Are you really supposed to cheese the second main story boss? I could not figure out any legitimate strategy other than bait an attack, dash in, poke, dash out, repeat. The fight took quite a long time.
Block? enjoy losing ALL your stamina from two hits.
Stay nearby and just i-frame dodge everything? Enjoy getting hit by the second attack from the big 360 aoe attacks because this isn't dark souls and dashing is much more punishable (as it should be).

The other bosses have been good but this boss was so lame. For reference the boss I'm talking about is Hino-enma

What Ninja moves are good? I played the last demo only and stopped after one clearing of Ogress. The only ninja abilties I tried were the paralytic poison and the second bomb lob. Neither seemed like they would be good at any point, but I could be wrong. The paralysis never proc'd because everyone died too quickly and the bomb seemed too slow for the piss poor damage it did.

For those of you that went honorabru samurai 3kat build, what stats did you focus on first?

So, the health increase stat also boosts spear damage and the ki (stamina) increase stat also boosts 1h sword damage.

Isnt this a bit too strong for these weapons? I mean, I'd have to level up 2~3 stats instead of one if I were to play dual swords, for example, in order to get hp, stamina and damage.

Also, does this game have magic? I just did the prison and the dojo tutorial, will play more tomorrow.

Whatever. There's no strict build allotments. If you're going with heavy armor you'll want stamina and strength a bit. Really I mostly just stat for gear as needed, and if I think I'm good on stamina/strength I'll go with body/heart becuase I'm mostly 1kat/spear or invest more into magic.

The only thing I'd really recommend is getting your Spirit up to 10/11 so you can get full use of your guardian, then as you get new guardians like >>167730876 bump up your spirit for their full abilities.

The stats barely boost weapon damage, the most you'll get is +3 to damage, but it's usually +1 or +2. The real damage boosts come from the weapons themselves and the familiarity level.

And yes there's magic. Raising your Magic stat gets you skill points that let you unlock magic talismans, similarly Dex unlocks ninja skill points for ninja abilities. You'll get a tutorial level on that later.
