Why is it I seem to tilt people when as a Warden I start spamming Heavy up attack? They realize its the highest damage move and where we rest our guard on the most yea?

I really like raider but he feels weak against anyone who isn't either new, incompetent or both. All of his decent moves are easy to avoid or counter. Disorientation is great but it's always an overhead so it's easy to predict a's well as relying on a dash which doesn't have much range or any dodge utility. Every thing else is super slow.

A knight wouldn't really be drinking tea, as it was a luxury in the medieval ages (and going by the game's lore, probably doesn't exist anywhere outside the samurai lands), plus it's more likely they'd be a rough person with a strict honor code rather than a gentle and educated lover.

True, and this is kind of what forces the slower classes into a boring, defensive playstyle where you need to rely a lot on parrying, feinting attacks to make the faster classes do their shitty dodge -> followup so you can parry that and such. Peacekeeper can get away with just mashing light attack in a lot of cases because it's fast as hell and can be difficult to react to, and once you take a hit it starts breaking your momentum.

The dash r1 followed by an r2 gets you a free heavy most of the time. Also dash into guard break can let you grab them and carry them in to a wall for a free overhead r2 most of the time. The unblockable r1+r2 is also an option but I feel like most of the time you'd be better off just guard breaking and taking the normal r2 because it seems the unblockable does less damage.

The reason why I couldn't reliably get top counters with warden is because of the delay in light attacks after changing block direction. In hindsight it seems so obvious but this whole time I was wondering what the fuck was going on. Now I only go for them if I've already got my blocking at the top. If it's at the side I need to 'counter' way before the attack actually gets to me to allow for the delay of attack.

Nobushi is not an assassin

How to play each character? Style wise. Summarize.

Example: Warden

Good at parry and pressing advantage. But you must start that advantage. Don't be close range and put yourself in spam range. You don't have a shield and can't spam back.

So stay spaced out and make them initiate and go for feints you have lots of stamina for them.

Start fights from mid far range and go for your sprint attack or zoning attack to start dmg and annoy them.

Be in control. If they come at you you can parry and take advantage and chain atks then go for guard break to chain again or just back up and initiate another fight in your favor.

I never stay in conquerer or pk close range until I'm chaining attacks then I back up again. I do the same for nobushi. Then get in and they struggle to push back parrying their Atks. Vs warlord same they're forced to come to you

Use your feints sprint atk and zoning atk to start a fight or get dmg then party to get in and guard breaks to chain combos then back up and repeat. If you stay in you will be spammed and struggle to get a parry off their faster atks.

You have to predict when they're going to attack to have any hope. Meanwhile they can also parry you. Fast characters are inevitably going to dominate high level play as is, I guarantee it. Warlord and Conq might possibly be an exception but I have no really played them so I couldn't say.

I just picked up the deluxe edition, with the 20% off it was the same price as standard. It's a really fun game to kill time with, matches are fast and furious.

My number one complaint right now is all the shitters running this game on HDD. Having to sit in the loading screen for 20 seconds while their 20 year old toaster whirs through the data makes my fucking blood boil.

that's not how parry works. You can parry ANY attack in the game, regardless of how fast their attack is and how slow your heavy attack is because you're not actually attacking, but triggering a parry with the same button.

I can parry every single Nobushi light attack vs. lvl 3 bots. Fuck I can parry every single attack from Peacekeeper as well.
