It only starts being a parallel after enhancements, though, because a proper baby Gil will never equip anything that isn't a sword/katana/greatsword. Even after that, he only gets daggers and spears, and there are no good daggers.

He "can" equip anything, but he almost never should. You can make some niche setups for arena with it, but that's about the extent of it.

I'm going to take on the ELT valentines dungeon. Any tips before I go in? Going to take the light weakness path.

Thinking of brining Luneth, Refia, CoD, Rain and Cecil.

I also have on hand Miyuki x2, Snow, Ling, Exdeath, Bartz and Yun.

My available TMRs are DWx2, Dragon Killer and Excalibur. I could get dual cast by today but that would mean I would have to use some trust moogles. But I don't want to do that if I don't have too.

Like I said, Vanille. Her inst cast medica BSB saved my ass more than I can count, and it's been most likely the only reason I haven't been kicked out of MPs.
Also raises her Mind a moderate amount, and her cmd1 is actually really strong, two ST whm holy+moderate Res down; it often capped out in damage while my phys attacker couldn't. Cmd2 is the standard weak cure to the whole party.

I might try Aerith BSB if I try the Torment closes.

Yes Paladin is amazing. Barret is a great card because it has a discounted augment cost and should have farmable ability level fodder in 4 hours. Just get aoe fire and water cards to go with it, along with haste.

It may be a good idea to drop one of the attacks for a second support if you have Masamune, but I can't speak from experience.

Comes in the Vayne event phase 1 which is 2 weeks/ events from now. Anyway if I'm guessing correctly, there's no "drop rate bonus", essentially meaning you have less chance to get a 6* than a 5*. Click shop and summon cards. The top banner always summons a job you don't already own. Don't worry about ability summons until you understand the game better. There are a lot of good abilities you can simply buy from the ability shop without gacha RNG. They also ability tickets, a currency that's easier to get than summon tickets.

Yeah, that much I've figured. Thing is, if possible, I'd rather use summon tickets on a gacha that guarantees a job, even if dupe, and ability cards at the same time. Since I only have Soldier 1st, it should be easy to get non-dupe jobs for a while. I'd feel really bad spending 6 tix for just a job or just abilities.

As for abilities, I've been reading some guides, at least for Soldier it'll take until the 4th panel to be able to run the great cards due to the "use ranger" ability. I'm keeping track on the good abilities to buy, even more so if they seem to have an universal use (such as Hermes).
