So i downloaded blender, installed the nifscope plugin/addon, it shows up in the blender addon list, its activated and i can see the option for it when clicking on import.

However, if i do import my femalebody_1.nif, nothing happens.

Do i needs some kind of old version of blender for it to work or something?

No I don't import textures either; I just leave the texture in the same directory as the mesh in a .png format (like body.png) and it'll load it, just make sure it's in the diffuse line of the .nif

There's probably way less convoluted methods but I'm a retard that doesn't want to learn Blender's ins and outs so I just do what's barely required to get the job done

So /tesg/, I'm using Nehkanimal's Awesome Vampire Overhaul for Oblivion and I can't feed from corpses or animals. Does anyone know how to fix this? i installed the mod after becoming a vampire, if that has anything to do with it.

I had it enabled on a prior ENB but since removing that ENB (with tool) and trying TKRE which looks like vaseline all over my screen, not sure why and removing that too, I've not had the warning popup about x64 memory when launching. CBBE is outdated trash with a lower poly model than UNP and about 70% less mods for it, not to mention all those conversions and plugins for racemenu

Bellas is literally one of the worst textures out there and if you did not notice that while playing, there is no more hope for you as you have been born with abysmally shit taste. tesgeneral.com even warns of using bellas. the waifu section has tons of textures to use.

I use the latter but I really don't like it because when you choose a "class" it usually gives you shit for equipment.

So I just built a new computer after using a glorified toastie machine for the better part of 4-5 years (it ran ck2 and eu4 very well, but with Skyrim I had to stick to gameplay, weapons and armour mods)

Should I be going for 2k textures with these specs, or should I stick to the 1k ones recommended by STEP (useful for finding obscure mods)?

Bear in mind that this computer was built after saving money by way of an incredibly difficult dry january and was still pretty budget.

Like I said, start with clone if you have to, but I find it's best to just get extremely close to the mesh and meticulously smudge it one tiny section at a time at 100% opacity.

You'll actually see whether you're creating a new seam or not due to polygon distortion and be able to fix it if you do.

Working on an area that small means it will look natural when you zoom out.

All of my weapons are suddenly displaying 0 damage.

The only thing I changed since I last played was add a new texture pack for towns so I doubt that's affecting it. Anyone else ever have this problem? Googling it just points to removing mods that I don't even have installed.

I've read that and followed the instructions. I converted the rock textures with nrm/nm.dds to n.dds, I removed the NiTextureEffect and NiSourceTexture (with the _nm suffix) blocks. I even double-checked, and I still got shiny rocks. What gives? I mean, thanks for the help and all but nothing seems to be working for me.

People tried out SE, but only Follower-kun and a few people ever actual post or talk about it.

It current has no SKSE and the one coming out is a beta, that means its gonna be really buggy. It will probably take a year or so to get the SKSE64 to the current state of Oldrim.

This ontop of Boris saying ENB for SE isnt gonna be anywhere as good as Oldrims ENB due to lack of Subsurface Sampling, I think?

Also SE is currently limited on mods, if you wanna do a more stable nearly vanilla run SE is best bet. If you want to mod and waifu you'll need Oldrim.

Alright, it's nearly been a decade since I last played Oblivion and all the recent threads on /v/ have gotten me hyped for doing a modded playthrough before those Skyblivion niggers finally finish their project (apparently it's actually making huge amounts of progress now)

What are some beginner's tips for modding Oblivion? I already got the whole thing about using Oblivion Mod Manager instead of NMM or MO, is there anything else somebody that has only ever modded New Vegas and Skyrim before this should know?

I'm getting massive stuttering with ENB enabled. I've been googling and doing research all day to no avail. My fps is a stable 50+ but the stuttering makes the game unplayable.

I disabled vsync in Skyrimprefs and in ENB settings and enabled it in my video card profiler. I properly configured my ENB memory settings to my card and tried every reserved memory setting. I tweaked the ENB preset for as much performance as possible without losing quality, etc.

Any suggestions /tesg/?

So I went ahead a tweaked the a.i. for both factions, but I did it in a way that shouldnt effect any combat overhauls.

For example; the stormcloaks during the battle of whiterun will be aware of the imperial ranged advantage (due to their rifles) and will set up position near a farm so they can use their bows indirect attack abilities to their advantage, while trying to lure the imperials too them.

The imperials for the most part, will try to stick to their defensive position, at least until it becomes obvious that they have to attack to drive out the stormcloaks.

Every siege will be different now, and hopefully more dynamic.
