman for the last three expansions.
So let me get this straight... whether I have a normal card or not, I should craft a golden (1 for lego, pair for others) and then I'll get full dust refund with the option to disenchant it at usual rate and make a profit? But only make goldens because only one type is refunded with gold taking precedent?

>tfw waste all my dust to craft white eyes because I wanted to have """""fun""""""
Please tell me there is a viable deck White-Eyes works in. N'Zoth Shaman is easily defeated by Reno. Against Jade, I need god tier draw, which almost never happens. It's surprisingly good against Pirate Warrior, but I've been seeing less and less of them with each day.
If there is no good deck for White-Eyes, then please teach me how to stop caring about fun and to just netdeck like a soulless robot.

Actually craft everything
Craft a Normal Rag+ Golden Rag
Normal+Golden of everything
That sounds about right?
400 to craft golden common (8 regular per craft 50 dust each)
800 to craft golden rare (8 regular per craft 100 dust each)
3200 to craft golden lego (2 regular per craft 1600 dust each)
It's best to invest in both legendary's first to get more dust value out of them because they don't scale by 8 like commons, rares and epics do
After that it you should invest in commons, the dust per card value with rares is still the same but on a higher dust level so it's worth it to get the commons before hand.

Don't forget Shadowverse packs are like 8 cards and you get like 4 rares per pack on average. On top of getting around 150 gold per day.

>>168539476
that doesn't work if you already have the cards though which is the problem

>>168539476
Assuming you don't have any of those cards.
To craft them you need the numbers you wrote + 800 for Power Overwhelming.
So 10600 dust to get all that.
You get then 10600 dust and keep those cards meaning your netgain is 0.
If youd ecide to disenchant them you gain 1600+1600+200+100+100+100 = 3700 dust profit.
However, if you have all them in a non-golden form right now you gain.
1600 + 1600 + 200 + 80 + 80 + 80 = 3640.
As you can see by the match, if you want actual profit, you only need to craft the golden common cards since they are the only cards where disenchanting golden gives you net gain over the full value of a non-golden. Golden commons give you 50 dust when disenchanted, while a full dust refund of a non-golden gives you 40. You get 10 dust for every common.
If you craft golden rare or legendary cards that you already have in non-golden form, you gain absolutely no profit at all since dusting golden cards gives you the same amount as a full refund of the non-golden.
If you have dust to spare and want profit (dust), then you need 2400 dust for 6 golden common cards and you make a miserable 60 dust profit.
>>168540087
if you have none of those cards that works
you come out even for every card you do have compared to doing nothing
>>168539879
Ah alright, I submitted some neutral music but I might go look for something more /hsg/
Thinking about making a very lazily made EU/US tournament image and using it as the OP of the next general. But I'm a lazy cunt so who knows.
>>168540140
Shit I forgot about the POs
>>168539994
Obviously the 4 people who test the cards saw no issue.
This trinity series thing is fun as shit.

>>168540052
I've yet to have any fun with it and I usually love brawls. Best you can do is play Mage, fill your deck with damage and draw then burst the face or play Aggro Shaman with two copies of Lava Shock.
>>168540137
Because you talk like you just started the game 5 minutes ago and you're talking in /hsg/. If you still can't evaluate basic card choices by now then theres something wrong with your brain m8
>>168540225
Literally put some text over a generic HS image and add the /hsg/ logo. I'd do it myself but I've got to run.
>>168540267
For me the saddest part.
RIP Zoo. Any chance of it ever being relevant even after Maelstrom Portal rotates out is dead.
Best deck in the game for learning the game and getting better at it.

Before you go, does the EU tourney have the same prize as NA? I'll assume so.
For fucks' sake, does someone know the date the move to mammoth year happens? I can't find the date in that damn article.
>>168540497
Mage is playable as well.
I love putting counter spell and spell bender on turn one. Most paladins insta concede if their spells get denied.

Hearthstone has taught me that unless you're fundecking, there is AN optimal build.
Shadowverse also has low mana cards that would be complete and utter trash in Hearthstone that are being played in the meta (2 mana 2/2 taunt comes to mind), whilst most of the 7+ cards are BETTER than Hearthstone's. Look at Mordecai. Look at Bahamut.
>>168538493
Can I just put some anime music or what ?
>>168540734
>Hearthstone has taught me that unless you're fundecking, there is AN optimal build.
Literally all TCGs and CCGs. It's just the nature of the genre and how math in general works.

Does this sound about right? Or have I missed something?

It's been like this for hours, even logged out and in again.
Cannot even start a game.
Are the servers acting up again?
>>168539876
There you go. It's pretty bad, but pulling off shit like barnes->earth elemental/white eyes->ancestral spirit is worth it.
I used to run shit like 4 mana 7/7, faceless manipulator and faceless shambler for maximum grinder shaman memes, but it was waaaaayyy too fucking greedy so I put in trogg and totem golem.
Removing sentinel and putting in stormcrack might also be a good choice. The deck lacks a bit of removal.
>>168539797
Because I felt like it. I like playing reno decks because you can put in some of the less played cards from a class and make the deck a bit more greedy since you can come back against aggro with reno. I used to play a ton of reno warrior during old gods.
so adventures are kill?
it's just expansions now, with adventures being optional, single player content?
>>168541350
adventures didnt make them enough money
this is how we know hearthstone is on its death bed, they are trying to squeeze as much money from players before the game flat out dies
>>168541438
>>168541350
adventures are a lot of work senpai. brode doesn't want to get burn out so they release 130 card expansions full of filler instead and now brode can spend 300 days a year on vacation instead of 250

Thank god I'm done dusting cards to craft the golden ones. I was seriously running out of absolute garbage cards that will never get touched again or have no potential to become involved in the future.

reno
refreshment vendor
mistress of mixtures
2 of those are rotating out
while mistress is good it's not good enough to compensate alone, we're gonna need some new heals
>>168541350
It makes sense, with adventures you spend 20 bucks and you get ALL the cards
With expansions you spend at least 10 times as much to even get a functional collection that WILL miss some vital cards that you'll need to either craft or buy more packs for
If you wanted to make money, which option would you pick? I am actually surprised they even made adventures in the first place, considering it's Blizzard

Craft Golden Versions of all those cards
Next Month Blizzard gives you the dust that it costs to craft them
You get those cards for free
If you have the normal versions you can disenchant the golden ones for a free 3700 dust

Never trust a Jew.

Half of those cards could have been keep without problems in Standard the other half could have been keep if Level 5 knew how to make expansion.

no it didnt
I liked PvE content.
When does this shit get patched in? Any official date?
I am still opening classic packs and dont want to craft a punch of golden cards only to open another golden legend I waste dust crafting
>>168543069
they could have been kept sure
but the point of standard is to see new decks and cards every year and ideally every expansion
all of those cards are either strong enough to always be present or make their respective deck always viable
>>168525858
>maximumoverbait.jpg
>>168543232
Wait what?
>>168543185
No it didn't because Brode final solution'd people who hoard cards by directly refunding the dust for the normal limit and not adjusting the disenchant value.
>>168542615
but every class cant have a heal or a neutral one
it doesn't fit the lore!
even though warriors can heal in wow and we have oc characters like ragnaros lightlord but it still ruins the lore of they get healing cards!
>>168543357
This
Really we should be offered full dust value for these cards getting rotated out
Instead they are jewing us out of dust

I am not him, but let's be honest.
Conceal is only played in Miracle.
Putting Conceal in WIld and keeping Auctioneer is like telling "Miracle is right we just want you to have counter against it."
And it will be ok untill you pull out all the puzzle :
Conceal
Azure Drake
Bucaneer
Pillager rotating out.
They just want to kill Miracle, but don't want the player to understand that.
So they kill all the other cards while keepig Auctioneer in.
They are just a bunch of retard.

They said there will still be adventure content where they explore the lore and shit. Just not the expansions with cards.
Also more cards means better game most of the times. Adventures rarely actually shifted the meta the same way expansions side simply because of the low amount of cards introduced.
Yeah, I know, expansions are more expensive and that's shit. But expansions are objectively healthier than adventures for the game.
>>168543640
blizzard doesn't want core cards to hold up entire archtypes no matter what's in the expansions
like miracle and freeze run off almost entirely the core set which blizzard hates

I'm making fun of it.
There excuse for not giving hunter, warrior ect healing cards was lore reason.
When in wow, the game hearthstone is based from those classes can heal, all classes can heal to an extent there such as warriors building rage and consuming it
