Gerudos aren't enemies of the royal family anymore.
After the Sheikah fucked up with the giant robot beasts, Gerudo replaced them and took the role of royal guards. The fact some Gerudo helped the hero of time to beat Ganondorf made the king change idea about them.
That is why Link wears Gerudo-like gear but the Gerudo girl doesn't wear the champion shirt, she doesn't need to, Gerudos are royal guards.
However Sheikah aren't evil and they are trying to redeem themselves by helping Link in his quest with magic orbs.

So during some of the BotW gameplay on youtube, when Link leaves the plateau and grabs a horse, the audio gets distorted after a bit then goes back to normal.
I thought it was maybe a technical error, like someone stepped on a wire while recording, but I've seen it in multiple videos now. Is it intentional? Or just a bug from too many overlapping sound effects?

Ikana Castle is where the Sheikah attacked the royal family of Termina. The Sheikah are the interlopers, and succeeded in stealing Termina's Triforce with their dark magic. You can tell this because the Sheikah are ninjas skilled in shadow magic, the Sheikah are obviously the Twili based on architecture and character traits such as red eyes, and Zant uses the same fighting style and swords as Garo ninja.

The soldiers of Ikana Valley are all skeletons who are still loyal to their cause. Link also becomes a skeleton, still loyal to his cause, as we learn the Hero's Shade is Link after Majora's Mask. Stone Tower Temple has a lot of Sheikah symbolism and was likely built by them.

The Happy Mask Salesman is likely a Sheikah as he has darker skin and red eyes. It's entirely possible he was an interloper.

The Sheikah monks look like Re-Deads and there are traitorous Sheikah who wear the symbol upside-down, similar to how Lorule is an upside-down version of Hyrule. In Lorule, Hilda is also likely of Sheikah origin as she has darker skin and red eyes as well, and wears purple. Demise is likely of Lorulian origin, as his sword has an upside-down Triforce and he appeared through a crack in the Earth, the same way you get to Lorule in Link Between Worlds.

It can easily be demonstrated that Lorule and Termina are the same dimension.

What does it mean?

Probably nothing other than Breath of the Wild will have more really cool connections like this.

Honestly, they look dangerous as hell, and can one shot you, but if dark souls has taught me anything it's that with enough methodical dodging and weak chip damage you can take down anything, just remain calm and don't waste your stamina.

Basically, stand your ground and dodge/parry lasers at the last seconds to conserve stamina, then chip away with bombs and runes, maybe use cryonis to create cover to hide behind. give it 5 minutes and you will take down a solo guardian no problem. Be calm, have courage, you can do this anon, you're legs ain't broke yet.
